Professor Yolande Barnes is the chair of the UCL Bartlett Real Estate Institute and has been examining and analysing real estate markets since 1986. Her current role includes re-thinking real estate, institute-building and thought-leadership.

Nectar Efkarpidis is a director of Molonglo. Molonglo is a property developer with offices and projects in

Canberra, Melbourne, London and Athens. Molonglo is responsible for conceiving of and executing

diverse projects such as the mixed use neighbourhood of New Acton; Hotel Hotel; a series of publishing

projects including the Other Moderns, a book about Sydney’s forgotten émigré architects, interior

designers and furniture makers; and Dairy Road, a new 40 building mixed use, landscape focused,

industrial neighbourhood that has been slowly seeded with brewers, roasters, distillers, rock climbing

facilities and the like.

These projects have been achieved through intense and at times experimental research, design,

development and programming; as well as the conception and operation of businesses on site. No matter

their scale, these endeavours have been, and continue to be, cross-disciplinary and collaborative; messy

and fluid; and above all iterative. Molonglo projects attempt in earnest to link practice with theory and

theory with practice in order to create places with more-than commercial intent.

Nectar undertook a degree in Economics and Arts (majoring in Philosophy and Psychology) from the

Australian National University and a Masters in Interactive Multimedia from the University of the Arts

London, where he was the recipient of a significant 12-month research grant to explore evolutionary

narratives, systems and structures.

Jeremy is CEO of the Business Division and a commercial real estate partner.

He is a commercial real estate lawyer, advising developers, investors and landowners on a broad range of routine as well as complex real estate development issues and transactions. Clients appreciate Jeremy’s commercial and pragmatic approach. Jeremy trained at Withers and became a partner in 2005.

Dan’s creative problem solving is informed by cutting-edge knowledge of workplace trends. He works with occupiers to ensure they benefit fully from their space, and with developers to maximise building usability.

With KKS since 2007, Dan provides senior leadership in the strategy team, focusing on strategic briefing, space analysis, re-stacking and space planning to maximise business performance through complex analytical scenarios.
