Sophie van Oosterom is global head of real estate, overseeing the growth of Schroders’ direct and indirect real estate business.

She most recently served as CEO and chief information officer of EMEA for CBRE Global Investors, where she was responsible for the oversight of all operations, investment strategy and performance, underwriting, and programme development in the region.

Van Oosterom also served as a member of CBRE Global Investors' global executive committee and global investment committee, and as chair of the European executive committee and European investment committee.

She began her real estate and finance career in 1996. Before joining CBRE Global Investors, she was a managing director and European head of asset management of the Lehman Brothers Real Estate Partners private equity funds (now Silverpeak Real Estate Partners), which held around $20B of assets under management at its peak.

Hayley Holness is an Investment Director in Lendlease’s Investment & Capital Markets team in Europe and is responsible for transactions across various asset classes.. Hayley joined Lendlease in 2018 from Tishman Speyer’s acquisition team and her experience includes acquisitions, dispositions, development, asset management, and business strategy across the EMEA region.

John is a Partner at Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners. He joined RSHP in 2001 and has been involved in several well-known projects including The Leadenhall Building, One Hyde Park and NEO Bankside.

John was the project architect on the World Conservation and Exhibition Centre (WCEC) at the British Museum which was shortlisted for the Stirling Prize in 2017. More recently he worked on the new conservation and collections facility for the Musée du Louvre located in Nord-Pas-de-Calais.

He is currently working on the British Library extension as well as other projects in London, the Middle East and the US. John’s role in the practice also keeps him heavily involved in recruitment, communications and establishing new business.

Roger jointly leads the development of Canada Water, a 53 acre development project in Central London. He joined British Land and was appointed to the Executive Committee in 2016.

Roger joined British Land in February 2016 after 29 years at Argent, where as Development Director/CEO he secured and led major projects in Manchester, Birmingham, the Thames Valley, the City of London and the 58 acre King’s Cross Development. He was awarded CBE for Services to Sustainable Development in 2006.

Professor Yolande Barnes is the chair of the UCL Bartlett Real Estate Institute and has been examining and analysing real estate markets since 1986. Her current role includes re-thinking real estate, institute-building and thought-leadership.

Sherry Dobbin, FRSA, is Chair of the Urban Art Forum UK for the Urban Land Institute-UK and Partner at Futurecity UK, a global placemaking and public art commissioning agency based in London where she consults for developers, cities, business improvement districts to establish permanent and programmatic cultural sustainability for place identity. She has worked across all artforms for over thirty-five years, leading cultural organisations, and curating for public realm in four continents. She served as Director of Times Square Arts and Creative Director for Times Square Alliance from 2012-2016 and founded Midnight Moment, which is the world’s largest and longest running digital art exhibition, shown on the electronic billboards every night since 2012. She has print-published contributions for ULI-UK’s Including Culture in Development; Routledge Handbook of Placemaking Improving Places; Greater London Authority; Selected 9 , LOOP Festival of Moving Image 2004 in Barcelona; Teatp No. 26, Moscow; The New Spacer, State Theatre of Moscow; Theatre journal for Yale University Press; What Urban Media Art Can Do, Public Art Lab, Berlin; and The Watermill Center, Daco Press. She is a Lecturer for London Metropolitan University on ‘Public Art Commissioning & Funding” and previously an Associate Professor at NYU Wagner School on ‘Arts & The Artists in Urban Revitalisation.” She is a proud partner of The Walk and bringing partnerships with UNICEF 75 & Piccadilly Lights to their global efforts.

Christopher Stanwell is a Planning and Environment lawyer. He heads DACB’s Planning team and is a member of the firm’s Real Estate Executive.

He specialises in advising both private and public sector clients on a wide range of planning, compulsory purchase, highways and public law matters, with a particular emphasis on mixed-use regeneration, retail, infrastructure and industrial.

Paul joined Australian Super, working in the London office, in November 2020 and is responsible for property investment activity in the UK and Europe. Since his arrival Paul has built out the Property team in London and led the acquisition of a 50% interest in the Canada Water regeneration scheme in partnership with British Land.

Paul has over thirty years’ experience in real estate investment, development and management. Previously he spent 13 years at The Crown Estate where he was the Chief Investment Officer and ran the strategy, investment, development and asset management teams dealing with £16 billion of assets. During his time there the teams he led were involved in around £10 billion of real estate transactions and completed over 2 million sq ft of new development. He also devised and led the creation of major partnerships with significant blue chip investors both in central London and around the UK. Prior to this Paul ran the real estate investment portfolio of the Church Commissioners.

Paul has also held various non-executive positions on unlisted vehicles and continues to contribute more widely to the real estate sector. Currently he sits on the board of Pathways To Property and is an active member of the British Property Federation.

John Mulryan is the Group Managing Director of The Ballymore Group.

Based in London, John has overseen Ballymore becoming one of the biggest providers of residential accommodation in the city. These include landmark schemes including London City Island, Embassy Gardens, and Goodluck Hope. John also worked alongside the US government to move their embassy from Grosvenor Square to Embassy Gardens at Nine Elms, establishing a new riverside cultural district for the city and signalling a major shift in London’s diplomatic centre of gravity.

In Ireland, John is overseeing the completion of the group’s regeneration project on North Wall Quay, Dublin Landings. John is also responsible for ensuring planning permission is submitted for Ballymore’s large mixed-use scheme on 2.8 hectares at CIE Connolly Station in Dublin’s IFSC.

Prior to being appointed Group Managing Director in January 2018, John was Managing Director of Ballymore UK from July 2010. Prior to that, he was General Manager of Operations from July 2008 to July 2010.

He graduated from University College Dublin with a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Civil Engineering in 2004.

Lynn is Portfolio Director, Development & ESG at M&G Real Estate, responsible for M&G’s office development portfolio including the flagship City of London project, 40 Leadenhall. It is the second time that Lynn has joined M&G Real Estate having joined in 2016 as a Development Director covering the main commercial sectors, residential and master planning.

She has extensive experience in development across all sectors in the UK and Europe having previously worked at Europa, Aviva and The EDI Group. Passionate about sustainable design and the drive to zero carbon, Lynn has worked in commercial property for more than 30 years, is a judge for the BCO and Construction News Awards.

Ed is the Development Director for The Silvertown Quays Project for The Silvertown Partnership, a joint venture between Lendlease Europe and Starwood Capital.

Ed has over 20 years experience in the property industry at senior positions in client and consultancy organisations, both in the UK and aboard.

Jonathan has a wide range of experience across a number of sectors and in particular within the London real estate market providing advice to developers, occupiers and investors which is borne out of his extensive experience in mixed use masterplan developments.

He quickly engages with clients and design teams alike building strong relationships and gaining their respect through his thorough and professional approach. Jonathan sits on G&T Professional Services Committee and always brings enthusiasm and dedication to the team
