Appointed as Director of Cambridge Science Park in August 2022, Jane Hutchins brings a wealth of

experience of the science park sector and the innovative companies and people it serves.

Jane is also chair of the Cambridge Forum for Place, established by Cambridge University Health

Partners and the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority, and chair of Anglia Ruskin

University’s business advisory board.

Working in partnership with Trinity College Cambridge and managing agents Bidwells, Jane is

responsible for delivering the College’s future vision for the Science Park. This includes an ambitious

new cycle of investment focused on sustainability, amenity enhancement and the creation of diverse

and inclusive employment opportunities for the wider Cambridge community. Jane also plays a key role

in supporting existing and new businesses on the Park, which is at the heart of one of the best-known

and economically successful science, technology and innovation ecosystems in the world – Cambridge.

Simon has extensive experience of finance and the real estate sector. He joined British Land from Logicor, the owner and operator of European logistics real estate, where he had served as chief financial officer since January 2017. Prior to joining Logicor, from 2015 to 2017 Simon was finance director at Quintain Estates & Development Plc. Simon previously spent over 10 years with British Land, working in a variety of financial and strategic roles and was a member of our Executive Committee from 2012 until his departure in January 2015. Simon also previously worked for UBS in fixed income and qualified as a chartered accountant with Arthur Andersen.

Dr Sally Ann Forsyth OBE is CEO of Stevenage Bioscience Catalyst, a leading life science cluster, and NED of Life Science REIT, the first real estate investment trust focused on UK life science properties.

During her time at Stevenage, total private equity investment in biotechnology raised in Stevenage has grown to become comparable with that of the Cambridge, London and Oxford clusters.

Sally Ann has been responsible for the strategy, growth and development of four internationally recognised science parks including Stevenage Bioscience Catalyst, Harwell Oxford, Colworth Science Park and Norwich Research Park.

Key to this success has been the creation of vibrant ecosystems that generate outstanding clusters in the leading life science sectors in the UK.

She began her career with Unilever had lead responsibility for Strategic Alliances and was part of the founding team of Unilever Ventures. This gave her an understanding of the drivers for success of both large corporates and growing start-ups. She gained her property experience through Goodman International where she was Director of Science Parks responsible for the development and management of their UK portfolio.

She has a PhD in molecular biology from the University of Cambridge and is a qualified management accountant (CGMA).

As Chief Executive Officer of Europe, based in London, Paul leads the expansion of Harrison Street’s European strategies and is responsible for overseeing and growing the Firm’s team of professionals across the UK and Europe. Prior to joining Harrison Street, Paul was most recently President and Chief Operating Officer at Round Hill Capital, a real estate investment and asset management firm with a global footprint. While at Round Hill Capital, he managed a business with a $8+ billion portfolio as well as a team of 260 people across 15 offices in 14 countries. He has overseen investment and development projects, regulatory approvals, complex refinancings and capital raises in multiple European locations across a wide array of real estate asset sectors including retail, commercial, residential and student housing. Prior to joining Round Hill, Paul served as a Partner at Aggmore Group, where he was responsible for raising and deploying over €500 million of new capital and developed JV partnerships with European operators in the residential and commercial real estate space. Earlier he served as Chief Operating Officer at North Bridge Capital Partners Ltd. he began his career at KPMG LLP as a senior manager in the transaction services department. Paul earned a BA in Accounting and Financial Analysis from Newcastle University. he is ACA qualified and is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Priya is a Chartered Chemical Engineer, who has over 14 years’ experience working on high profile projects within a number of highly regulated sectors including pharmaceutical, industrial gases and nuclear. Over the last 7 years, she has managed large-scale projects within the life sciences sector for a number of pharmaceutical clients, and over this time has amassed extensive knowledge and expertise in the successful delivery of complex pharmaceutical manufacturing and life sciences real estate projects. In her current role, Priya has been involved in developing and growing the life sciences business across the UK and Europe for global construction consultancy firm Linesight and her technical background has enabled her to connect with clients to truly understand the technical complexities of their projects.

Jenny is currently leading Lendlease's role in overseeing the over-station development of the Euston regeneration project, in the heart of London's Knowledge Quarter. She has held a variety of other roles at the company, including leading the development of residential phases of Elephant Park and the conversion of projects in the Malaysian and Singaporean arms of the business. Jenny holds a keen interest in the potential of the built environment for delivering real social impact and was General Manager of Lendlease's not-for-profit organisation, BeOnsite, that helps people find careers in the construction industry who might come from challenging life circumstances.

Katherine leads the development of commercial assets and real estate partnerships on Imperial’s 22-acre White City Campus. Imperial’s campus has been designed to be a platform for innovation, entrepreneurship and multidisciplinary research. Imperial is now progressing the next phase of its masterplan to deliver a further 2.6m sq ft of mixed-used development. Prior to focusing on White City, Katherine worked on strategy, transactions, and development across Imperial’s diverse real estate investment portfolio.

Adam brings over 20 years’ experience working in a number of roles in the Pharmaceutical and CRO industry, including project management and laboratory leadership. His love for biological sciences started from a young age and was cemented after graduating from Anglia Ruskin University in Biomedical Sciences whilst working in Pharmacology at Huntingdon Life Sciences. There his skills for operational leadership were honed whilst working on global business change and strategy projects, before he moved on to more senior roles elsewhere. Adam joined hVIVO in 2014, where he has implemented a number of productivity and growth improvements, with a focus on operational delivery, business growth and personnel development. In his current role Adam has built a highly productive and motivated operational team, which have delivered the corporate targets for the group, improved quality and successfully implemented multiple facility fitouts and moves.

Jon is a Partner in our London office, specialising in the successful cost management of challenging and complex schemes. He is passionate about using our data and intelligence to achieve each Client’s unique definition of value on every scheme he is involved in.

His recent work at Core Five has included Bankside Yards, a large masterplan scheme for Native Land that encompasses working around significant Network Rail and UKPN assets, and a variety of other projects with Clients including Platform, Sellar, Patrizia, and the Battersea Power Station Development Company.

Prior to joining Core Five Jon worked for Davis Langdon (now AECOM) and was involved in a number of prestigious schemes, including being based at Sellar’s site office on the Shard at London Bridge for four years. He originally graduated from the University of Cambridge, receiving a BA (Hons) and CASM in Mathematics, and subsequently received an MSc in Surveying from the University College of Estate Management.

Jon is part of several initiatives at Core Five dedicated to encouraging diversity in the built environment professions. He was fortunate to join our great industry as a non-cognate himself, and is committed to encouraging access to talent from all backgrounds and creating environments in which they can thrive.
