Frederick Fischer

Managing Director

Lalique

Frederick’s relationship with the luxury industry began when he started his career at the Louis Vuitton store in Paris. Initially hesitant, Frederick accepted a permanent sales consultant role, seduced by the challenge of the luxury industry. Frederick went on to fill various roles within Louis Vuitton: sales consultant, head cashier, boutique manager, visual merchandiser (for the opening of Champs-Elysées flagship store) and VIP relations specialist. During his time at Louis Vuitton, Frederick welcomed and cared for celebrity and Royalty (especially during the World Cup 1998) and trained more than 150 staff.

His love affair with London started when he was sent from Paris to ‘rescue’ the Lalique Sloane Street boutique; following his quick success with the boutique, he was promoted to UK retail manager, overseeing the management of four existing Lalique boutiques and opening four new stores in Conduit Street, Burlington Arcade, Bicester Village and a concession in Harrods (second best T.O. worldwide). Frederick is keen on architecture and an expert in retail world, lending his hand closely to the design of the new stores, including choosing pieces of furniture and décor.

Born in France but an Anglophile at heart, Frederick has lived in Camden Town for decades. In his free time, he likes to cook, dance, ski, walk and explore. His eye for detail, harnessed throughout this working life, also has led him to refurbish eight apartments in the last ten years. It is amusing to know that Frederick’s mother was in charge of the retail activities of the Prince de Galles Hotel when he was born - he was born in the luxury industry.
