She built a multi-billion assets under management (AuM) business for Deutsche Bank, utilising her skills in business building, leadership and investment solutions. In 2023, she became the CEO of DWS UK, overseeing 500 staff and over €200bn AuM across Global Alternatives and Passive public market strategies.As CEO and Co-Founder of Aboria Capital, her ambition is to create an innovative, leading vertically integrated partner for investors in the European Living sector market.In July 2024, Jessica became the President of the British Property Federation (BPF) and joined the board of INREV.

Angela Russell is a Senior Managing Director and a Greystar Executive Committee

Member, leading Greystar’s business operations in Europe. Based in Greystar’s London

office, she is responsible for overseeing the finance, tax, technology, and corporate

departments for both the multifamily and student platforms across the region. Angela

works with her team to ensure effective local execution in each of Greystar’s seven

European markets against the company’s global vision and framework. She also has led

the integration of acquisitions into Greystar and in 2022 led the corporate integration of

the £3.2bn Student Roost deal in the UK.

Angela has gained extensive experience in both private and listed property companies in the US and

Europe. Prior to joining Greystar in 2016, she was Group Financial Controller of listed REIT Primary Health

Properties Plc where she oversaw the finance function for their £1.5bn portfolio. She previously spent ten

years working in the real estate practice at PwC. Angela is a mentor for the CREW/LIRE and participates in

the CREFC Europe COO Forum and other industry panels.

Angela is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an

emphasis in accounting from California State University.

Before founding Mirastar, Ekaterina co-founded Delin Properties in 2011, initially as Head of Investments and subsequently as Managing Director. During this period, the company secured third-party investment, expanding assets under management from €400 million to over €1.3 billion in under three years.

Earlier in her career, Ekaterina honed her skills while working with ING Real Estate in the Netherlands and GVA in Moscow.

She is responsible for setting the fund strategy and overseeing all fund activity including regulatory reporting, investor relations, marketing and portfolio level asset management, development and property management activities. Her previous role at Royal London Asset Management was as Portfolio Fund Manager for the Royal London Pension Property Fund, a £7bn UK balanced property fund. She has over 20 years’ experience in the Real Estate industry, joining Royal London Asset Management in 2006 as an Asset Manager focussing on the Office Sector, gaining significant office sector expertise where she undertook asset management, development and investment transactions across all property funds. Stephanie’s Portfolio Fund Manager career started in 2011, when she was promoted to Deputy Fund Manager for Royal Liver Life Fund. A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building, Lynn started her career as a site engineer and spent the first 18 years working as a Main Contractor on major projects across the UK. With a background in project and preconstruction management she has worked in a wide variety of different sectors including; PFI schools, science laboratories, research centres, retail, leisure, residential and commercial offices.

Birks is responsible for day-to-day operations, working with investors, leading architects and

Her role spans HR, leading corporate social value initiatives, driving technology adoption

and managing well-being needs. Birks was instrumental in Socius becoming one of the

property sector’s few B Corps and continues to support the board in leading on its

commitments.

Birks also works on new project bids and planning applications and is part of the team

working with Aviva Capital Partners to bring forward a £1B development at the London

Cancer Hub to create the world’s leading centre for cancer research.

Chiara Caldwell

Chiara Caldwell is managing director for structured finance at Close Brothers Property

Finance.

She joined CBPF in January to head up the lender's newly created structured finance team,

with the view to spearhead growth across purpose-built student accommodation and build-

to-rent.

Since taking the reins, Caldwell has grown the team with the appointment of Manu Dinamani

as director and is in advanced discussions for over £100M worth of transactions to support

delivery of 300 BTR homes and 350 student beds.

Caldwell played a pivotal role in curating a bespoke £38M revolving credit facility for Close

Brothers client Fernham Homes in June, marking the first multisite RCF offered by the bank.

This will support the delivery of over 400 new homes across six sites with a gross

development value of £168M.

Suraiya Comunello

Suraiya Comunello is the chief marketing officer at Nido Living, the European student

accommodation company.

With 15 years of experience in property marketing and brand strategy, she leads on

corporate positioning, B2B and B2C branding, communications and marketing strategies that

support Nido’s growth across Europe. Since joining in 2018, she has established Nido as a

globally recognised brand and platform.

A passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, Comunello co-founded and chairs GSL’s

Women in PBSA Committee, mentors rising female leaders and was recognised as PBSA

Woman of the Year 2023. She is committed to developing future industry talent and driving

meaningful, lasting change across the sector.

Before joining Nido, Comunello held senior marketing and brand leadership roles at Hines,

GSA and The Student Housing Co., where she played a key role in successful brand

launches and international expansion.

Vanessa Davey

Vanessa joined Quadrant Estates over 10 years ago as an asset and investment manager in the firm’s retail team. She was promoted to Head of Transactions in 2019, working across all sectors, where she has been involved in property, corporate, and debt transactions totalling over £1 billion in value. More recently, Vanessa was promoted to Chief Investment Officer.

Vanessa has been responsible for structuring and managing Quadrant’s joint venture partnerships and co-investment vehicles with private equity firms, family offices, and institutional investors. Highlights include Quadrant’s JV with Oaktree Capital to transform 30 South Colonnade in Canary Wharf into the 415,000 sq ft YY London scheme that Revolut moved into last year, as well as Quadrant’s JV with AIMCo to develop the 166,000 sq ft OSMO building in Battersea. Vanessa, working with the rest of Quadrant’s executive team, is also developing and implementing Quadrant’s strategic vision to take advantage of attractive investment opportunities it sees in the London office market. This includes a mandate with a Singapore-based Asian family office, which last year saw the acquisition of 6 Gracechurch Street. Her remit covers the full real estate asset life cycle from acquisition to exit, including monitoring performance across Quadrant’s portfolios to ensure the delivery of business plans and investor satisfaction.

Vanessa is also responsible for securing Quadrant’s future success in her leadership role by shaping the firm’s culture and recruitment strategies to attract and develop talent and build high-performing teams that underpin growth. She is leading Quadrant’s push to deploy AI, which will be crucial to the firm's future progress.

Management team for the Belgravia portfolio. There she was accountable for delivering the long term

strategy to create distinctive and vibrant neighbourhoods which attract footfall, spend and offer

prosperity to their tenants. Having moved around the Grosvenor business over ten years, and setting

up the London Estate investment team, she has stakeholder management expertise, strategic

planning experience, major change credentials and can point to significant operational success

heading a £1bn business.

Claire leads the Asset Management team at Stanhope, a portfolio of just under 3 million sq ft and

£2.5bn of assets under management. Most notably, Claire has focused on the recently transformed

White City area to deliver the strategic vision and further build on the areas commercial success and

established reputation as a vibrant, innovative and creative part of London.

in the industry for over a decade, holding investing roles at Cheyne Capital and Lloyds Bank

prior to her current role.

and executing investment opportunities across all real estate sectors. Alongside this, she

has played a key role in closing new products for the real estate business and drives forward

Hatch has significantly contributed toward the commercial and lease-up success of Greystar’s assets, personally closing over £350M of B2B leasing deals over her nine years there.

Beyond her commercial achievements, Hatch is deeply committed to creating an inclusive and supportive workplace. She champions diversity and well-being, speaking openly about her involvement within the LGBTQIA+ community — something that isn’t typically celebrated enough within the real estate sector. She is also an active member of the Association for Rental Living’s DEI Committee.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality moments with her family, including their delightful cavapoo, Crunchie, who is the star of the show. You can often find her on a long country walk, hitting the tennis court or catching up with friends and family. She has a passion for the outdoors and loves exploring as much as she can. She finds it's valuable to take a quiet moment to appreciate those around her and practice some mindfulness.

Emily King is head of refurbishment for iQ Student Accommodation. She is a strong

advocate for women in construction, inclusivity and mentorship, demonstrated by continuing

professional development for herself and her team.

Having been selected for the WiHTL & DiR Global Women Leaders Programme, she has

used this experience to further establish herself in a senior role.

Leading on recent developments in the sector with the new Building Safety Act, King has led

the upskilling of her team and the wider business as well as supporting contractors as they

navigate this new legislation.

Laura Kurt

Managing Director

Fusion Group

Laura Kurt is Managing Director at Fusion Group, one of the UK’s leading student accommodation developers. Since joining in 2019, she has led on brand strategy, ESG, and marketing, and now drives the development of Fusion’s product offering, overseeing operations and asset management across its growing portfolio. Laura has played a key role in shaping Fusion’s wellbeing-focused approach and has led initiatives such as its supplier framework and social impact campaigns.

Jessica Mellor-Clark

Jessica leads BeOnsite, Lendlease’s unique not-for-profit employment vehicle. BeOnsite reaches those most in need of employment support, including those who are long term unemployed, former offenders and serving prisoners nearing the end of their sentence. Through a bespoke direct employment model, BeOnsite supports not just a person looking to get onto the job ladder, but also their prospective employer, bringing untapped, diverse talent to Lendlease and our supply chain. Jessica has always believed in the potential of employment as a catalyst for positive change and has spent her career making that a reality. She chairs the Ministry of Justice’s Employment Advisory Board at HMP Featherstone and is a member of the Employers Forum for Reducing Reoffending leadership team. Her innovative Mind the Gap programme led to BeOnsite being awarded the 2022 Queen’s Award for Enterprise for Enabling Opportunity. Her MA in War Studies helps her keep the peace at home!

Anna Moore

Anna Moore is the founder and CEO of Domna, a retrofit firm, and a former McKinsey

partner who led the firm’s global construction practice. She started Domna with this

experience, seeing that there was a huge opportunity in retrofitting UK housing.

Domna works with housing associations, councils and institutional investors as a “one-stop”

partner, using a proprietary dataset from thousands of projects to triage portfolios, secure

complex grant funding and manage delivery through trusted contractors.

Bertie Norman

PATRIZIA SE

Bertie Norman joined Patrizia in 2019 as an associate, bringing four years of surveying

experience from her time at JLL. In just six years, she progressed to director level and, since

October 2024, has led the company’s strategic asset mandates team. Now, Norman

manages more than 20 colleagues specialising in cross-border capital allocation in Europe,

primarily for clients based in Asia, ranging from Hong Kong-listed REITs to Korean pension

funds and Taiwanese insurers.

She stepped up from a support role managing large asset projects in Europe and assisting

on the analysis and due diligence on new potential client projects in her first couple of years

to take on full responsibility for these activities in 2024, leading a team of investment

professionals managing €3B of assets as head of strategic asset mandates.

Lottie Outen

Lottie is Managing Director and Head of Strategy for Kennedy Wilson Europe. She is responsible for the development

and communication of KW’s European business strategy as well as the identification of new products

and strategic opportunities. Lottie is also responsible for sourcing UK equity investment

opportunities across all sectors and has completed over £1bn of transactions since joining KW.

Lottie previously worked at J.P. Morgan Cazenove in the UK Real Estate Investment Banking team,

where she focused on providing financial analysis and advice to a broad spectrum of real estate

clients. Lottie holds a degree in Modern Languages from Durham University, where she was awarded

a distinction in spoken Spanish

Anupriya Rajpal

Anupriya Rajpal, Development Director at Dominus, leads a diverse development team of 7 who are delivering 4,000 units across the hotel and PBSA sectors.

Anu oversees the team building 2,300 student homes at three sites in the City of London, including the development of 65 Holborn Viaduct, regarded as one of the most complex construction sites in London. Anupriya’s deep technical expertise and leadership have been pivotal, coordinating with multiple partners and stakeholders across Dominus’ portfolio.

A Chartered Architect with an MBA and a Master’s in Real Estate Development and Investment, she joined Dominus in 2019 and has since earned three promotions. Passionate about transforming the built environment, she excels at creating value through sustainable, design-led solutions.

Harriett Renny

Harriett Renny brings over 13 years of experience in the real estate sector and is currently Leasing Director at Battersea Power Station. In this role, she leads on attracting new retail, leisure, F&B and office tenants to one of London’s most iconic mixed-use regeneration projects. Harriett also oversees relationships with more than 170 British and international brands now based at Battersea Power Station, playing a key role in shaping its vibrant and diverse commercial community.

Soraya Shamji

Soraya Shamji is relationship director at Leumi UK, and her career has spanned

managing £2B hotel portfolios to closing competitive, multimillion-pound financings in record

time.

Most recently, she led a £62M refinancing for Splendid Hospitality Group, the first

partnership between the two firms, completing it in just two months. Her career also includes

senior roles at Aprirose Real Estate Investment, where she shaped a £500M Q Hotels

transaction, and at Lone Star-owned Hudson Advisors, overseeing large hospitality deals.

Irina Stamate-Rocha

Ms. Stamate-Rocha joined Patron in 2011, and focuses on healthcare, education and affordable housing related investment opportunities, with responsibilities including origination, execution, due diligence, execution, asset management and business plan implementation. Prior to joining Patron, Ms. Irina Stamate-Rocha worked in investment banking at Rothschild, Macquarie Capital Advisers and Fortis Bank (Brussels). Ms. Stamate-Rocha’s experience includes the origination and execution of transactions for private equity and infrastructure funds. Ms. Stamate-Rocha holds a Masters in Finance degree from Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School and she obtained a Bachelor in Economics from the Academy of Economics, Bucharest.

Phuong is the Head of International Real Estate at WeWork, based in London. She oversees the company’s international portfolio spanning 21 countries, 35 cities, and 166 locations across the EMEA and APAC regions. In this strategic leadership role, Phuong plays a key role in WeWork’s global portfolio management and growth. She is responsible for developing and executing portfolio strategies, leading lease negotiations, and fostering strong relationships with landlords and brokers - in close collaboration with WeWork’s Broker team.

Since joining WeWork, Phuong has held several roles, including in Global Landlord Partnerships and Deal Management, based in New York. Prior to WeWork, she was Vice President of Asset Management at BlackRock, managing a diverse portfolio of asset classes across the U.S. Before that, she worked as a real estate investment manager in Australia.

Previously, Amber was part of British Land’s Strategy team, where she led analysis and research to guide investment decisions and shape the long-term vision for the portfolio.
