The Kensington Building

The Kensington Building

Completed by AshbyCapital and Janson Urban in March 2022, The Kensington Building is an inspiring new place to work in one of central London’s most exciting neighbourhoods. With 94,734 sq ft of high-quality office space with flexible floor plates, high levels of natural light and impressive ceiling heights, alongside 12,329 sq ft of carefully landscaped terraces, The Kensington Building offers an exceptional environment to concentrate, collaborate, socialise and be creative. The Kensington Building also has excellent sustainability credentials; by reusing and repurposing 60% of the existing structure and foundations, embodied carbon has been reduced by 30% compared to a typical new-build office, while 100% of the building’s electricity comes from carbon neutral sources.

Event Postponement: New Date

We regret the need to reschedule the event but the proposed rail strikes on our original date (3 November) required that our partners and speakers move to a new date. While the strike has moved dates again, in the best interest of our attendees, partners, and speakers, we will continue with a new date and will host the event on Tuesday 29 November.

We appreciate our community's flexibility, patience and understanding as we navigated these announcements and changes. Tickets will automatically be transferred to the 29 November and you can view the full speaker line-up and agenda timings below.

Why This Matters

What You'll Learn At London's State Of The Market:

  • Navigating recession fears, inflation, rising interest rates and the unpredictability of macro-economics on London's commercial real estate.

  • Analysis on new ways to make money in commercial real estate, including diversifying core portfolios and implementing change.

  • The options that exist for financing projects outside of traditional platforms.

  • Insight into which asset classes, markets and funds are the best bet for London over the next year.

  • The developers seeking yields outside their comfort zone.

  • What does and does not count as an impact investment, and how it can be tracked and measured to see real-world solutions.

  • Financing property upgrades and ESG.

Projects: Our panelists and their companies are working on notable projects, including Hammersmith & Fulham Council's £160M mixed-use redevelopment of Hammersmith Town Hall, Landsec's net zero commercial office development The Forge, CO-RE's redevelopment of The Fitzrovia W1, Valesco's Cannon Bridge House and more!

How You'll Do More Business: The commercial real estate community knows it has to make big changes. ESG is top of the agenda, navigating governing party leadership shifts, a geo-political climate, inflation is the biggest influence impacting investment and development, demographics are changing, portfolios are shifting, and the asset classes once attracting the most investor attention, are evolving. According to Lambert Smith Hampton's UK Investment Transactions (UKIT) report, the market is staying resilient with 2022 Q1 seeing £16.7B of property assets transacted. How can investors and developers stay ahead of the curve? Which deals are seeing the most competition among buyers? What is now the most important factor when considering investment strategies? Hear from c-level executives and heads of real estate from the top owners, investors, developers and advisors on London's current CRE Playbook at this premium conference.

Bisnow events bring together the UK's most influential commercial real estate investors, owners, developers, lenders, occupiers, consultants and advisors for dynamic and unforgettable content and dedicated networking sessions. With the largest audience of CRE professionals in the world, no one knows how to help your business more than us. As always come early and stay late for ample networking — we'll see you there!
