Felicity joined Native Land in 2018 as a Development Executive specialising in commercial leasing for the companies’ pipeline of active projects. This includes Native Land’s landmark Bankside Yards project, 1.4m sq ft of mixed use development including extensive office and retail spaces, in addition to the successful pre-letting of One Three Six, situated in W1 and part of The Portman Estate. She also has experience in design and asset management.

In 2021, Felicity broadened her role to act as the lead sustainability strategist developing and implementing ESG strategy across the company and Native Land projects in addition to her other work.

Felicity has over six years’ experience in the Central London commercial property sector. Prior to Native Land she worked at Cushman & Wakefield, latterly in its City Development team. Felicity is a qualified Chartered Surveyor.

As chief executive of ULI Europe, Lisette van Doorn is  responsible for the development of the Institute’s activities across the region, including its renowned pan-European conferences and over 250 local meetings and events across 14 countries. She is also responsible for the ULI Charitable Trust, which raises money to advance ULI’s mission and philanthropic activities across Europe.

Van Doorn joined ULI from LIRE, her own consultancy business, which advises international institutional real estate investors and fund managers on strategy, organisational optimisation and portfolio structuring.

Prior to this, van Doorn was country manager for CBRE Global Investors where she managed a €1.6bn portfolio of assets in Italy and fund manager of two shopping centre funds (€ 1.3 billion) with assets in Spain, Portugal and Italy.

Before joining CBRE Global Investors, van Doorn was founding chief executive for INREV, the European association for Investors in Non-Listed Real Estate Vehicles for four and a half years. She started her career at ING Investment Management, where she held account manager and assistant controller positions before being made managing director of research & strategy for ING Real Estate Investment Management Europe.

Andres Guzman joined Tishman Speyer in 2022 as Head of ESG for Tishman Speyer’s European business. Andres oversees the integration and delivery of the firm’s European ESG strategy to ensure performance and manage associated risks, aligning with global goals. Andres has over 13 years of experience in driving responsible growth having previously focused on providing functional leadership to property consultancies. He is passionate about driving sustainability in real estate and has a proven track record of positive internal and external engagement to meet ambitious targets. Hala El Akl is Oxford’s Senior Director of ESG and Operations. In this role, Hala oversees

Oxford’s global ESG program, working collaboratively across functions such as Asset

Management, Operations, Development, Finance and Investment Risk to create a holistic ESG

strategy.

Prior to Oxford, she was a Director at PLP Architecture and Founding Director of PLP Labs. As

an architect and urbanist, she-led team to deliver highly sustainable and innovative commercial,

life-science, residential, retail and mixed-use projects across the UK, Europe, the Middle East

and Asia. At PLP Labs, she explored new ideas for future cities, with a focus on environmental

and social sustainability.

She is a Global Governing Trustee of the Urban Land Institute and sits on the Cambridge

University Land Economy board.

She received her MSc in Urban Policy from the London School of Economics, a Masters in

Territorial and Urban Strategies from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences-Po),

and both a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Social Sciences from the American

University of Beirut, Lebanon.

As Head of Environmental Sustainability, Matt leads the environmental performance of British Land's standing portfolio and development pipeline, responsible for implementing our pathway to net zero carbon by 2030 and wider environmental sustainability agenda. Matt works across the business to ensure our assets are designed, built and operated to the highest environmental standards. Matt led British Land to a 55% reduction in its operational energy intensity achieved in 2019. He has held various roles across the business, including establishing our approach to wellbeing and most recently developing and implementing our approach to smart buildings and digital placemaking. Recent development projects include the delivery of British Land's first net zero development at 100 Liverpool Street and leading sustainability at Canada Water - a 53 acre mixed use regeneration project.

Prior to joining British Land, Matt held various sustainability consulting and banking roles. Matt has a Master's degree from Forum for the Future.

Richard is a trusted strategic advisor who has helped industry and government leaders develop and implement cost-effective, performance-based sustainability solutions. He has led sustainability committees and initiatives for WorldGBC, UKGBC, REVO and the BCO, among others. He is regarded as an industry thought leader who is helping to accelerate the next generation of net zero carbon and healthy buildings.

Abhishek (Abhi) Parmar is the UK sustainability manager of international workspace provider HB Reavis. His background in architecture and passion for sustainability led him to become an expert in thermal modelling and passive design analysis. Abhi has over 7 years of experience in the sustainability sector, working on large scale developments such as Kings Cross Central and Wood Wharf as the lead sustainability engineer. During this time, he delivered more than five BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ projects in London and project managed large scale developments specialising in bridging the gap between sustainability and building services.

Jonathan is an industry recognised energy solicitor specialising in renewables and low carbon energy transactions. He is Head of the Energy team at Howard Kennedy and leads the firm's ESG group. Jonathan advises utilities, project developers, large industrial consumers, property developers, funders, sponsors and energy services companies (ESCOs) on energy-related transactions both in the UK and internationally. He works with clients across all technologies including energy storage, offshore and onshore wind, solar photovoltaics, combined heat and power, district heating and cooling, electric vehicles, geothermal, tidal, as well as, traditional power generation.

Emma is the founding director of Development Company The Vesta Group, which works alongside local authorities, land owners and Pension Funds. She is a chartered surveyor with extensive development experience in design, planning, procurement, viability, construction and legal governance. Prior to Vesta she was perviously Director of Residential Development for Westfield, Head of Pre Construction Development at Berkeley Homes (NE London Ltd) and has held roles at Grosvenor, Sellar and Henry Boot.

André joined Argent in 1998. He became a Director in 2004 and a Partner in 2012. He is also a Partner of Related Argent. André is jointly-leading Related Argent’s development of Brent Cross Town. His focus is on land assembly, business planning, finance, infrastructure and environmental sustainability.

André is a director of Metropolitan King’s Cross Limited, the energy service company at King’s Cross. He is a member of the British Council for Offices, sits on the British Property Federation Construction Committee and the Association of Consultancy and Engineering Steering Group.

Clare Masters is Quintain’s Head of Sustainability, leading the company’s corporate ESG strategy. She is responsible for creating zero carbon solutions, enhancing biodiversity and nature, improving social value and community connectivity, and working with our stakeholders and partners on creating sustainable developments and neighbourhoods that stand the test of time.

Clare is a sustainability and environmental management professional with 20 years in the construction and property management industry. She has delivered corporate and project-based sustainability strategies and business solutions on new-build civil engineering, tunnelling, commercial office and residential projects in the UK and Ireland as well as facilities management and retrofit works. Projects include Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 and the London 2012 Stadium for the Olympic Games.

She holds a diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control from the Institute of Acoustics, a BSc in Environmental Chemistry from the University of East Anglia and is a member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment.

Quintain Limited is one of the UK and Ireland’s leading vertically integrated developers and is the owner and operator of the world-renowned mixed use Wembley Park estate. Nick has over 25 years of professional experience in environmental management in both the private and public sectors. Nick joined Tide Construction and Vision Modular Systems to lead the ESG Team and build upon the company’s track record in delivering innovative solutions to provide smarter and greener construction. Prior to joining Tide and Vision, Nick was sustainability director at BNP Paribas Real Estate and previously held senior sustainability management positions at the University of Warwick and at WSP Environment and Energy. Nick’s expertise spans sustainability policy development, environmental risk assessment, site and property enhancement, and carbon management across the property and construction sectors.

David is a construction partner in international law firm Charles Russell Speechlys. He is qualified as both a solicitor and a barrister, and joined legacy firm Charles Russell in 2005 to establish, lead and develop its construction group which he did until 2017. He is now the firm’s co-lead for the construction and infrastructure sectors. He also has a large following on social media, blogging regularly on construction law developments and digital disruption in the construction sector. He is a co-author of Charles Russell Speechlys’ report "The New Real - unlocking gains through smart buildings" and editor of "Partnering & Collaborative Working" (published by Informa Law / Routledge).

David specialises in both UK & international construction law, both contentious and non-contentious. He acts for governments, developers, institutions, contractors, sub-contractors, funders, designers and construction consultants. In his international work, David is particularly focussed on the middle east region, and is currently advising a government client on one of the largest infrastructure projects in the region. He also delivers training on FIDIC and IChemE contracts throughout the MENA region, including in Bahrain, UAE, Syria and Oman.

Chambers 2020 lists him as a Band 1 "Leader in his Field" and Legal 500 described him as "the kind of litigator you want on your side – good with the law, a fantastic thinker and able to engage in commercial bargaining with the other side".

Nivene is Head of Communities at EcoWorld London – a major UK developer with around 6,000 new homes of all tenures in the pipeline and a particular focus on leaving a positive legacy for the communities in which it builds.

From the very initial stages of every project, Nivene embeds EcoWorld London in the local community, consulting with them to find out what changes would make the most difference to their lives. This consultation-led approach meant that in a recent vote on its Aberfeldy Village scheme – a 20-year-long regeneration in East London– 93% of locals said they supported the regeneration.

Nivene has previously worked in social housing and the third sector and has more than 25 years’ experience delivering community engagement, social value and wellbeing programmes.

May is Head of Sustainability and Stakeholder Engagement.

May works across the Trilogy portfolio ensuring that ESG is embedded in everything we do, from on-the-ground in our assets to the Trilogy corporate strategy. She also brings 25 years’ experience of stakeholder engagement and partnership building in complex projects. As such she works closely with the teams in each asset – making sure we build ownership and support for our projects and deliver the Trilogy vision of taking unloved buildings and transforming them into creative, inspiring, and impactful places.

May has a First-Class Degree in Economics, Social Policy and primary and qualitative research. She is a government appointed High Street Task Force Expert and a Design Council, Built Environment Expert.

Debbie is an urbanist with 20+ years’ professional experience, working with and connecting businesses,

government and people to unlock better city-making at all scales.

She joined the developer and investor Fabrix in February 2022 and leads on the company’s contribution to

enhancing urban environments and strengthening its position as London’s most progressive developer. Prior to

Fabrix, she was part of the team that launched New London Architecture, later becoming their first director in

2010 and managing director in 2019.

Debbie is passionate about shaping better cities for all and tackling the lack of diversity across the industry, as well

as the significant decline of public trust in development. She previously sat on the Mayor’s Fund’s Built

Environment Steering Group – focussed on making the industry more inclusive to young Londoners from low socio-

economic backgrounds – and spearheaded NLA’s Inspiring Women and Diverse Leaders programmes. She is now

one of Mentoring Circle’s 2022 cohort of mentors, supporting younger women in the industry.

She has been heavily involved in the London Festival of Architecture since its inception in 2004 – the annual public

celebration of the city which aims to democratise the conversation about architecture and bring it to the widest

possible audience.

Giovanna brings over 15 years’ experience working in business development and sustainability to IWBI. Her career started with advising FTSE 500 companies on CSR strategies and reporting before most recently becoming Global Business Development Director of her own consultancy supporting clients in leading market penetration, incorporating ESG solutions, and driving business growth. Giovanna has an extensive understanding of industry and reporting requirements, having worked closely with organizations around the world to map strategic objectives to leading frameworks including GRI, SASB, CDP and the UN SDGs. In 2020, Giovanna’s leadership was recognized when she was named one of the 10 Most Influential Women in Tech.

In her spare time, Giovanna serves as a volunteer Strategic Senior Advisor for ConnectAID, a humanitarian organization created to support the UN SDGs. Giovanna makes time for health and well-being by hiking with her husband and trying new foods with her son. She lives by the motto, ‘live purposefully and deliver impact’.

David specialises in commercial construction law; advising on, drafting and negotiating construction contracts, including building contracts, consultant appointments, agreements for lease, development agreements and asset protection agreements. He has considerable experience in all major industry standard forms (including JCT, NEC and FIDIC) as well as bespoke contracts, working for a range of clients from developers and funders to consultants and contractors.

David works across a number of sectors, principally within the residential, retail, industrial and office markets and the hotel and leisure sector. David has recently been heavily involved in Trowers & Hamlins' thought leadership initiatives investigating modern methods of construction (MMC), including modular and offsite procurement and has co-authored the firm's publications in this area, as well as sitting on various industry working groups examining the use and wider adoption of MMC.

Shuen is Head of ESG, Real Assets at Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) and is responsible for the sustainability and responsible investment strategy and integration across the real assets portfolio covering real estate equity, infrastructure equity and private credit. Shuen has been working for over a decade in the intersection of sustainable finance, climate change and impact investing, following a successful career in asset management and capital markets.

She was previously co-founder of a purpose driven ESG advisory firm that helped institutional investors build the case for sustainable investments and the transition to a low carbon economy. Prior to that, she established a climate investment firm focused on nature-based solutions.

Finn Carew is the Managing Director of Investments at Native Land. Finn overseas Native Land’s relationships with its Asian based co-investors and debt providers as well as the acquisition of new investment and development projects in London. Finn has over 14 years of international property development and construction experience and previously worked for the Jardine Matheson Group in various locations around Asia.

John is Commercial Director for the Commercial Real Estate team at Aldermore. He is responsible for developing new propositions and enhancing the customer journey to meet growing demand. John has 30 years’ experience in the industry having previously worked in a number of national roles at Bank of Scotland, CYBG and NAB.

Jacob founded General Projects in 2016, a real estate developer and operator that creates experiential, innovative and dynamic buildings, designed around the needs of the new economy. Over his career he has the led the acquisition and development of over £1.5bn of real estate spanning over 2 million sq ft of mixed-use projects, winning a number of notable industry awards in the process. With a passion for architecture and design, Jacob has overseen the reinvention of the iconic Grade II listed One Poultry, the award-winning development of Alphabeta, and the creation of Expressway, an SME workspace and industrial complex.

Aurélien is a partner at FORE Partnership, a purpose-driven real estate private investment firm that believes in driving social and environmental innovation in the built environment. FORE is a certified B Corporation and has committed to achieve zero carbon by 2025. Aurélien is responsible for real estate investment activity at FORE, including acquisitions, business plan execution, financings, and dispositions. He has experience across a broad array of asset types and geographies. Before joining FORE, Aurélien was an Assistant VP at Pramerica, and prior to that, had international experience in construction and asset management at Bouygues and Icade.

Chris joined tp bennett in 2018 to head up our ambitious sustainability function: To support colleagues, clients and our sector in achieving a sustainable, healthy and equitable built environment, whilst optimising our own footprint and processes as a company. Chris’ role sits across our architecture, master planning, interior design and workplace consultancy functions.

Managing tp bennett’s dedicated Sustainability Team and twenty-strong Sustainability Focus Group, he has implemented our unique Net Zero Carbon research and aligned tp bennett with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the RIBA 2030 Climate Challenge as part of a ten-year plan. He also has a place on our Operations Board and takes an active part in our Wellbeing Group.

As well as sharing his technical built environment experience, Chris’ early career was as a sustainability consultant, and thus he particularly enjoys helping clients devise and install their own sustainability strategies, and then producing designs which reflect and amplify these. Chris strongly considers that diverse and equitable workplaces and communities hold the key to tackling key issues such as climate change and land degradation.

Chris’ approach to sustainable and healthy architecture targets high-performing building fabric, passive ventilation, maximised on-site renewables and biodiversity gains, whilst using interior design principles to hardwire out poor practices and to influence sustainable and healthy behaviours. However, Chris’ main passion is the provenance of the materials that we specify, and that our clients and communities use - and ensuring that these are environmentally and socially responsible. In this way, Chris works closely with our supply chains and designers to achieve this and believes that clear communications on materiality helps create a sustainable culture.

A sustainability expert specialising in embodied carbon, Ankit is at the forefront of delivering strategic sustainability solutions for the built environment.

Working extensively with developers, contractors, research groups and Universities, Ankit has developed energy, whole-life carbon and sustainability strategies, and delivered low-carbon and circular economy advice for a diverse range of schemes, sectors and organisations.

His extensive experience incorporates specialist research for the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) programme, British Institute of Facilities Management, Department of Energy and Climate Change’s Smart Meters initiative, and he was also heavily involved with the development of the ESG benchmarking index for facilities management organisations in the UK.

Ankit’s exceptional academic background includes a PhD from the University of Reading which focused on the development of Corporate Social Responsibility strategies in large UK construction firms. In addition, he has published and co-authored several peer-reviewed papers and industry reports on sustainability in the built environment. Ankit is also a Programme Leader at University of Cambridge’s Judge Business School, where he delivers the executive programme on ‘Circular Economy and Sustainability Strategies’ to a huge range of leading international businesses and organisations.

He has more than 35 years’ experience in the construction industry, including senior management roles for BAM across the South East and Midlands.

Verity is a director at Cavendish Advocacy, a leading public affairs and corporate reputation management consultancy. A built environment specialist, she leads Cavendish’s PR team and has 20 years’ experience of developing and delivering integrated strategic and creative communications campaigns.

Simon Joe leads the Engineering & Sustainability team in the UK, focussed on circular and regenerative design through cradle-to-cradle engineering and low energy concepts. His expertise covers Circular Economy and Urban Mining, Integrated Green Building Concepts, MEP and Zero Carbon Design. Having worked on Commercial, Arts & Culture and Humanitarian Engineering projects his focus is on how buildings work for people and how they impact the wider environmental, societal and economic systems they are a part of.

Juliette is a real estate industry leader with 20 years’ experience working internationally. She has managed portfolios of millions of sq ft in development and asset management and latterly focussed her career on ESG strategies in the built environment. She led pathways to net zero and offset for a UK based REIT, British Land and is now a leader in Gensler's Global Climate action and Sustainability Practice Area working with clients all over the globe to reduce their carbon impact, and increase their human and biodiversity outcomes.
