As Head of Commercial Real Estate, Charlie has responsibility for driving the strategy behind how NatWest supports customers in the UK Real Estate sector across a broad range of banking needs from debt structuring and facilitating access to debt capital markets through to provision of clearing services. The business provides c.£20bn in funding to customers, from SMEs through to the largest real estate operators in the UK. The strategy includes a strong focus on sustainability with a primary goal of supporting real estate customers of all sizes to respond to the climate challenge and transition to a low carbon economy.

Sarah Cullen is a real estate finance lawyer based in London. She has over 15 years of experience in the sector. She specialises in domestic and cross border senior and mezzanine debt financings, commercial and residential acquisition, investment and development financings, hotel financings, loan portfolio sales and real estate distressed debt restructuring.

Sarah acts for borrowers and lenders and clients include RBS, HSBC, ICBC, Crest Nicholson, Residential Land, Ivanhoé Cambridge, Picton Capital and Sirius Real Estate.

Richard Fell serves as the Head of European Logistics Capital Markets at TCC. Based in London, he is responsible for identifying, structuring and securing debt and equity capital to support the joint-venture activity of TCC’s logistics development business across Europe.

Prior to TCC, Fell was vice president for investments at Clarion Partners Europe. He has also worked in private equity roles for Brydell Partners, Curzon Advisers, and Tristan Capital Partners.

Issie Armstrong is Managing Director at Aboria Capital, a vertically integrated real estate investment management firm focused on the European Living sector. She leads investor engagement, capital formation and the development of investment solutions across institutional and private wealth channels. Issie brings over 17 years of investment management experience spanning product strategy and development, and investor relations, with previous roles at DWS Group, Aviva Investors, and LaSalle Investment Management, where she helped deliver pioneering strategies, including the first UK PRS fund. In 2025, she was recognised as a Future Female Leader by Bisnow.

Gavin Quigley MRICS, RICS Registered Valuer has over 11 years’ experience in the property industry and has built up an extensive knowledge of the various markets within the Republic of Ireland and United Kingdom. Gavin is a RICS Registered Valuer and has gained good valuation experience valuing commercial and residential properties as well as development land. Gavin has been involved in a number of portfolio valuations for banks & other financial institutions. Gavin has represented clients in rent review, lease renewal & commercial property rating cases in the office, retail and industrial sectors. While working in the UK, Gavin has undertaken RICS Red Book valuations on behalf of clients for assets in the retail sector, specialising in Out-of-Town Retail Parks and Foodstores, giving his opinion of Market Rent and Market Value. Gavin has carried out monthly, quarterly, and bi-annually portfolio valuations on behalf of REITs and Investment Funds. Gavin completed a L4 Data Analytics Fellowship programme with Multiverse in September 2022. Gavin is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and is a RICS Registered Valuer. Gavin has completed training courses in both Argus Enterprise and Argus Developer and uses Argus Enterprise and Excel on a daily.

James is a partner in Shoosmiths’ Banking & Finance team, specialising in real estate and hotel finance across the UK and internationally. With over 20 years’ experience, he advises lenders and borrowers on a wide range of real estate assets, including senior debt, mezzanine debt, and preferred equity transactions. James acts for a diverse client base, including domestic and international banks, debt funds, insurers, family offices, and major property and hotel groups. He is highly regarded for his work on complex transactions and strategic projects, particularly within the leisure and hospitality sector.

Peter is responsible for providing institutional investors bespoke separate account strategies, joint venture and club investment opportunities and leads the UK commercial investment and asset management teams. He joined the business in 2010 and was previously a co-fund manager within the long lease division, investing across the UK and Europe in all sectors. Prior to this, Peter held responsibilities for the management of direct and indirect real estate portfolios in the UK and Europe, in addition to managing large joint ventures on behalf of a £10bn separate account mandate. Before joining M&G Real Estate, he worked for DTZ Investment Management and went on to join their Corporate Finance team.

Peter graduated from the University of Liverpool with a first class BA(Hons) degree in Economic and Social History and also gained an MSc in International Real Estate from the University of Reading. Peter is a qualified Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) and holds the Certificate in Corporate Finance (ACSI) from the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Melville assists UK and European investment fund managers, real estate managers, developers and investors with project management and governance utilising unrivalled knowledge of unlisted real estate funds and over 25 years’ experience as a partner with leading London law firms.

He is recognised for his leadership role in the unlisted UK and European real estate funds industry. Melville is the key architect and lead advocate of the Reserved Investor Fund.

Hira is the National Head of Real Estate & Construction at BDO LLP and leads the firm’s services to the sector.

He has specialised in real estate taxation for many years and currently advises a wide range of organisations in relation to their global property interests. His current roster of clients includes Real Estate Funds, REITs, Family Offices, Financial Institutions and Sovereign Wealth Funds. A particular specialism for Hira is UK and overseas collective investment schemes invested in real estate and real estate debt.
