Partner & Sales Development Manager

John Lewis & Partners

Joined the John Lewis Partnership in 2008 and have held a mix of Branch leadership and commercial leadership roles. I lead the business development for John Lewis for Business with a particular focus on working to add value to property professionals across new residential space, build to rent and education/office customers. We can support with furnishing, technology and gifts/incentives. Previously I worked on a number of new shop openings and also new operating models for both Waitrose and John Lewis so have spent quite a bit of my career considering how location and specification of physical space is important for determining the commercial success of a building.

Summary

The Build-To-Rent (BTR) sector has grown massively over recent years, and it has been one of THE hot topics within the industry. According to the BPF's quarterly BTR report, there are 131,855 BTR units completed or planned in the U.K., indicating a 30% growth over the past 12 months. Growing investor appetite, increasing renter demand and climbing government support are allowing the sector to become a mainstream asset class in the UK. While the sector is experiencing rapid changes and new entrants are joining the market place, now is the time to learn how you can use your expertise to maximize your slice of the pie. Please join Bisnow and top BTR executives from across the globe for Bisnow's 2nd edition of our Build To Rent Annual Conference (BTRAC) on 5 June in Wembley! Wembley Park is the largest single-site BTR scheme in the U.K. It has completed more units and undergone rapid changes since we hosted the event last May, and we can't wait to welcome you to Wembley again and provide an exclusive sneak peak behind the scene!  BTRAC won't be anything like your average conference. The event will go beyond the realms of the U.K. BTR sector, featuring global experts. We will be covering a breadth of topics, from customer service and property management to BTR financing and planning, all the way to tech and hiring within the sector. To take it one step further, we'll rent out part of Boxpark and prepare inspiring Ted-style talks for you live at Boxpark. This will be a one of a kind, can't-miss Bisnow event. Think puppies, flashing lights, smoke machines, and hot tubs. We hope to have you with us for a memorable event on 5 June.
