Mr. Klotz is nationally recognized as a highly successful real estate entrepreneur. While only in high school, Mr. Klotz started an investment real estate business purchasing single family homes. He then ventured into the contracted construction-related services, with the company experiencing exponential growth, becoming the third largest such company in Jacksonville, Florida. He employed more than 125 employees servicing the multifamily industry, becoming one of the “fastest growing businesses of 2000”, managing repair and renovation contracts for the apartment industry. Thriving real estate brokerage, financing, property management and investment businesses were simultaneously launched with an equally successful track record. Michael Balanky is a third-generation Jacksonville native with strong ties to the area’s business, governmental and non-profit communities. Mr. Balanky has a strong track record in land development, land acquisition, entitlements, construction, and environmental remediation. He has shaped Chase into a company that succeeds by carefully selecting only premier development locations. In addition to his real estate activities, Michael serves on the board of directors of several of Jacksonville’s most notable companies and is very active in the non-profit sector. He is also a founding member of the Jacksonville Chapter of the Urban Land Institute.

Peter is Vice President – New Investments of Pattillo Industrial Real Estate and is responsible for new investments including acquisitions, speculative developments and build-to-suit transactions. Peter has coordinated the development and leasing of more than 10,000,000 SF of Pattillo projects over the past 25 years including projects with BMW, Volvo Truck Parts, Falken Tire, GE Aviation, Boeing, Owens & Minor, and WW Grainger.

Peter has coordinated the acquisition, entitlement and permitting of multiple industrial parks encompassing hundreds of acres over the past two decades. Prior to Joining Pattillo in 1992, Peter was with Cushman & Wakefield and Rubloff, Inc. Peter has served twice as President of NAIOP of Northeast Florida.

Peter graduated from the University of Georgia where he played football for legendary coach, Vince Dooley. In 1985 Peter was Captain of the team and recognized as a consensus First Team All-American. In 2015, Peter was inducted in to the University of Georgia Circle of Honor.

Peter lives in Jacksonville Florida with his wife of 30+ years and is a father of four adult children.

Michael Vassilaros

As Chief Investment Officer, Michael Vassilaros leads all investment-related activities by bringing the benefit of many years of experience in real estate finance and business development for major property management firms.

Some of Michael’s top responsibilities include oversees the sourcing, negotiation and closing of new acquisition and development opportunities, as well as capital markets and debt structures, for Key International. As well, he supervises members of the acquisitions team, and participates in due diligence and feasibility initiatives at the commencement of all potential projects.

In addition to his prior career expertise working as a loan asset manager, head of business development, and CIO for debt investments, Michael also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Duke University.

An entrepreneur and business owner for over 27 years, Ryan Holmes serves as CEO of RISE which includes development, management, and construction divisions. In this role, he is responsible for spearheading the company’s growth and providing strategic, executive and developmental oversight. Under his leadership, RISE has grown and diversified its product and service offerings. Originally focused on for-rent product development, RISE is now an all-inclusive developer, manager, and builder of numerous product types in a variety of markets including active adult living. Additionally, he offers valuable oversight of project-specific financing and project management. He seeks out and identifies new project opportunities while working to enhance client relationships. Holmes also works closely with divisional leaders, offering insight and guidance on strategic planning and business development initiatives.

Laura Gonzales

Laura has over twenty-five years of expertise in Commercial Real Estate Lending and Capital Markets, covering diverse lending categories including non-profits, for-profit businesses, and investment loans such as acquisition, construction, bridge, renovation, tax credits and stabilized loans.

Previously, Laura served as a Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Manager/Lender/CRA Officer for two decades, primarily at Compass Bank/BBVA Compass and Bank of America. Transitioning to Franklin Street in December 2019, she assumed roles including Director of Capital Markets and later Regional Managing Director of the Jacksonville full-service brokerage team. In January 2023, Laura led the opening of the Jacksonville office for Matthews Real Estate Investment Services, expanding the team and focusing on debt and equity origination. In October 2023, she founded Ahead Consulting Solutions, LLC, operating as Ahead CRE, to solely concentrate on debt and equity origination.

Leveraging her extensive lending and brokerage background, Laura is committed to addressing clients' financing needs in commercial real estate. She holds a bachelor's degree in finance and management from Florida State University and earned her M.B.A. from the University of North Florida. Actively engaged in the industry, Laura is a member of ULI, CREW, ICSC, and NAIOP.

Laura's contributions have been recognized with awards including ULI "Member of the Year" (2016), CREW National "Member to Member Award" (2019), CRE Connect "Women in Real Estate" National Winner (2020), and Jacksonville Business Journal's "Women of Influence" (2021). She was recognized by the Connect CRE (2022) "Top Mortgage Broker & Lender Award" for the Franklin Street Capital Advisory team and the "Florida-Gulf Coast Connect CRE’s (2023) Women in Real Estate Award." Laura is involved in Leadership Jacksonville, PACE Center for Girls and serves on the City of Jacksonville (COJ) Resiliency Committee. She resides in Saint Johns and is a proud mother of two daughters.
