Mr. Sowden has over 37 years of experience in commercial real estate with a strong background in real estate brokerage and mortgage banking, acquisition, development, and asset management. He has been active in sales of more than 20 million square feet of commercial real estate and over 50,000 apartment units throughout the United States.

Mr. Sowden has also been involved in the financing of over $8 Billion in commercial real estate loans. He has brokered the sale of over $10 billion in commercial real estate transactions on behalf of some of the largest institutional owners in the United States. Mr. Sowden has acquired, developed, and renovated over 5 billion in commercial real estate to include retail, office, multi-family, and hospitality throughout the Southwestern and the Southeastern United States.

Mr. Sowden is responsible for the overall direction of RREAF Holdings and RREAF’s subsidiary companies including strategic planning for all growth areas of the Company to include but not be limited to, its development, acquisitions, property, and asset management programs as well as the development and implementation of commercial real estate funds.

Mr. Sowden graduated in 1985 with a degree in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Sowden served more than 10 years on The Chancellor’s Council Executive Committee at The University of Texas at Austin. Public/Private LLC, Mr. Galbreath manages the development of hotels,

convention and conference centers, entertainment and mixed-use properties.

Joining Garfield in 2016, he brought 22 years as a leader in the global hospitality

sector for RTKL Associates in the Americas. In addition to the design of hotels and

resorts, his experience has centered around hospitality and gaming components

of large-scale, mixed-use developments combining retail, entertainment, sports,

residential, office, hotel, and other uses known for their commercial success and

lasting sense of place.

Jamail Virani graduated from Cox School of Business with a BBA in Finance and a BA in Economics from Southern Methodist University. After college, Jamail pursued a career in Investment Banking and moved to NYC where he worked at various positions at Goldman Sachs.

Jamail went on to expand the investment banking footprint for the company in Salt Lake City. While at Goldman Sachs, Jamail did over $4.5B in transactional volume with a focus on equity & debt offerings, M&A, and IPO’s. Since then, Mr. Virani has acted as a manager for multiple commercial real estate funds in Houston, Texas.

Jamail currently is a partner at LXG and is a member of the firm’s Executive, Investment, Business Development and Hospitality committees and focuses on asset acquisition & management, investment & financial management, investor relations & reporting, site selection and qualification and overall business strategy.

Lance LaCour is Director of Economic Development for the County of Galveston. He was previously Director of Economic Development for the City of Granbury, Texas and prior to that CEO of the Katy Area Economic Development Council, Inc. (EDC) for 16 years, and Baldwin County Economic Development Alliance on the Alabama Gulf Coast for 10 years. During his tenure, several of these organizations received recognition and awards from TEDC, SEDC, Site Selection Magazine. Since 1991, he has assisted in the creation of over 30,000 jobs and $3 billion in capital investment. LaCour is a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) and earned an M.S. in Economic Development and B.A. in Political Science from the University of Southern Mississippi. He has two grown children, is an avid saltwater angler, is a former award-winning triathlete and national, regional and state racquetball champion.

Rodger Rees, Galveston Wharves Port Director and CEO, oversees the fourth busiest U.S.

cruise port, located on one of the nation’s top 40 cargo waterways. This self-sustaining city

entity generates more than 14,000 jobs and has an estimated annual state economic impact of

$2.1 billion.

Since Rees took the helm in January 2018, the Port of Galveston has increased revenues 131

percent by following a 20-Year Strategic Master Plan adopted in 2019. Using both debt and

public-private partnerships, the port has built two new cruise terminals. A $125 million cruise

terminal, in partnership with Royal Caribbean International, opened in 2022. The port completed

its fourth cruise terminal at a cost of $156 million in November 2025 to service MSC Cruises and

Norwegian Cruise Lines.

In 2023 the port was awarded $42.3 million in state grants, the largest grant amount in the port’s

history, to fund critical cargo and transportation projects. The port used cash reserves

generated from the cruise business and the grant proceeds to fund a $106 million cargo

infrastructure improvement project. The project began in 2024 and will be completed this year.

In 2023 and 2024, Rees successfully guided the port through over $210 million in municipal

bond financings.

The Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce honored Rees as its 2022 Galvestonian of the

Year for positively contributing to the betterment of the region’s business community. In 2023,

the Houston Business Journal named Rees one of the most admired CEOs in the Houston

metroplex. Rees has served two terms on the board of directors of the Texas Department of

Transportation Port Authority Advisory Committee and was elected vice chairman of the Texas

Ports Association as representative for the Upper Texas Region.

Rees previously served five years as deputy executive director and chief financial officer for Port

Canaveral, the world’s second busiest cruise port.

Rees spent his early years in Tennessee and is a graduate of East Tennessee State University

with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. In addition, he is a Certified Public

Accountant, licensed in the state of Georgia. He has more than 25 years of executive

management experience in both private and public entities. Rodger and his wife, Luci, have two

sons. The oldest son is currently attending Texas A&M University at College Station. His

younger son will be a senior at Ball High School in Galveston in the fall.

Mr. Schwab has over 35 years of experience in architectural practice and commercial real estate development. Prior to joining RREAF Holdings, Carl served as the Vice President of Development at Beechwood Company. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Texas and became a registered architect in 1985. Mayes Middleton is President of Middleton Oil Company, an independent oil and gas company. He also runs ranching, cattle, and farming operations. Mayes and his wife, Macy, have four children: Connor, Christian, Matthew, and Martha Ann. Mayes and Macy support numerous local community organizations and faith-based charities throughout the Galveston-Houston region.

Prior to serving in the Texas Senate, Mayes served two terms in the Texas House of Representatives, representing Chambers and Galveston Counties. During his last term in the Texas House, Mayes served as Chairman of the Texas House Freedom Caucus.

Reid Wilson is recognized as southeast Texas' preeminent
