Layne is a Project Director within Major Capital Projects of MD Anderson’s department of Facilities

Planning, Design & Construction. Layne leads a portfolio of projects serving the institution’s HAL

(Houston Area Locations) initiative, focused on the access and delivery of cancer care within our

surrounding communities.

Layne has been an MD Anderson employee for over 15 years. His prior experience includes

architectural design and construction administration of K-12 education, multi-family mid-rise and

commercial retail facilities.

Layne has a Bachelor’s of Environmental Design from Texas A&M University and is OSHA 10

certified.

An architectural graduate of the University of Southern California, Jill spent the majority of her

career in healthcare facility planning, the final 22 years at Texas Children’s Hospital guiding the

development of over $2B of work and adding over 5M square feet. Jill is a licensed architect in

Texas and California and holds a certificate from the National Council of Architectural

Registration Boards (NCARB).

Justin serves as Executive Managing Director of Transwestern’s Healthcare & Life Sciences Advisory Services Group and leads the Houston Healthcare & Life Sciences Brokerage Team. With 16 dedicated professionals, the Team leases over 8 million square feet of clinical & lab space, more than any other local firm, and has transacted over 2,000 lease and building sales in the last 5 years. The team specializes in agency leasing, tenant representation, investment services and strategic account management.

Justin has been with Transwestern since 2007 and specializes in providing real estate solutions within this niche space to investors, developers, end users and VC firms. His expertise in leasing, investment services, development, construction and asset management, allows him to apply a holistic lens to any real estate opportunity, resulting in optimal outcomes for Transwestern clients

Preston joined McCarthy Building Companies in 2013 and is currently Vice President for the Houston Division of McCarthy Building Companies. Leveraging his expertise, Preston focuses on maintaining and growing McCarthy’s healthcare, research and higher education presence in the Houston area as well as other key markets. Preston is a member of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Houston, AGC Construction Futures Committee, American Society of Healthcare Engineers, American Hospital Association, has served on the AGC Construction Leadership Council Board, and is currently serving as a board member on the Champions for Children Texas Children’s Cancer Center Board. Furthermore, his passion for the community has led to his involvement with the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, Texas Children’s Hospital and the American Heart Association. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Science from Texas A&M University. In addition, Preston is a designated Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) and holds a Healthcare Construction Certificate.

Dr. Bharath Thankavel knows Texas health care.

A native Texan, Dr. Thankavel is Medical Director of value-based care at Blue Cross and Blue

Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) where he works in tandem with BCBSTX’s sales and account

management, network, strategy, and community relations teams across the state. His role helps

further incorporate physician insights into the creation of the company’s new health care delivery

models, such as accountable care organizations.

He received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Baylor University, followed by a medical

degree from Saint George’s University and pediatric residency at the University of South

Florida. As an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Texas

Southwestern and a pediatric hospitalist at Children’s Health in Dallas for 10 years, Dr.

Thankavel has gained a wide variety of clinical experience.

Early in his career, Dr. Thankavel became increasingly involved in hospital throughput and

quality initiatives. These opportunities then evolved into a passion for analyzing the systems and

incentives around providing valuable, quality care focused on outcomes.

Dr. Thankavel was the Medical Director of the Home Care program at the Children’s Health

prior to joining BCBSTX, where he oversaw three departments that targeted care for

approximately 1,200 patients. This experience helped him better understand the need to examine

market utilization and population health.

When he’s not wearing his white coat, Dr. Thankavel models the way for a healthy lifestyle by

coaching his son’s little league team and playing in a basketball league of his own. His love for

travel has led him to several countries across the world, and he makes a conscious effort to

expose his son to the same cultural opportunities.

Matt's journey is a testament to the power of mentorship and dedication. Born and raised in

Pasadena, Texas, he graduated from Deer Park High School in 1997. His youth was marked by

active participation in Scouting, earning his Eagle Scout rank at just 15, and contributing as a

staffer in various summer and winter camps. Additionally, he was a three-year letterman on the

DPHS track team.

Post high school, Matt enlisted in the US Navy, where he served for six years. During his service, he

was forward deployed to the Persian Gulf in 2003 and 2005 onboard USS Nimitz (CVN-68),

supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. By the end of his service,

Matt had achieved the rank of Machinist Mate 1st Class, Nuclear Designation, Surface Warfare

Specialist, MMN1 (SW), and was honorably discharged.

In 2007, Matt began his career in the HVAC industry by changing air filters for a small mechanical

contracting firm. His hard work and dedication saw him progress from fieldwork to office roles,

learning project estimation along the way. Eventually, he joined Way Engineering and within a year,

he was promoted to Vice President. In his current role, Matt oversees all Business Development

and Marketing activities. He also mentors young Project and Assistant Project Managers and

contributes to preconstruction efforts by sharing his extensive operational experience.

Matt attributes his success to the mentors who guided him and is committed to mentoring others

in turn. He believes in the impact of mentorship and strives to support and develop those around

him.

Matt is married to Natalie, whom he met during his Navy days, and they have been married since

2008. They have two sons, ages 12 and 9, who are active in scouts and gymnastics. The family

enjoys traveling, watching movies, and cherishing their time together as they watch their boys grow

up.

Jason is the Founder and Managing Partner of Big Sky Medical Real Estate Funds. He has spent his career exclusively in the healthcare real estate industry and is a well-established thought leader in the medical office and senior living sectors. Jason began his career as a civil engineer designing hospitals in Nashville, Tennessee. After graduate school, he ventured into medical office development and found his niche organizing physicians into real estate partnerships. Since then, he has developed or acquired over six million square feet of healthcare real estate in 19 states valued in excess of $1.6 billion. Jason prides himself on his hands-on approach and his deep understanding of the underlying drivers of value.

Prior to starting Big Sky, Jason founded Caddis Partners, LLC in early 2008 and was its CEO, largest shareholder, and sole managing partner from its inception until May of 2020. During his tenure, Jason grew Caddis from a small boutique developer to one of the largest Healthcare Real Estate platforms in the United States with over 60 professionals spread amongst its four offices. Modern Healthcare consistently ranked Caddis one of the top ten Healthcare Real Estate developers in the United States by annual deal volume.

In 2016, Jason was voted by a panel of his peers the national Healthcare Real Estate Executive of the Year by Healthcare Real Estate Insights and was awarded Most Admired CEO for North Texas from the Dallas Business Journal in 2019. Jason serves on several boards including the Folsom Institute at SMU, Texas A&M Mays Business School Real Estate Advisory Board, and The Real Estate Council (TREC). Jason currently serves alongside his wife, Jean, as co-chair of Highland Park Education Foundation’s annual fundraising campaign (Mad for Plaid). He is the past Chairman for the Texas Business Hall of Fame and is a past President of the Dad’s Club for University Park Elementary School. Through his work with Habitat for Humanity, Jason became passionate about housing and education for those in need. He dedicates his time and financial support to affordable housing and scholarships to deserving students. Jason graduated with a BS in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University and an MBA from Southern Methodist University, where he served as president of his class, graduated with honors, and was the recipient of the Cox School of Business Outstanding Young Alumni Award. Raised in the Texas Hill Country, he enjoys ranching, fly fishing and spending time with his wife, two children, and three dogs.

Davis Griffin serves as a Principal with Trammell Crow Company with a specific focus on healthcare development in central and south Texas. She is responsible for all aspects of the development process from identifying opportunities to contract negotiation, financing and leasing, and has significant experience with healthcare and higher education development projects, including medical office buildings and student housing.

Beginning in 2006, Davis developed a healthcare focus and has partnered with such clients as the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, Princeton HealthCare System in Princeton, New Jersey, Main Line Health in suburban Philadelphia and Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. She specializes in the development of all types of healthcare properties, both as a principal investor and on a fee basis, with the goal to help clients identify and execute real estate solutions to best deliver quality care to patients. Davis has also managed leasing of medical office space to physician tenants and developed a deep understanding of the importance, intricacies and complexities of physician relationships with healthcare systems.

Prior to her healthcare focus, Davis joined TCC in 2002 as part of the Higher Education Services Group working with higher education institutions on the feasibility, financing and overall development of both academic and residential projects.

Mr. Mutchler joined Harrison Street in 2008 and serves on the firm’s Executive Committee. Among his responsibilities as Managing Director, he is responsible for sourcing new and augmenting existing Harrison Street health system relationships within the real property, operations, infrastructure, and technology segments of the US healthcare market which will serve to both enhance Harrison Street’s existing healthcare investment platform and create new business opportunities and operational enhancements for the firm.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Mutchler was co-Head of the firm’s Asset Management department overseeing the asset management of all senior housing and medical investments.

Prior to joining Harrison Street, MR. Mutchler was a Director at TIAA-CREF Global Real Estate where he was responsible for the asset management of a portfolio of institutional-grade office and industrial properties throughout the west coast. Before joining TIAA-CREF, Brian was an Underwriting Manager at KBS Realty Advisors where he was responsible for underwriting office and industrial acquisitions.

Brian received a BBA with a double-major in Real Estate & Urban Land Economics and Marketing from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

Mr. Golik has more than 17 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, with the past 12 years focused exclusively on healthcare. He has been responsible for the development and financing of acute care and inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and medical office buildings. In addition to his role at Carter Validus, Mr. Golik has led a variety of efforts in healthcare such as acquisitions, development, underwriting and investment at KDC and The Cirrus Group. To date he has completed projects in excess of $300 million. He started his career at Archon Group a subsidiary of Goldman Sachs.

Karen Mooney is the Associate Vice President of Facilities Planning, Design and Construction department at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Her team manages strategic facilities planning for the organization as well as the implementation of a multi-billion capital construction program. Karen graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Construction Management and received her MBA from UT Tyler.

Gaurav Khadse (GK) is a Registered Architect with 18 years’ experience in design and construction of healthcare facilities. Gaurav holds the position of Vice President, Facilities Planning & Development and Real Estate at Texas Children’s Hospital (TCH). In his position, he leads the facilities project management, program management and planning team responsible for expansion of strategic facilities expansion projects, capital projects and renovations at Texas Children’s. His team is currently handling projects in various stages of design and construction with project costs over a billion dollars including the expansion of Texas Children’s new campus in Austin.

Gaurav has an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and a Masters in Architecture from Texas A&M University with a specialization in Health Systems and Design. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Architecture in India. He is licensed in Texas and also a LEED accredited professional.

Dr. Lana Kay Coble CPC is an author, construction industry professional, advocate for diversity, and educator. She has dedicated her career to the advancement of construction methods, education of future and existing professionals, and promotion of diversity within the industry workforce. She has

over forty years of construction management experience, including positions as an owner’s representative, executive manager in construction companies, and a professor in a major university construction management program.

Her portfolio of construction projects includes healthcare, higher education, K-12 schools, commercial development, corporate campuses, mission critical data and energy facilities, athletic venues, zoo facilities, and major infrastructure systems. Her expertise includes the introduction of advanced technology to more efficiently engage all stakeholders in the construction process from concept to completion. Technologies and methods include implementation of software systems,

development of document management systems, complex program management,

planning/scheduling, and conflict mitigation on major high-profile construction projects. Ms. Coble’s experience as an educator, includes teaching at both the university level as well as in professional organizations and construction firms. She is currently an adjunct professor in the Construction Management Program at the University of Houston. She has published research in the American Institute of Constructors national journal. Additionally, she has authored a book on risk

mitigation utilizing planning and scheduling (Collaborative Risk Mitigation Through Planning and Scheduling). Her passion for scheduling and mitigation is based upon academic fundamentals and construction experience. Her most recent teaching endeavour was serving as the lead author and instructor of scheduling mitigation training to construction project managers and superintendents through the AGC.

Long a champion for diversity in the construction profession, Ms. Coble is an advocate for the development of women in construction and the advancement of historically underutilized businesses (HUB) through targeted affirmative action programs (City of Houston OBO, Mentor Protégé Program, and AGC Diversity Council). Dr. Coble holds a Bachelor of Arts in Construction & Design from Trinity University, a Master of Science in Architecture from Texas A&M University and a Doctoral degree in Education from the

University of Houston.

Joel brings nearly three decades of experience in project management plus design and construction management for clients in the healthcare and federal sectors, most recently serving as Healthcare Studio Leader at WHR/EYP. In his previous positions, Joel successfully managed a multitude of projects for major healthcare systems in the Northeast region and in Houston, Texas, as well as successfully pursued U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) medical facilities contracts.

Significant healthcare projects include the $875-million North Tower Expansion at Houston Methodist Hospital; design and construction renovation and expansion initiatives associated with the Memorial Hermann Healthcare System; and the Stamford Health System’s $450-million South Expansion Building in Stamford, Connecticut. Federal healthcare projects include numerous projects associated with IDIQ Design-Build MEDCOM MATOC contracts and the design and construction of a new 50,000-square-foot ($25 M) Medical/Dental clinic facility for US Navy in Manama, Bahrain.

Joel earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Louisiana State University and his NCARB Certification. He is also a fellow in the Health Facilities Institute.

Scott Sevigny has been with Shah Smith & Associates, Inc. since 1998. He brings over 26 years of experience as a professional engineer and currently serves as a client executive/senior project manager. An accomplished mechanical engineer, Scott is a Navy veteran and holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Master of Science in architectural engineering from Pennsylvania State University.

His education combined with his background in general contracting, as well as his leadership training while a U.S. Naval Aviator, has earned Scott a reputation as an expert in leading MEP portion of challenging and complex projects. Scott’s portfolio of delivered projects has a breadth which includes aviation, higher Ed, Private life science, healthcare, Science and Technology, Library, and master planning, with particular depth in vivaria, research labs, and healthcare.

Planning from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN.

Paul McCleary (Senior Vice President – Business Development) – Mr. McCleary’s career spans 30

years in marketing and business development within the commercial development, design and construction

industry, with a primary focus in healthcare since 2002. In 2015 he joined Medistar Corporation, a medical

real estate development company based in Houston, Texas and active nationwide. As Senior Vice

President – Business Development, he works with Medistar’s CEO, Monzer Hourani, on marketing,

business development and special projects. A longtime member of the American College of Healthcare

Executives (ACHE), Mr. McCleary earned a BA (1987) at the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA

(1994) at the University of St. Thomas in Houston.

Brendon F Buckley is a Healthcare systems subject matter expert focused on leveraging technology to improve the delivery of care and operational efficiency. His involvement spans throughout the project starting from the very early stages such as the planning, design & bidding through to commissioning and testing of the Healthcare systems. Brendon is also a key contributor to the JCI’s patented “Navigator” process and has successfully utilized it on numerous successful projects.

His experience in technology integration and related IT systems is extensive. Brendon is proficient in HL7, DICOM, SQL Databases, MDIL, Webservices and has worked with

numerous EMR, PACS systems including GE, Siemens, Cerner, Epic and Meditech. He

also has experience working with integration platforms including Intelligent Insites,

Connexall, Vocera, Cloverleaf, Engage, Openlink, and Mirth. Brendon also specializes

in Lean process improvement for clinical workflow.

In addition to North America, Brendon is also working with hospitals in Asia and Latin

America to digitally transform the way care is delivered.

His current responsibilities include developing offerings that help Johnson Controls’

Healthcare clients reduce costs; improve both patient care and satisfaction.

Mike is a 5th generation Houstonian with more than 17

years of construction experience. He started out in the

Maritime Industry, traveling throughout the Gulf Coast, Angola, and Venezuela. Mike

continued in Commercial Construction with a focus in local healthcare, working with

notable organizations such as Texas Children’s Hospital, Baylor College of Medicine,

Houston Methodist Hospital, the US Corps of Engineers, and UT M.D. Anderson Cancer

Center.

Mike is a Healthcare Project Executive at DPR Construction and sits on the Business

Unit Leadership Team. He and his wife have two young sons and enjoy watching the

Astros, house projects, and hanging out by the pool.

Jim Lloyd is a Shareholder in Winstead’s Real Estate Development & Investments Practice Group and a member of Winstead’s Healthcare Industry Group. For more than 13 years, clients have relied on Jim’s experience and skills concerning sophisticated commercial real estate transactions and financings. He regularly works on purchases, sales, development and financing of all types of commercial properties, including medical office, class A office, retail and multifamily projects. He also advises landlords and tenants on leases, workouts, evictions and remedies, including addressing the unique leasing concerns of life science companies. Mervyn Alphonso is Executive Vice President & Partner with Anchor Health Properties. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, he lends his acute understanding of the healthcare real estate sector across Anchor’s business platforms. With more than 20 years specializing in the healthcare real estate industry, he is involved in the firm's investments and development platforms, including leading acquisition transactions, as well as development projects and management engagements.

Offering significant knowledge of the healthcare sector, Mervyn’s depth of experience as an accomplished professional, includes acquisitions, development, financial feasibility, site selection and evaluation, and asset management.

His prior career experience includes six years as a Managing Director with NexCore Group as well as serving as a Director with Alvarez & Marsal and in addition, he spent time earlier in his career with Hammes Company.

He currently serves on Industry Advisory Board of the Virginia Tech Program in Real Estate and is also a member of the Association of Medical Facility Professionals (AMFP). Mervyn earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.

Peter S. Brodsky is an investor and business executive who, through a

majority-owned company, owns the Reimagine RedBird development

(formerly known as Southwest Center Mall and, prior to that, Red Bird

Mall). He is investing in the mall and its surrounding land to restore it to

a place of pride and quality in the community.

Prior to acquiring the mall, Peter was a founder and partner of HBC

Investments LLC, a firm focused on investing both third party capital and

the capital of its principals in growth-oriented companies. Prior to co-

founding HBC, Peter was a partner at the private equity firm of HM

Capital Partners and its predecessor, Hicks Muse, where he was

employed for over 15 years. At HM Capital, Peter focused on the media

industry and was responsible for deploying or managing over $2.6 billion of equity investments and completed

over 100 transactions.

In the civic and non-profit arenas, Peter serves on several boards. He serves as Chairman of the City of Dallas’s

Animal Advisory Commission, which advises Dallas Animal Services, the city animal shelter and control service

provider. On the Commission, Peter’s focus is addressing the stray and loose dog crisis in southern Dallas. Peter

also serves on the Boards of: KIPP Dallas-Fort Worth, a network of seven high-performing charter schools serving

over 3,000 students in grades K through 9th in southern Dallas, which he chaired from January 2011 through June

2017; and North Texas Public Broadcasting, the owner and operator of Dallas-Fort Worth’s PBS and NPR affiliates.

Mike Corey is Managing Partner for Synergis Development Partners, a full-service

development firm that focuses exclusively on healthcare projects including Smart-Sized

community hospitals, micro-hospitals, hybrid er/urgent cares, satellite emergency

departments and free-standing emergency departments. Prior to forming Synergis

Development Partners, Mike served as Executive Vice President and Chief Development

Officer at Adeptus Health, joining the company in 2012 to accelerate growth. During his

tenure at Adeptus Health, Mike assembled and led the team that developed Adeptus

Health’s innovative market analytics and planning tools and established the

infrastructure of vendors, processes, and people that resulted in Adeptus Health’s

expansion from just 13 emergency room facilities in Texas to more than 100 emergency

room facilities and 6 acute care hospitals across 4 states.

In addition to Mike’s healthcare experience, Mike has nearly twenty-five years of real

estate development experience in the retail sector. Mike has been responsible for

several hundred new store openings and has held a number of executive leadership

roles including Senior Vice President of Store Development for Hollywood/Movie

Gallery, Chief Development Officer for Eastern Mountain Sports and Vice President of

Daina is a Healthcare Business Development Senior Vice President for Project and

She began her career working in nursing homes, and hospitals as a Hospital

Supervisor and CNO for Maternal Child Health and Pediatric Services. From the

hospital, she moved into development of a national home health care and

infusion company developing offices across the nation. From this experience, she

worked closely with hospital development strategists and physicians to operate

and grow a national healthcare durable medical equipment franchise with a focus

on cancer and chronic disease.

With her many years of operations, regulations such as Medicare Part A and B,

healthcare compliance, and Joint Commission experience, she offers our clients

realistic input during strategic planning and design process for renovations and

ground up facilities. She offers many lessons learned, best practices and

compliance know-how due to her ongoing commitment to staying ahead of the

ever-changing healthcare challenges in the industry, such as regulatory

constraints and reimbursement changes.

Stephen Glazier is a hospital administrator with over 40 years of senior level administrative experience

and is currently the Vice President of Business Development and Government Relations for the

UTHealth Behavioral Sciences Campus. A Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, he

has held the position of CEO or COO in a number of hospital settings including freestanding psychiatric,

general acute care and long term acute care hospitals. He has been responsible for 3 new hospital

construction/development projects and one major hospital renovation. He has held leadership

positions in several large academic medical centers. In his various positions he has been responsible for

overseeing all of the clinical and quality programs for the hospitals he has led. In addition to oversight

of hospital operations, Mr. Glazier’s responsibilities have included the integration of private physician

practices into a hospital based multi-specialty clinic.

Mr. Glazier is the current past Chair of the Joint Committee on Access and Forensic Services and serves

as a member of the Texas Statewide Behavioral Health Coordinating Council, the Mental Health Needs

Council and the Network of Behavioral Health Professionals.

Andrew Koska is a Principal and Co-Healthcare Practice Leader for the Houston studio of

Perkins&Will. Leading the studio’s healthcare projects, Andrew draws on more than 20 years of

architectural design experience, and an approach that focuses on improving the effectiveness

of spaces to foster healing. His passion for healthcare is rooted in witnessing the connection

between space and the wellness of patients in hospitals.

Andrew has worked on a host of new design and renovation projects for key institutions within

the Houston medical community, including UT MD Anderson Cancer Center, Methodist

Hospital, UTHealth, Texas Children’s Hospital, and Memorial Hermann. He holds a Master of

Architecture from Texas A&M and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from UT at Austin; and is a

member of the American Institute of Architects, National Council of Architecture Regulatory

Boards, and the American College of Healthcare Architects. Andrew is also a LEED Accredited

Professional—a certification that came naturally from his love of the outdoors, and his belief in

the beauty of nature as a healing source.

integrated owner, developer and operator of first-rate senior housing and

care communities. The company is known for built-to- purpose

developments, best in class hospitality, and proprietary resident

programming. The Company’s $3.0 Billion real estate portfolio has capacity

of over 5,000 apartment and employs over 3,800 people across eight states

Belmont Village has been a leader in senior living in Los Angeles for two

decades. In addition to seven purpose built operating communities, plans

are underway for a second project in Westwood and a ground-up

with major academic institutions, including UCLA and USC. Mrs. Will serves

on the Boards of The Center for Longevity at UCLA Medical School and the

Davis School of Gerontology at USC.

David Keaton serves as the President of Retirement Center

Management (RCM). He provides oversight of daily

operations encompassing strategic, financial, operational and

marketing aspects for the company’s multiple properties.

Prior to joining Retirement Center Management, Mr. Keaton

served as Corporate Vice President with Greystone in Irving,

Texas. Over a career of nearly 30 years in the industry Mr.

Keaton has served in numerous operational capacities

including management consulting and operating communities

as the Executive Director. Mr. Keaton earned his Master’s

Degree in Health Services Administration from Saint Mary’s

College of California.

As the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Avanti Senior Living, Alford is passionate about empowering older adults with endless choices, state-of-the-art technology, sophisticated living and care and wellness that surpasses the highest benchmarks. Previously, she served as COO of one of the largest assisted living companies in the industry where she was responsible for 32 communities across 10 states and an annual revenues of more than $100M.

Austin Sacco serves as First Vice President and Co-Production Lead for CBRE’s National Senior

Housing Debt & Structured Finance Practice. Mr. Sacco joined the team in 2013 and specializes in

capitalizing Active Adult, Independent Living, Assisted Living, Alzheimer’s Care and Skilled

Nursing communities. Mr. Sacco, along with his business partner, Aron Will, maintains a primary

focus of sourcing best-in-class capital for acquisitions, new construction and refinances, in addition

to advising and keeping clients informed on the state of the capital markets.

Mr. Sacco’s is responsible for the origination of new business, the analysis of debt and equity

investment opportunities, valuation and investment underwriting. Over the past 13 years, Mr.

Sacco’s DSF team closed approximately $10.5+ billion in debt and equity for this specialty type

and is one of the few real estate investment advisors whose platform includes: Fannie Mae (DUS

certified lender), Freddie Mac (seller/servicer) and HUD/FHA, along with all the traditional lending

sources. CBRE National Senior Housing has been a Top 2 senior housing originator from 2010

through 2019.  In 2015 through 2019, the team originated over $6.4 billion in senior housing debt

across 285 assets nationwide.  In 2016 and 2019, CBRE was Fannie Mae’s #1 senior housing

originator in the country.  CBRE was the #1 GSE lender in the nation in 2019 with $19.5 billion in

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac originations.  In addition to permanent debt placement and

construction financing, the team has helped structure joint ventures between seasoned operators

and institutional partners and has also sourced equity for development and acquisitions on a

project specific and programmatic basis.
