Robert Fields leads all new development and project management activities for the firm. His project experience includes corporate headquarters, commercial office developments, multifamily properties, mixed-use development and hospitality projects. He is personally hands-on with all projects, commencing with due diligence and financial modeling, then continuing through design and into construction. During his career, Mr. Fields has been involved in the development of over $3 billion in real estate, including over 5 million square feet of corporate facilities. Mr. Fields received his M.B.A. from the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Environmental Design from Texas A&M University.

Trey Halberdier in Fall of 2013 launched HALBERDIER Holdings LLC and HALBERDIER Real Estate LLC. The Halberdier Real Estate enterprise’s outputs are exceptional performance, distinctive impact, resilient endurance and community connectedness.

Prior to HALBERDIER Companies, Trey co-founded BANDIER Companies / BANDIER Real Estate LLC – a full services Commercial Real Estate Investment, Development, and Brokerage/Advisory Partnership in The Woodlands TX. Trey also served critical roles at CBRE, Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, and CRESA Partners over his 14 year tenure in Commercial RE.

He currently serves as Founder and visionary leader of HALBERDIER Holdings LLC, HALBERDIER Real Estate LLC, The H Real Estate and other single purpose investment and development entities. Trey’s background began representing Fortune 500, multi-national, private and public entities in all facets of commercial real estate advisory, investments and developments. Trey quickly realized his purpose and passion was greater than the sole practice of Brokerage & Advisory. His innate entrepreneurial disciplined abilities have launched him into the creative dynamics of a CRE investor and developer. He created HALBERDIER Real Estate, also branded as The H Real Estate, to be an exceptional, “high-octane” boutique investment, development, and brokerage firm in Texas. Exceptional Performance, Distinctive Impact, Resilient Endurance and Community Connectedness are his significant outputs.

Mr. Halberdier’s wide range of experience includes Property Acquisition/Disposition, Sale/Leaseback, Investment Analysis, Ground up Development, Build to Suit, Design Build, Land Purchasing/Disposition, Business Development, Tenant Representation, Landlord Representation, Syndication, Promotion and Financial Services/Placement for Investments & Developments and (pre)Foreclosure & Bank REO Advisory and Principal Note Purchases.

Overall, Trey instills a fanatically disciplined entrepreneur mentality and possesses a keen ability to sponsor, procure and close complex deals with clients such as: US Bank, Whitney Bank, FDIC, SBA, RPC Inc., Malvern Instruments, Caza Oil & Gas, World Financial Group, Petroleum Wholesale, Citibank, The Redstone Companies, G.E. Capital, VOPAK, China Airlines, AmREIT and Private Investors, Banking, Oil/Gas Institutions, and Developers alike.

EDUCATION

Mr. Halberdier graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Business Administration with a Major in Marketing at The Fisher College of Business. While studying at The Ohio State University, Mr. Halberdier won NCAA Big Ten Conference Varsity Scholar Athlete Awards and a Big Ten Championship as a four-year letterman playing Division 1 Big Ten Varsity Men’s Soccer. Trey is affiliated and member of ULI, CommGate, NAIOP, Texas Young Professionals, CoreNet, HAR/TAR, ULI, and CCIM.

PERSONAL

Mr. Halberdier enjoys his family time with his wife Paige, young son Gavin, and two precious daughters Lyla and Libby Rose. Trey and his family are committed members of The Woodlands United Methodist Church. He serves as a Board Member of Commercial Gateway Houston, and past Vice President for The Ohio State University Alumni Association Chapter in Houston. Most recently, Trey became a Mentor with Investor Mentor Program in the Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Houston C. T. Bauer College of Business. Trey is a lifelong member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity Alumni Program, and an active youth Soccer Coach in The Woodlands Community. Trey also loves to read, cheer on his Buckeyes, practice yoga, golf, mountain bike, and pretty much anything outdoors.

Tom founded RRC MRE in 2003. He is responsible for making and executing on the company business plans. Tom has overall responsibility for all projects including the sourcing and structuring of those projects as well as overseeing all aspects of the organization. Tom has developed or acquired approximately 2,000,000 SF of mainly medical office buildings in Texas with a total value in excess of $500 million. Tom’s background is in the energy business, specifically natural gas commodities. His work in the energy business provided him with the ability and knowledge to be responsible for the development and acquisition of the current portfolio. Tom debuted the first “green” environmentally-friendly (LEED certified at the Silver) office building in the Greater Northwest/Houston area. He retired from Louis Dreyfus in 2010 as VP Trading. Prior to trading, Tom was an accountant for Coastal Corp and Direct Gas Supply. Tom attended St. Francis College of PA and Duquesne University studying Economics and Political Science.

Nate Newman

Nate Newman leads a team of highly qualified advisors specializing in the sale of retail shopping centers, office buildings, industrial business parks, and single-tenant net leased assets. Nate began his career in commercial real estate in 2007 with a small commercial real estate brokerage company in The Woodlands, TX. His timing coincided with The Great Recession, which taught Nate valuable lessons in humility, determination, and how to hustle. After five years and 65 transactions of various sizes, Nate joined Marcus & Millichap in 2013 to open The Woodlands office. During his tenure at Marcus & Millichap, Nate was very successful in representing some of the largest investors and developers in Houston. Nate has sold in excess of $400,000,000 of properties and he and his team have personally underwritten/valued billions of dollars worth of assets as a service to their clients.

Nate also has extensive experience as a developer, specializing in build-to-suit development and working through entitlement challenges for large land tracts. Since 2014, Nate has successfully developed three retail build-to-suits, one medical office building, and one large scale mixed-use development of 107 acres. Nate is currently developing three industrial business parks totaling 400,000 square feet and 5 mixed-use projects on 200+ acres totaling over one million square feet. Nate’s approach to investments is unique because he is able to leverage his transactional investment brokerage experience to generate capital, source deal opportunities, and have the knowledge base to work through challenges.

Nate is a graduate of Baylor University and is happily married to Marifer Newman. Marifer and Nate have two children. When not working, Nate enjoys spending time at his ranch, playing golf, serving in church, sailing, reading, and traveling with his family.

Mr. Parsley has been involved in and responsible for all phases of commercial real estate brokerage activity over the past 35 years. A native Houstonian, he returned to Houston after graduating from law school in 1979 to serve as an attorney with Bracewell & Patterson, specializing in corporate law. In 1983, he joined Colliers International, where he is one of the company’s principal shareholders. He served as President and CEO of Collier’s Houston office before assuming the position of Co-Chairman in 2004. He brings a wide range of real estate experience, along with an understanding of the legal issues involved in real estate transactions. He has represented a broad range of corporate clients, both public and private, in office and industrial sales and office tenant rep lease transactions in Houston and throughout the USA. Bob currently serves as a member of Colliers’ Occupier Services Group, Healthcare Services Group, and Law Firm Services Group. Bob has been one of the top two producers in the Colliers Houston office for the past fifteen years. He has also been a Colliers Everest Award recipient since the inception of the award, which is granted to the top 10% of producers for Colliers International in North America. The SIOR designation that he carries signifies the highest level of accountability and ethical standards in commercial real estate.

Virgil Yoakum

Virgil Yoakum was Woodforest's first employee when he was hired in October 2006. With more than 33 years of experience, he is well-known and well-respected in the Houston real estate market.

He served The Woodlands Development Company for more than 29 years in principal capacities as Vice President of Residential Land Sales and Development and Senior Engineer/Assistant Vice President of Engineering and Construction. Virgil was the company-appointed representative to The Woodlands Community Association and served on a number of boards including The Woodlands Association, The Woodlands Commercial Owners Association, the Town Center Association, the Carlton Woods Association and the East Shore Community Association. In 1995, he was named Marketing Director of the Year–Developer at the prestigious PRISM Awards given by the Greater Houston Builders Association. Virgil is an Eagle Scout and remains active in Friends of Scouting, George Strake District, Sam Houston Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

Josh Feinberg

Josh came to The J. Beard Real Estate Company with a background in entrepreneurship and marketing stemming from previously-owned businesses and currently works primarily in the industrial and office markets in The Woodlands area. His experience stems from numerous lease, sale and build-to-suit developments and tenant representation of various mixed-use clients. He also is heavily involved with sale and purchase transactions for his investment clientele.

Josh attended Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, and is currently enrolled at the University of Houston. He enjoys tennis and golf, is a long-time resident of The Woodlands and also holds a real estate license in the State of Texas.

Paul H. Layne is President, Central Region for The Howard Hughes Corporation. He is responsible for the master planned communities of The Woodlands, Bridgeland, and The Woodlands Hills in Houston, Texas and the office development at 110 North Wacker in Chicago, Illinois. He also provides strategic oversight for Summerlin in Las Vegas, Nevada and Columbia, Maryland along with other smaller assets within the

HHC portfolio. For more than 30 years, Mr. Layne has been a vital leader in Houston’s commercial real estate community as well as in national and international real estate.

Mr. Layne received a bachelor’s degree in Management from the University of Houston and attended South Texas College of Law. He currently serves on the boards for the University of Houston Graduate Real Estate Program, the Board of Trustees for Cristo Rey Jesuit College Preparatory School of Houston, advisory board member for Houston’s Urban Land Institute and Catholic Charities. He previously served on the boards for the Houston Downtown Management District, the Central Houston Association, the University of St. Thomas, Lone Star College Foundation, Houston’s Coalition for the Homeless and Houston’s Center for Hearing and Speech. He also serves as a Trustee for the Scanlan Foundation, a moderator and advisory board member for the Houston Business Ethics Forum and the South Texas College of Law Real Estate Conference and is a member of the Serra Club. He is President Emeritus of the Houston Downtown Management District Board and the Christian Community Service Center Board of Directors. Mr. Layne has been a speaker at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy Business Ethics Conference.

Gil Staley has been with The Woodlands Area Economic Development Partnership for

over 18 years and serves as Chief Executive Officer. In this position, he is responsible

for recruiting new businesses to the South Montgomery County area as well as directing

the business retention and expansion program. Gil also oversees the operational

aspects of the EDP while maintaining the financial integrity of the organization.

Prior to joining the EDP, he was the District Sales Director in Houston for Delta Air Lines.

In this role, he was responsible for marketing, corporate sales and community affairs for

Central & South Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. Gil was with Delta for over

26 years.

Gil is a 2009 Center for Houston's Future Business/Civic Leadership Forum graduate, as

well as a 2006 Leadership Montgomery County graduate. He serves on numerous

community boards including The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce, Gulf Coast

Workforce Board and Conroe North Houston Regional Airport Advisory Board. Gil is a

member of the Texas Economic Development Council, the International Economic

Development Council and Commercial Real Estate Association of Montgomery County.

Gil is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University with a B.B.A. degree in Business

Management.
