R. Alan Marcum, 49, was elected to the position of executive vice president Administration in 2008. Marcum has been with Devon since 1995, and most recently held the position of vice president and controller. Marcum is responsible for office administration, information technology, project management and records management. Prior to joining Devon, Marcum was employed by KPMG Peat Marwick (now KPMG LLP) as a senior auditor. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from East Central University, majoring in accounting and finance. Marcum is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Oklahoma State Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Patrick Jankowski is a regional economist and senior vice president of research at the Greater Houston Partnership. His observations and analysis on the local, regional and U.S. economic trends have appeared in over 200 newspapers, magazines, radio and television broadcasts, including The Atlantic, Bloomberg Business, CNNMoney, Financial Times, Forbes and The New York Times. He has worked for the Greater Houston Partnership, and its predecessor, the Houston Chamber of Commerce, for 37 years. He has been married to Olga Jankowski for 38 years. Both have been wonderful experiences.

Deniese Palmer-Huggins began her career financing international and domestic energy transactions at Banque Paribas, Houston (now BNP Paribas). In 1983, she joined the finance department of Transworld Oil, an international and domestic energy trading company and was promoted to Treasurer in 1987. During her tenure at the company, she was part of the acquisition team when the company purchased the refining and other assets of ARCO in the eastern U.S. In 1992, she joined Bayoil (U.S.A.), Inc., an international energy trading firm, as its Treasurer where she was responsible for financing the company’s activities in the Middle East and Eastern Europe and other parts of the world. In 1997, she joined the New York Mercantile Exchange to head up the Houston office of this commodity exchange where she was responsible for marketing the exchange and its energy derivatives. In 2002, she joined Prudential Financial Derivatives, LLC to head up its Houston office and help it expand its energy derivative trading and clearing business. In 2005, she joined Sun Coast Resources, one of the largest privately held companies in Houston, as its VP of Finance as part of the company’s growth strategy. In 2013, she joined the Center for Energy Economics at the University of Texas at Austin as a Senior Advisor on Energy focusing on the midstream in addition to other energy consulting projects.

Tim Relyea is Executive Vice Chairman of Cushman & Wakefield of Texas, Inc. (C&W) and has been on the board of C&W, served on the Compensation Committee and currently serves on the Global Management Committee. Mr. Relyea is one of the nation’s top real estate professionals. His real estate career began in 1978, and since that time Mr. Relyea has complete in excess of 60 million square feet of transactions for a total aggregate rental of more than $47 billion. Mr. Relyea was one of the first employees hired by twin brothers Louis B. Cushman and John C. Cushman, III, following the formation of Cushman Realty Corporation in 1978. Located in the Houston office, he became Executive Vice President and the #1 producing broker in the 200-person firm. In 2001, Cushman Realty merged with Cushman & Wakefield, Inc., with Mr. Relyea being named Vice Chairman. Mr. Relyea has been Cushman & Wakefield’s top global office broker four times and its top overall broker on a global basis for three different years. Mr. Relyea won the “Office Leasing Broker of the Year” award from the Houston Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) in both 1991 and 2002. He is also in the Houston (NAIOP) Hall of Fame. Apache Corporation, BHP Billiton, BG Group, Chevron, Devon Energy, Marathon Oil Company, Nabors, Hess Corporation, Citigroup, Mitsubishi, Bracewell & Giuliani , Fulbright & Jaworski, King & Spalding are just a few of the major corporations/professional firms Tim has represented.

Bradley Freels joined Midway in May 1983 and opened its Houston Office at that time. He became a Partner in 1990 and currently serves as the Chairman. Brad is the sole shareholder of Midway Holdings, LP., the holding company for an integrated group of real estate and investment related companies that operate under the name Midway. Under his leadership, Midway has prospered and become one of the most active developer/investment owners in the greater Houston area. Midway has developed and acquired more than 44 million square feet of office, industrial, hospitality, multi-family, medical and retail properties throughout the US and Northern Mexico, and more than 4,500 acres of business and residential communities in more than a dozen cities. Brad received both his BBA and MBA from Texas A&M University. He is involved with numerous national and local business, educational, Christian and charitable organizations.

Bruce Rutherford is an International Director within JLL Houston’s Office Tenant Representation group, and also serves as the global leader for JLL’s Energy & Sustainability practice group. Drawing on his experience in business consulting, Mr. Rutherford is an expert in creating real estate solutions to complex business problems. He has applied his expertise in tenant representation, lease restructuring, and offshoring to numerous industries including insurance, banking, law, energy, energy services, and telecom. He has managed city and regional master plans totaling more than 30 million square feet of corporate and regional headquarters transactions. Mr. Rutherford’s expansive market experience includes North America and Asia Pacific, including Singapore, Hong Kong, India, Philippines, Japan and China, where he has managed JLL business units and client relationships.

As President and CEO of Colvill Office Properties, Chip Colvill is responsible for directing leasing and marketing of a 21-million-square-foot portfolio of Class A office properties located in Houston and Dallas, Texas. Mr. Colvill is an industry veteran in the real estate market with over 31 years of experience, having begun his career in 1984. Prior to forming Colvill Office Properties in 2001, Mr. Colvill worked for numerous institutional real estate firms, including Cushman Realty Corporation, Trammell Crow Company, JMB Properties Company, Heitman, TrizecHahn, and Tishman Speyer Properties. Mr. Colvill has completed over 15 million square feet of lease transactions during his career in directing the leasing and marketing of some of Houston’s most iconic office developments, including 609 Main, 600 Travis, 1100 Louisiana, One Shell Plaza, 811 Louisiana, 1001 Fannin, 717 Texas, CityWestPlace, San Felipe Plaza, CityCentre, BLVD PLACE, the Galleria Office Towers, and Chase Tower (Dallas). PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITION • Honored and recognized in both 1999 and 2006 by the Houston Office Leasing Brokers Association (HOLBA) as the top Office Building Owner’s Representative of the Year as the only two-time recipient of such award. • Awarded the HOLBA 2014 Deal of the Year for concluding a 216,000 square-foot lease for BMC Software’s new headquarters. • Costar Houston “Power Broker” award for the past 12 years (2002-2014). • Recognized annually as a “Heavy Hitter” by the Houston Business Journal. EDUCATION Mr. Colvill obtained a Bachelors of Science degree from Southern Methodist University and he is currently on the SMU board of the Folsom Institute of Real Estate.
