Midway

Brad Freels serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Midway, Parkway’s development partner, and was named Co-Executive Chairman of Parkway in May of 2023 when Midway and Parkway announced the new venture between the firms.

Brad joined Midway in May 1983 and opened its Houston office at that time. He became a partner in 1990 and was appointed Chairman in 1999. He is the sole shareholder of Midway Holdings, LP, the holding company for an integrated group of real estate and investment-related companies that operate under Midway. Under Brad’s leadership, Midway has prospered and become one of the most active developer/investment owners in the greater Houston area. Midway has developed and acquired more than 45 million square feet of office, industrial, hospitality, multi-family, medical, and retail properties throughout the United States and Northern Mexico, and more than 4,500 acres of business and residential communities in more than a dozen cities. Brad is involved with numerous national and local business, educational, Christian, and charitable organizations. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration from Texas A&M University.

Laurie Baker

Camden

Laurie Baker is responsible for the oversight and strategy of Camden's Portfolio Operations, as well as Asset Management, Sustainability, Revenue and Business Intelligence, Information Technology, Marketing, and Camden's customer experience. During her time with Camden, Laurie has held several roles, including Senior Vice President of Fund & Asset Management, and has been responsible for Camden's reposition and redevelopment program totaling more than $900 million in property improvements. Laurie has a deep understanding of the multifamily industry, evolving customer preferences, and driving transformational change.

Before joining Camden in 1999, Laurie was Vice President at Walden Residential Properties and spent nine years at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute in Chevy Chase, Maryland.

Laurie is an officer on the National Multifamily Housing Council's Executive Committee. She is a member and former chair of ULI's Multifamily Bronze Council, and a ULI Global Governing Trustee. She serves on the boards of Camp For All and Texas A&M's Master of Real Estate Program. Laurie is an ongoing guest lecturer for George Washington University's Master of Real Estate Investment Institute. She is past President of CREW Network and CREW Houston and was recognized four times by Real Estate Forum as a Women of Influence. Laurie received her MBA in Finance from George Washington University and a BBA from Sam Houston State University.

Danny's leadership, TSC is dedicated to the art of placemaking—creating, building,

Danny has been named a Developer of the Year by the Greater Houston Builders

Association and honored nationally as a finalist for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year in

As Chief Executive Officer and the largest shareholder of Partners, Jon has been responsible for leading the significant growth of Partners from a small, narrowly-focused company, to a fully-diversified commercial real estate and investment firm with more than 250 people, and offices in Texas’ four major metro areas—Houston, Austin, San Antonio and Dallas—as well as one in Atlanta, Georgia, with continued expansion into the Southeastern U.S. and additional geographies on the way. From a client representation perspective, Jon is primarily focused in the areas of Tenant Representation and Corporate Services. Jon has over 30 years of transaction experience, including more than 20 million sq. ft.

Jon’s strengths are his analytical background coupled with a creative problem-solving approach. Rather than the typical “it can’t be done,” Jon’s approach is “it can be done” and he

works diligently to find creative methods and structures to assist his clients in reaching their real estate objectives. Jon is considered a “bulldog” when negotiating on behalf of his clients, and is focused on advocating for his clients to deliver superior results.
