Kevin Nowlan is a Chartered Surveyor with more than 20 years’ experience in the Irish property market, including commercial agency, property management, investment, development, & development financing, commercial loan portfolio management and debt restructuring. Prior to the formation of W K Nowlan REIT Management, after having spent 3 years as a Senior Portfolio Manager at NAMA and holding a similar role at Treasury Holdings for 4 years, Kevin also spent 6 years as MD of W K Nowlan Property (formerly W K Nowlan & Associates). He has a BSc in Estate Management from the University of Ulster, an MBA from Ulster Business School and a Diploma in Project Management from Trinity College, Dublin.

Roland was appointed Chairman of Savills in October 2014. He joined the firm in 1981 and during this time he was primarily responsible for the Office Agency Department.

He has advised numerous high profile clients in their search for office property in Ireland, including State Street for their new Dublin HQ. This was the largest city centre office transaction since the Citi HQ deal in 1999 – a deal in which Roland was also involved. More recently he secured the letting of city centre HQ’s to Facebook and Yahoo! He is also a past President of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland.

John Mulryan is the Group Managing Director of The Ballymore Group.

Based in London, John has overseen Ballymore becoming one of the biggest providers of residential accommodation in the city. These include landmark schemes including London City Island, Embassy Gardens, and Goodluck Hope. John also worked alongside the US government to move their embassy from Grosvenor Square to Embassy Gardens at Nine Elms, establishing a new riverside cultural district for the city and signalling a major shift in London’s diplomatic centre of gravity.

In Ireland, John is overseeing the completion of the group’s regeneration project on North Wall Quay, Dublin Landings. John is also responsible for ensuring planning permission is submitted for Ballymore’s large mixed-use scheme on 2.8 hectares at CIE Connolly Station in Dublin’s IFSC.

Prior to being appointed Group Managing Director in January 2018, John was Managing Director of Ballymore UK from July 2010. Prior to that, he was General Manager of Operations from July 2008 to July 2010.

He graduated from University College Dublin with a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Civil Engineering in 2004.

Pat joined Green Property in January 2009 as Managing Director of the various Green Property businesses, leading the development of a multi-billion (in assets under management) real estate workout business on behalf of banks and private equity firms. He was formerly European board director of CBRE. Pat was managing director of the real estate agency Gunne Commercial (now CBRE) in Ireland from 1997 to 2007 and in 2007 he sold Gunne Commercial to CBRE. Pat was appointed to the Advisory Board of EPRA in September 2016

Neil Gibson is Chief Economist in Ireland for EY providing economic advice, commentary and modelling input across all lines of service. He works closely with the EY-DKM Economic Advisory Services.

Current areas of focus include supporting firms to prepare for Brexit, forecasting the Irish economy and working with Government clients to ensure a policy focus on long term competitiveness. Neil is a macro economist and forecaster by background and has built a number of forecasting and policy models for clients in public and private sectors throughout the world. He manages EY’s suite of forecasting and simulation models on the island of Ireland.

He is a visiting Professor of Economic Policy at Ulster University and is also a 2014 Eisenhower Fellow.

Neil was formerly head of global cities and regions for Oxford Economics and the first Director of the Economic Policy Centre at Ulster University.

As Chief Economist, Neil is regular presenter at economic and policy conferences and is a frequent commentator in the media on economic matters in Ireland.

Simon is a Chartered Surveyor and joined Hammerson in 2006 with responsibility for a number of retail regeneration projects. In 2011 he moved to the corporate finance team with responsibility for Investor Relations and Corporate Strategy activities and played a key role in the strategic reorientation of the business to a focused retail REIT.

Subsequently Simon was responsible for improving business performance and efficiency, developing better alignment between the Group’s strategic objectives and tactical activities and enhancing our approach towards joint ventures and external stakeholders.

Simon was appointed Retail Director for Ireland in 2015, following the Company’s acquisition of the Project Jewel loan portfolio from NAMA.

Prior to joining Hammerson Simon worked in both property finance and development. Simon has an MBA from Cass Business School.

Sarah McDonnell has worked in the construction sector in Ireland for over 20 years. Her initial career focused on the delivery of shopping centres with Sisk – starting on Blanchardstown Town Centre and culminating in the new Dundrum Town Centre. Following a brief voluntary stint for Goal in Afghanistan, she turned her attention to Property Development, heading up the Project Management of all Irish and European Projects for Shelbourne Development. Over the past seven years, Sarah has worked in the fit-out industry with StructureTone delivering turn key projects for clients such as Google, KPMG and Willis Towers Watson. Sarah now brings her experience to bear in her role as Studio Lead and Principal for Client relations with Unispace in Dublin.

James Muir is Managing Director of PATRIZIA UK & Ireland, headquartered in London and with around €1.1 billion in real estate assets under management. He joined PATRIZIA in May 2012 and has established the firm’s investment and management capabilities, which now expand across all sectors in the UK and Ireland including residential and commercial real estate. To date, PATRIZIA has developed more than 750,000 sq ft of office and mixed-use real estate, managing a current pipeline of around a further 600,000 sq ft. Prior to joining PATRIZIA, James worked at JP Morgan for 13 years, first as real estate equity analyst and latterly in the real estate investment banking team advising clients on M&A and capital markets transactions. James graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a master’s in Politics and Modern History.

Antonio Marin-Bataller is the Managing Director for Pan-European Transactions in the living sector at PATRIZIA. A residential specialist, Antonio has focused on PRS, student housing and senior living for much of his career. At PATRIZIA, he has led the acquisition of 3,500+ residential properties in the UK&IE, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Belgium and Spain. He is involved with the full cycle of every transaction, from deal sourcing and negotiation, through to the delivery of each project, fit-outs and refurbishments, and initial leasing up to full occupancy. Prior to joining PATRIZIA, Antonio was a Director at CBRE in their residential investment and funding team and started his professional career as a banker at Goldman Sachs. He holds an Msc in Real Estate Finance from Cass Business School.

Graduating from NUI Galway with a MA in Economics, Marian became the first Economist to be

employed by a property company in Ireland when she established the research arm of Sherry

FitzGerald Group in 1996, after a number of years working in academia.

As Chief Economist and Director of Research Marian's role involves monitoring and analysing

economic and property indicators in the domestic and international markets. She is a regular

contributor in the Irish and international media and one of the most highly regarded commentators

in the industry.

Marian was appointed to the board of Sherry FitzGerald Group in 1998.

Peter has over 28 years of experience in the financial services and investment industry. He is the Chief Operating Officer of Kennedy Wilson Europe. Peter joined Kennedy Wilson Europe when the Company acquired the business of Bank of Ireland Real Estate Investment Management in June 2011 to head up the operations in Ireland. Prior to this he had been responsible for the development of that business from 2003. Previously, Peter held roles as director of Bank of Ireland Private Banking, and director of Bank of Ireland Asset Management respectively. Prior to joining Bank of Ireland, he spent nine years in the corporate finance industry, primarily focused on mergers and acquisition activity for Irish corporates. Peter is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, having qualified with Arthur Andersen in Dublin. He holds a Bachelor of Law from Trinity College, Dublin.

Brian is responsible for developing Hines’ Ireland projects. He established the Hines platform in Ireland which currently has more than €2.3 billion of retail, office and residential assets under management, in addition to a major development pipeline which includes an additional €500 million of retail development and over 4,000 residential units. He re-joined the firm in 2011 having previously worked with Hines in Russia in the 1990's. In between, he ran his own successful development management and investment advisory firm based in Dublin which focused on large urban regeneration, university campus developments and housing PPP projects. Brian is a graduate of Architecture from the Dublin Institute of Technology and obtained an MBA at the University of Chicago. He is a trustee of ULI Europe, a National Council Member for Ireland and chairs the Irish Architecture Foundation.

Karen is a Partner in William Fry’s Real Estate Department. She specialises in all types of property development and investment transactions (both loan and asset based) including syndicate investments using corporate, funds and other structures. She has extensive experience in the site assembly, financing, structuring, letting and disposal of retail developments and mixed schemes on behalf of landlords and developers including multi-family and private rented sector 'PRS' development. She advises tenants taking space in all types of commercial property including the retail, office and industrial sectors. Karen is a frequent speaker and writer on commercial property and tax related issues. She is consistently ranked as a leading lawyer by legal directories. She is a leading practitioner in Who's Who Legal:Real Estate 2018. In Legal 500 EMEA 2017, Karen is ‘highly rated’ having advised Hammerson and Allianz Real Estate on the €1.85bn acquisition of the Project Jewel loan portfolio from NAMA. According to Chambers Europe 2019, sources comment that "You can rely on her support. She's very hard working, her advice is good and insightful, commercial and pragmatic."
