Jeanette is the CIF’s Head of Economic and Policy Research. She works with Federation policy committees and Directors, helping to guide policy across a spectrum of economic / industry / fiscal / regulatory / development issues. She is also responsible for carrying out and commissioning new research, expanding the CIF’s information databases, preparation of submissions and strategy papers and advocating on various industry matters to support CIF’s dialogue with key policy stakeholders.

Jeanette joined the CIF in 2007 as Housing, Planning and Development Executive, a role she held until 2017. She was Project Manager of CIRI (Construction Industry Register Ireland) from 2013 to 2017 during which time she oversaw the establishment and operation of the new register. Jeanette has been Manager of the CIF’s Register of Heritage Contractors since 2011.

Joseph Mady is the Managing Director of the Digital Construction Technologies Group. He is a member of the CIF 4.0 Committee (BIM), a member of the NSAI Technical Committee on Building Information Modelling, and a member of the CitA BIM Eastern Region Steering Committee.

Industry work aside, he is a part-time lecturer at Technological University Dublin, lecturing on the CPD Digital Delivery for site Teams, Construction site management and a part-time BIM lecturer at the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland.

He holds BEng Tech and BSc degrees in Electrical Engineering Services Design and an MSc in Applied Building Information Modelling and Management.

Nuala has been working in development and placemaking internationally for over 20 years. She took

up the role of Director of Planning, Environment & Placemaking with Limerick in July 2021. Prior to

this she was she was Director for Economy of Place with Bristol City Council leading on the direction

and implementation of the Council’s inclusive growth agenda and physical renewal of Bristol within

the West of England region. Preceding that she was Director of City Centre Development with

Belfast City Council where she established a new development and regeneration department for the

city with the transfer of powers from central government in Northern Ireland.

Earlier roles include Head of Regeneration with the London Borough of Newham; leading one of the

largest regeneration projects in Europe with a focus on inclusive growth, remit included post-

Olympic projects in Stratford, bringing 15,000 homes to Canning Town and Custom House and the

redevelopment of London’s Royal Docks.

Prior to London, Nuala worked in New York City in both private and non-profit sector, leading on

sustainable urban development in a low-income area of East New York, as well as teaching at

Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation. Nuala is a

graduate of Columbia University with masters in Urban Design and is a registered architect. Earlier

work included Executive Architect for Housing with Donegal County Council, and several years

working as an architect in the private sector in Dublin and Donegal.

Rachael McGinley is Head of Sustainability for CBRE Ireland, where she is responsible for corporate sustainability, and providing sustainability advice to CBRE’s clients. CBRE enables property owners and occupiers with sustainability strategy, energy efficiency, and wellness programs. In 2007, CBRE became the first commercial real estate services company to announce a commitment to become carbon neutral in its own operations and has recently adopted a Science-Based Target.

Previously, Rachael worked for the Green Building Council of Australia in technical, strategic and engagement roles. She also has a background in structural engineering and brings a practical approach to sustainability in the property sector.

Carol is an ESG Business Consultant with expertise in sustainability strategy, compliance, and reporting. Working in partnership with Aramark Property for over a year, she has assisted them, and their clients navigate the rapidly changing regulatory and legislative landscape with regards to ESG, focusing on strategy adaption, implementation, and reporting.

Carol has over 25 years industry experience in the technology, engineering, and health sectors. She is a qualified management accountant, with and MBA and postgrads in economics and compliance. Carol is also a certified Sustainability Reporting professional for the GRI and SASB (VRF) standards.

Philip is an aircraft and marine engineer who has turned his considerable skill set to renewable energy and energy efficiency. He believes in a solutions-based approach to business and helps our partners reduce their environmental impact in heat, transport and agriculture

Deepshikha is an Associate at international, independent real estate consultancy, Hollis. With a bachelor and master’s degree in Architecture, Deepshikha is an experienced real estate professional with a focus on ESG. She is a certified BREEAM Assessor, BREEAM AP, LEED AP BD+C, and Fitwel Ambassador and leads the BREEAM/LEED certification, ESG Due Diligence reporting, and Sustainability Statements for planning services at Hollis. Deepshika’s experience spans a range of sectors from data centres and offices, to hotels, residential and infrastructure.

Deirdre Foley is the CEO and owner of D2 Private. Her business focus is working with investors to deliver exceptional commercial mixed use developments and refurbishments, incorporating technology and targeting best in class ESG and Net Zero Carbon credentials. She is one of Ireland’s most successful financiers and real estate professionals with over 25 years’ experience in real estate investment and development. She has also been recognised as one of the top 50 women in property in the UK throughout two UK property cycles and is highly regarded and respected within both the British and Irish property industries. She is also a member of the GRI ESG & Impact Investment Global committee.

During her property career to date she has been directly and indirectly involved in the buying and selling of real estate assets and raising debt and equity of approx. £3.5 billion. She adopts an intensive, active, hands on management style to real estate investments, developments, leasing and tenant management, investor relations and banking relationships.

Ronan Webster has 30 years of experience in commercial real estate, focusing on investment and asset management.

Prior to joining Henderson Park, Ronan was Asset Management Director of Green REIT, where he was responsible for leasing and the implementation of Green REIT plc’s asset management strategy. Prior to joining Green Property, Ronan was a Board Director of CBRE in Ireland from 1998 to 2011, where he served a variety of clients including public companies, pension funds, banks and large office occupiers in acquiring and disposing of property in Ireland and the UK.

Ronan has transacted on over €4 billion of commercial real estate investments in the Irish market since 2015.

Ronan graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Surveying from Trinity College Dublin and holds a Diploma in Property Economics from Technology University Dublin, and is also a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Margaret Sweeney is the Chief Executive Officer and a Board Director of Irish Residential

Properties REIT Plc (I-RES). I-RES is the leading provider of quality private residential rental

Margaret has wide-ranging board experience, having been a Non-Executive Director of several

and an Adjunct Professor at Dublin City University (DCU) Business School. Margaret is a Past

President of Dublin Chamber of Commerce and previously held the position of Chief Executive Officer

of daa Plc (Dublin Airport Authority) and Postbank Ireland Ltd.

Margaret has a wide range of personal and professional interests, particularly relating to

sustainability and the development of women leaders.

Michelle Ang is Director of Corporate Development and Sustainability at Irish Residential Properties REIT PLC, a residential REIT with c. €1.5bn of real estate assets under management. Michelle is a multi-disciplined professional and currently oversees IRES’ sustainability strategy through planning, developing and defining strategic business growth and restructuring initiatives. Before joining IRES Michelle worked at Green REIT plc where she was responsible for a variety of functions over eight years including portfolio management, investor relations, digital strategy, marketing and data & insights. Prior to that, she worked at Savills Ireland where she helped set up the Hotels & Leisure business unit.

Michelle is an Executive MBA candidate at Trinity College Dublin and also holds a Masters in Real Estate and BSc in Business Studies. Michelle is a qualified Chartered Surveyor.

Stephen Prendiville leads EY Ireland’s Sustainability business. Driving forward both EY Ireland’s own carbon negative and net zero strategy internally, while also ensuring our clients gain the maximum value from EY professionals experienced in sustainability and related services. Originally from Limerick, Stephen moved to Canada in 2011 where he worked with large cities (including Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver, Edmonton, Montreal and Ottawa) to deliver sustainable mobility solutions as well as climate resilience advisory services. Passionate about the provision of higher order electrified public transport and compact urban design, and its role in tackling poverty and homelessness, Stephen has dedicated his professional career to network system thinking – considering the implications of multiple trends and disruptions for planning and strategy development for clients. Notably, Stephen has also undertaken significant infrastructure development and related policy development initiatives for the advance of the circular economy. Stephen returned to Ireland in the Summer of 2020 to lead EY Ireland’s ambitious climate action agenda and the growth of its sustainability services for EY’s clients.

As Manager on the Commercial team at the International WELL Building Institute, Mona Duff supports project teams and clients looking to promote health and well-being in the European market. Mona’s focus is to provide technical solutions and act as a WELL coaching contact for Europe.

Before joining IWBI, Mona worked as a mechanical building services engineer at the global engineering firm Arup. In her role she specialized in sustainable and health focused mechanical design approaches. As one of Ireland’s first WELL APs, Mona worked on numerous WELL-registered projects, bringing sustainability and healthy building design under one umbrella.

Mona is a Chartered Engineer with CIBSE and Engineers Ireland and also holds WELL AP, LEED AP in Building Design and Construction, and Home Performance Index Assessor qualifications. She is also a profound energy modeller in IES.

Combining her background in mechanical design, energy simulation and sustainability, Mona is keen to support the European market to design sustainable and health focused buildings and communities.

David is an experienced property developer with 20 years of active client-side development experience in Ireland, China, UK and EU. He has consistently championed the synergy of creating great places while maximizing value.

Between 2008 to 2017, David worked on the largest planning application ever secured in Central London at the iconic Battersea Power Station. Working as both the Chief Development Officer and Head of Design and Placemaking, David was instrumental in developing the placemaking strategy, the masterplan, mix and architecture at the Power Station. After 30 years of failed delivery David helped oversee the project’s transformation into the fastest selling residential scheme in the history of the UK and home to Apple Inc’s new 500,000 sqft HQ.

In 2017, David became one of the founding partners at MurrayTwohig to spread the benefit of his experience to significant projects around the world. David’s role is to help developers of large complex projects rationalise their delivery strategy and understand the financial benefits of considered development.

Carol Tallon, CEO of communications agency Property District, specialises in PR and Public Consultation for urban development. With more than 15 years across the planning, construction, property and proptech sectors, Carol has worked with government departments, industry representatives, developers, construction companies, auctioneering firms and media outlets.
