Fiona Arnold is a long time corporate attorney and real estate investor. After seven years as an executive vice president at Vail Resorts, Inc., she launched MAINSPRING Developers focused on residential and commercial urban real estate redevelopment in Denver with the guiding principle that development must have at its core the obligation to create unique, enduring and community centered spaces.

Fiona is a native Australian but adopted Colorado and Denver as her home in 2001, where she lives with her husband and two children.

Renee is working to align resources, critical assets, leaders, and investments in west Denver with the goal of moving community priorities and integration opportunities from concept to implementation. Renee’s prior work includes many Denver metro infill redevelopment projects where she has provided master planning, site development studies, and revitalization strategies for more than 20 years as a private consultant.

Renee’s “community-based” approach has creatively incorporated community stakeholders into plans and award-winning built projects with meaningful community outcomes. Renee is a fifth generation Colorado native, wife, and mother of two daughters.

Susan Powers is President of Urban Ventures, LLC, a Denver real estate development company that has

built multiple mixed income and mixed-use projects in and around downtown Denver over the past 24

years. The focus is to build communities which provide opportunities for residents and commercial

tenants to live and work in a healthy environment. Urban Ventures has led the redevelopment of a 17

acre former convent in northwest Denver into a model mixed income, neighborhood called Aria Denver

that will include 540 residential units and commercial space. She is also leading STEAM On The Platte, an

adaptive reuse of a former industrial property on the Platte River south of Mile High Stadium. It includes

the renovation of a 100 year old warehouse into office space for creative businesses and a separate

building that was renovated for the city’s first Latino owned and operated craft brewery, Raices

Brewing. Urban Ventures is currently involved in various roles with 4 affordable housing developments

in Colorado. Prior to creating Urban Ventures, she was Executive Director of DURA (Denver Urban

Renewal Authority) for 11 years (late 80’s and 90’s) and participated in the redevelopment of downtown

Denver. She is a member of the board of directors of the Elevation Community Land Trust and Denver

Health Foundation and participates in many community initiatives regarding equity and affordable

housing.

Haroun Cowans is a prominent social, financial, and philanthropic leader with over two decades

of experience leading development and investment in the Five Points District of Denver,

Colorado. Haroun is responsible for Goshen Development’s operations, client relations,

partnerships, business development, and strategic leadership. He has held many leadership

positions in real estate and finance but considers his greatest passion his work as an associate

pastor at Church in the City – Beth Abraham. Outside of ministry, Haroun is the Founder and

Managing Principal of Goshen Development. Haroun has built strong relationships to the Five

Points and greater Denver community through his extensive work and board appointments.

Throughout his career, Haroun has held many different positions in real-estate and finance

including managing retail financial branches, raising capital for startups, financial advising,

financial services at Merrill Lynch, Chief Real Estate Officer and commercial real estate broker.

Haroun has been appointed by the Mayor to serve on the Denver Board of Human Services and

the Advisory Committee for Housing People Experiencing Homelessness. He is a board member

of the following organizations: Colorado Enterprise Fund, Five Points Business Improvement

District, Historic Denver, Denver Health Foundation, Denver African American Philanthropists

(co-chair), and Black Resilience in Colorado. He has previously served on the boards of Denver

East YMCA, Cleo Parker Robinson Dance and Youth Biz (chair).

At the core of Albus Brooks’ identity is community development and servant leadership. Albus moved to Colorado in 1997 to study and play football for the University of Colorado. Sports Illustrated named him one of the Top 10 Hardest Hitters, and the NFL took interest in him before injuries ultimately ended his football career. Albus Brooks pursued his calling for community development by working with young people in Denver’s poor communities. He served as the Director of the Issachar Center for Urban Leadership, an organization that invests in Denver’s emerging leaders. In 2010 Albus worked to elect then- Mayor John Hickenlooper as Governor of Colorado, acting as the statewide Outreach and Political Director.

This exposure to political leadership led him to seek public office, and in 2011 Albus defeated 38

opponents to become the youngest African American ever elected to Denver City Council. Serving two terms on Denver City Council, including two terms as Council President, Albus accomplished an ambitious range of progressive legislative victories with the goal of building a truly inclusive city. To address the affordability crisis, he co-created Denver’s first - and Colorado’s largest - affordable housing fund. To make Denver a more equitable place to grow up he funded and expanded the Denver Preschool Program, providing universal access to preschool for all 4-year-olds. He also decriminalized marijuana possession for those 18-21 years old, preventing thousands of young people from entering the criminal justice system. Albus Brooks received his M.B.A. from the University of Denver. He is now the Vice President of

Business Development and Public Affairs for Milender White, a Development and Construction

firm operating in Southern California and Colorado. Albus sits on multiple boards and commissions and has been a part of the following national and international fellowship programs: The Marshall Memorial Fellowship, the NewDEAL Leaders, and the Aspen Institute - Rodel Fellowship. Although a rising global leader, it is in the heart of Denver where Albus feels most at home. He lives in Five Points/RiNo with his three young children, Makai, Kenya and Kaya.

Helping clients navigate the complex real estate landscape, Catherine Hildreth combines development, land use, entitlement, acquisition and disposition work in her practice when approaching commercial, multifamily, resort and industrial projects. She provides legal expertise to local and national developers when they consider the development or acquisition of a wide range of property assets, including apartments and multifamily residential buildings, office, retail, ski resorts, golf courses, industrial, mixed use and land.

In Colorado, Catherine has an intricate understanding of the development and business climate and experience representing big-box retailers and local developers on land use, title and financing matters. Prior to joining Brownstein, Catherine represented major financial institutions in real estate litigation, Chapter 11 bankruptcy matters and other matters related to real estate secured debt.

Jim Schloemer is Chief Executive Officer of Continental Properties Company, Inc. headquartered in Wisconsin. Continental has developed a diversified portfolio of retail, multifamily, and hospitality properties in 19 states, having developed more than 34,000 apartment homes and currently owning and operating approximately 27,000 homes in 15 states. Jim received an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BS in Accounting from Valparaiso University where he pursued his undergraduate studies at the time he co-founded the company. He is the Chair of the National Multifamily Housing Council and serves on the boards of West Bend Insurance Company and Whole Child International.

Laura Brudzynski is the Chief Executive Officer of Archway Communities. She coordinates across the Archway staff to create strategic goals, align internal operations, develop external partnerships to further Archway’s mission, and engage with staff and residents to meet the housing and supportive services needs of our communities.

Prior to Archway, Laura spent 10 years at the City and County of Denver creating local resources for affordable housing and homelessness resolution. She helped bring together resources and staff for housing and homelessness resolution in Denver through the creation of the Department of Housing Stability, and served as the Executive Director and Chief Housing Officer in 2023. Before serving as the Chief Housing Officer, she oversaw operations for the Department of Housing Stability and directed housing policy and programs. Prior to that, Laura built affordable homes with Habitat for Humanity in Metro Denver, Milwaukee, Costa Rica, and Chile as part of the AmeriCorps program and international Global Village trips.

Laura has an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Sociology from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI, and graduate degrees in Urban and Regional Planning and Public Administration from the University of Colorado Denver.

When she is not working, you can usually find Laura spending time outside at home or in nature with her husband, Mike, and two kids, Jackson and Cassidy. She is an aspiring urban homesteader – at a small scale – with a veggie garden, fruit trees, backyard chickens, honey bees, and a love of homecooked meals and baked bread. She also enjoys yoga, farmers’ markets, hiking and spending time in the Colorado mountains, and spending time with family and friends.

David co-founded Zocalo spurred by a commitment to development that balanced investment returns,

community impact and environmental respect.

David focused on downtown development as soon as he arrived in Denver in 1990.  David’s first project was

the Lofts over the Wynkoop Brewery. Since the Wynkoop, David established the vision for historic

conversions such as the Downtown Denver and Downtown San Diego Courtyards by Marriott, which utilized

the Historic Investment Tax Credit. In Denver, David was one of the first developers to work through,

develop and sell deed-restricted, for-sale units at Silver State Lofts, a program that codified in the

Inclusionary Housing Ordinance.

Since formation, Zocalo has quickly become among the best respected development

a LEED-Accredited Professional, David oversees all aspects of project development and management to

ensure they meet project specifications, budgets and timelines.  As recognition, David received the Denver

Business Journal's Developer of the Year award for 2012.

David received his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He is

interim board chair of the State Housing Board and was chairman of the board of directors of community

jazz station KUVO and co-chair of the Downtown Denver Partnership's Housing Council.  David co-founded

the University of Denver's Affordable Housing Conference and co-chaired the Conference's first five years.

David has an appointment to Mayor Hancock's Task Force on Affordable Housing.  He received the

Affordable Housing Leader of the Year Award for 2006 from the Denver chapter of the Enterprise

Foundation.

Kimberly Duty is Senior Vice President of Public Affairs and Industry Initiatives for the National Multifamily Housing Council. She has lead responsibility for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategic communications program for the Council and for directing the association’s industry technology initiative.

She oversees and directs three broad initiatives: NMHC's member information/content strategy, including digital/web communications; public affairs and public relations; and special industry initiatives, most importantly the association’s work to create an ecosystem that encourages industry innovation in areas such as PropTech, FinTech and ConstructionTech.

Prior to joining NMHC, Kim served as Assistant Director of the National Association of Home Builders' Multifamily Council where she managed the Council's legislative and regulatory issues and directed the group's communications and public relations program.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (Phi Beta Kappa) in International Relations from The College of William & Mary. Following graduation, she spent 18 months in Berlin, Germany working at the Berlin Public Affairs Office during the fall of the Berlin wall. Kim also holds a Masters in Public Policy from Georgetown University. As a member of the real estate team, Tasha navigates clients through real estate transactions from contract to closing. Chase Hill is the Associate Director of the Denver office and is in charge of all aspects of development and investment, including financial underwriting, site selection, entitlement and design work, consultant and construction coordination, project financing, asset management, and dispositions. Prior to working for CREA, Chase was a Senior Analyst for the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), where he worked in the Real Assets Division that manages a 15% real estate allocation for the $120 billion pension fund. Chase spent a substantial amount of his time at TRS managing a $278 million co-investment with Wood Partners, the nation’s largest apartment developer. Through this co-investment vehicle, TRS & Wood Partners developed 25 apartment communities across the county, amounting to nearly 6,000 units and over $1.3 billion in total project costs. Kristen Terjesen is the Principal Designer and Owner of Studio 10 Interior Design. She is responsible for overseeing new opportunities, client relationships and leading the firms design efforts. Bobby Hutchinson has been in the multifamily industry in Denver for over 20 years. He joined the RedPeak team as Investment Director in 2010, was promoted to Chief Investment Officer in 2015 and then to his current position as President in 2022. During his time at RedPeak he has been instrumental in growing the RedPeak portfolio from $300M to over $1B. Charles Williams is an executive managing director with Newmark Knight Frank's Multifamily Capital Markets Debt & Structured Finance group in the Denver office.

Prior to joining NKF, Mr. Williams served as a senior vice president with KeyBank Real Estate Capital in Denver, where he managed a team of mortgage bankers responsible for all of the bank's multifamily loan production in the central and southeast regions. Mr. Williams and his team closed more than $5 billion in debt over seven years with an emphasis on agency lending (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and FHA), life company placements and CMBS. Previously, Mr. Williams was responsible for all permanent multifamily loan production for KeyBank's Rocky Mountain-based clients. He began his career with KeyBank as a balance sheet banker at the firm's Cleveland headquarters.

Prior to joining KeyBank, Mr. Williams was with Realty Funding Group L.L.C., a Denver-based real estate acquisition and investment banking company. Mr. Williams studied Business Management and Finance at the University of Maryland and Real Estate Finance at New York University's Stern School of Business.

Lance Wright is a Managing Director for ACORE Capital and operates out of the firm’s Dallas, Texas

office. He manages the Central Region for ACORE which includes both the Southwest and Midwest

areas of the United States and he originates roughly $1 billion of debt volume per year.

Prior to his current role, Lance was a Regional Director at GE Capital Real Estate where he oversaw the

origination efforts in the Central portion of the United States. While at GE, Lance was named one of the

“20 Rising Stars in Real Estate” by Institutional Investor News in 2008. Prior to this position, Lance was a

Senior Director at GE and was consistently one of the top producers within North America Lending.

Lance has been actively involved in the real estate finance industry since graduating from SMU in 1990.

He joined GE in 2001 from Heller Financial where he was Director. Earlier in his career, Lance worked

with Amresco in Dallas.

Currently a Vice Chair of the 1,250-member ULI North Texas Chapter, Lance is an active member in the

national ULI Student Housing Council (STHC), and is also a member of NMHC, MBA, ICSC and The Real

Estate Council (TREC).

Lance has a BBA in Finance from SMU and an MBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Lance has been married to his wife, Angie, for 19 years and they reside in University Park, Texas. They

have three children – Christian (age 16), George Nicholas (age 14) and Alexandra (age 10). Lance

KEVIN CHADWICK is a Managing Director with Hunt Real Estate Capital, a subsidiary

of Hunt Companies. Mr. Chadwick has 29 years of experience in commercial real

estate finance and multifamily development. Based in Denver, CO, he is responsible for

conventional loan production and origination of Hunt’s full range of debt and equity

products for multifamily and other commercial assets in the Rocky Mountain Region and

Western U.S. His platform includes, but is not limited to, Fannie Mae DUS, Freddie Mac,

FHA (HUD) and Hunt’s proprietary on balance sheet equity and loan programs. Kevin

works with clients to find creative solutions to all their financing needs.

Prior to joining the firm in 2017, Kevin was a Principal at Terrix Financial Corporation

for over 16 years where he served as a traditional mortgage banker financing all types

of multifamily and commercial real estate. In that role, he placed debt with correspondent

life insurance companies, CMBS lenders, banks, and Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac lenders.

Prior to that, he worked four years as Vice President of multifamily development for Lincoln

Property Company and ten years in loan production and underwriting for NorthMarq

Capital. Aside from extensive experience in office, retail, and industrial properties, much of

his focus in recent years has been multifamily fixed rate and interim bridge financing.

Kevin grew up in Tacoma, Washington, & is now a 4th generation Denver native. Outside

of work, he has been involved as a ski coach at Vail Resorts and as a mentor, facilitator,

and fund raiser for Colorado Youth at Risk, a mentoring program for at risk teenagers.

Mr. Chadwick graduated from University of Denver with a BSBA in Finance and

Real Estate.

Mr. Decker was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of IRET in April 2017. Previously, he served as Chief Investment Officer of IRET when he joined the company in August 2016. Prior to that, he served as Managing Director and US Group Head of Real Estate Investment & Corporate Banking at BMO Capital Markets, where he helped grow the platform into an active participant in real estate debt, equity and M&A transactions. He worked for nearly 16 years as a real estate investment banker at BMO Capital Markets, Robert W. Baird & Co. and Ferris, Baker Watts and during that time, was involved in more than $90 billion in real estate capital markets and advisory transactions. Prior to that, Mr. Decker started his career in banking in Friedman, Billings, Ramsey & Co., Inc.'s Financial Institutions Group. Mr. Decker holds a B.A. in History from the College of William & Mary.

Mr. Campbell was appointed Senior Vice President of Investments in June 2018. Previously, he served as Vice President of Investments when he joined the company in December 2016. Prior to joining IRET, Mr. Campbell was Vice President with The Excelsior Group, where he sourced acquisition opportunities and structured joint venture partnerships for the company's investment fund business. Previously, he was Director of Corporate Finance for Welsh Property Trust, where the firm consolidated various real estate holdings into a fully integrated investment vehicle that completed a successful initial public offering on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Bradley Boodt serves as counsel to real estate developers and lenders throughout Colorado, Nevada and New Mexico. In his nearly twenty-five years of practice, he has advised clients in connection with the development and operation of some of the most prominent real estate projects in the Mountain West. He devotes a significant portion of his practice to the construction and financing of large commercial developments, including multi-family, mixed-use, large master planned community, shopping mall, stadium and office developments. An engineer by training, Josh has spent more than 21 years leading teams and leveraging technology to help organizations solve their most complex challenges. He has extensive management consulting experience in project management, data center operations, process transformation, operations management and business continuity. His work spans multiple industries, including retail, publishing, finance, healthcare and natural resources. Josh is known for his problem-solving mindset and ability to streamline processes to improve team performance. Brandon joined Greystar in 2007, and is senior managing director of real estate for the Mountain division which includes Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, the Dakotas, Nebraska and Kansas. He received a bachelor of science degree in finance from Western International University, and is a licensed broker in Arizona and Colorado. Brandon has served in the Apartment Association in various capacities, and is treasurer on the board of director's executive committee. He also serves on the Towing Task Forces Committee for the state of Colorado, and was appointed by Governor John Hickenlooper.

Walter Armer serves as a Managing Director with Holland Partner Group where he oversees the firm’s metro-Denver development activities. Prior to joining Holland, Walter was with the Broe Real Estate Group where he was responsible for multi-family asset management as well as the oversight of the Country Club Towers II development project. Prior to this, Mr. Armer was Director of Development and Forward Planning at the CORE Companies, a private multi-family development firm based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Walter has more than 25 years of multi-family asset management and development experience, including at Albion Pacific Property Resources, SNK Development and Trammell Crow.

As Stay Alfred’s Senior Vice President of Real Estate, Mike Wilson excels at uniting companies

commercial real estate brokerage during the mid-2000s, working with multifamily developers

and investors. This experience cultivated a genuine appreciation for what each party brings to

the table. Later, after earning an MBA in Finance, Wilson managed distressed debt and then

moved into commercial banking at a Spokane-based community bank. His experience in both

sales and financing has given him a broad range of insight in the operation of real estate assets.

appreciation for acceptable risk levels for companies and their stakeholders.

With over 30 years of technology and telecommunications experience, Stephan blends the perspective of the user with that of new technology adoption. Starting his career as the first Manager of Advanced Technology for the State of Colorado for Governors Lamm and Romer, he then went on to private industry. He formed a materials company that designed and built wireless technology for the second generation cellular service and for the military. Then formed one of the first bundled communications companies serving four states. Since then he has led software companies, service companies and natural resources companies all with the eye of creating something that will positively impact communities.

He currently is also volunteering for a local rural broadband deployment and still maintains an interest in a data analytics company.

Tyler Carlson is a Managing Principal, manages Evergreen’s Denver office and leads the acquisition and development of all commercial properties in Colorado. During his tenure with Evergreen, Tyler has been involved in all facets of real estate development from initial site identification and contract negotiation through construction close out and tenant opening across a multitude of projects throughout the country. Tyler has significant experience in structuring joint ventures and public private partnerships, the financial underwriting of complex real estate transactions and an extensive network of tenant, consultant, government, owner and brokerage relationships. He is a licensed and active real estate broker in Colorado and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI). Tyler graduated Magna Cum Laude from Brigham Young University with dual Bachelor’s degrees in Finance and Economics and earned a Master’s of Real Estate Development (MRED) from the University of Southern California, graduating at the top of his class. Tyler joined Evergreen in 2003.

Scott is currently the Division President of the Mountain States/Southwest for Lennar’s Multifamily Apartment Division where he has been responsible for sourcing over $900 million of development since late-2012 in Denver and Phoenix and building a team of over 40 development, construction and property management professionals. With over 15 years of experience in multifamily, Scott previously served as the Managing Director of Mill Creek Residential Trust, where he sourced the development of over $100 million and established a successful development, construction and asset management platform in the Mountain States. He also was the Managing Director of Trammell Crow Residential and, along with his team, was responsible for the sourcing and development of over $500 million in luxury multifamily communities. Scott is a graduate of the University of Virginia (BA) and the University of Colorado (MBA).

Brian P. Wynne serves as a President and co-Founder of Wynne Yasmer Real Estate. Wynne Yasmer was formed in 2019 and is a Denver-based real estate company with focus on multi-family and mixed-use development and acquisitions. Until June 2019, Mr. Wynne was Senior Managing Director for Mill Creek Residential Trust. He oversaw all activities in the Mountain States division of the company as well as the office as a whole. Prior to joining Mill Creek, Mr. Wynne served as Vice President of Simpson Housing LLLP, responsible for all development activities in Colorado, California, and Arizona. In this positions, he sourced and executed the development of over 2,000 apartment homes worth over $600mm in capitalization.

Mr. Wynne previously held development positions with Forest City Enterprises, covering mixed-use development activities in Denver, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Arizona. In this capacity, he oversaw over a million SF of commercial and residential development including high-rise office and residential as well as luxury retail.

Prior to starting his career in real estate, Mr. Wynne worked at Deloitte Consulting in New York City. He is an alumnus of Leadership Denver 2015 and is actively engaged in the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation. He sits on the Colorado ULI Multi-Housing Product Council. He holds a Master of Business Administration with a focus on finance and real estate from The Anderson School at University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Virginia. Mr. Wynne lives in Denver with his wife and three children.

Ben Krasnow is the managing director for the southwest region of the Crescent Communities multifamily business. Most recently, Ben served as the vice president of Multifamily Development for McWhinney, a Denver-based Real Estate Development company. In this role, he managed the development of over 2,000 apartment homes in the Denver-area, as well as Austin, Portland, and Omaha. With 15 years of progressively complex experience in the multifamily real estate industry including the Bozzuto Group in Washington DC, Krasnow brings a wealth of knowledge to his new role at Crescent. Krasnow holds a master’s degree in real estate development from the University of Maryland.

Kim Sperry has diverse experience in real estate finance and investment having started her career in workouts with First Interstate Bancorp. She spent the next 20 years in real estate private equity with Amstar Group where she managed a diverse portfolio of joint venture development projects to include office, hospitality, multifamily and industrial. Most recently, Kim opened the office and built the CO team for RangeWater Real Estate which projects include The Armory in Boulder, Fox Ironworks in Denver and Lupine - a BTR townhome project in Longmont.

The Dinerstein Companies (TDC) has hired Matthew Schildt as the Rocky Mountain Regional Partner based in Denver, CO. In his role, Schildt will source all new development and acquisition opportunities in Utah, Colorado, and Arizona and will work hand in hand with our California team. Matthew joins TDC after ten years with Trammell Crow Residential, most recently serving as the Managing Director for TCR in Denver. While at TCR, Matthew was successful in leading over $800 million in new developments in Colorado with notable projects in popular infill neighborhoods such as Uptown, West Highland, Sloan’s Lake, Cherry Creek and Boulder.

Responsible for all facets of the multifamily development process: land acquisition, LOI/PSA negotiation, due diligence, underwriting, investment committee presentations, equity and debt sourcing, and design and entitlement management. Continuing to execute on Lennar’s business plan of becoming a top multifamily developer in the Mountain States-Southwest markets through the acquisition and development of strategic suburban and urban infill opportunities.

James Mansfield is the Vice President and Managing Director of Pinnacle Real Estate Advisors. James is responsible for overseeing Pinnacle’s brokerage operations and driving Pinnacle’s strategic growth initiatives, recruiting talent and continuing to build an industry leading presence in Denver.

Prior to joining Pinnacle, James was the Senior Managing Director at Cushman and Wakefield of Colorado in a similar position overseeing the brokerage, property management and appraisal operations in Colorado. In addition to managing brokerage operations, James is a seasoned commercial real estate executive with more than thirty years of leasing, development and real estate sales experience, with national firms including Brookfield Properties, Opus Development and Grubb & Ellis.
