Russ began at CU in 2009 as the Director of Systems Development and Computing in IT Services. In July, 2011, he was appointed Assistant Vice Chancellor for IT Services before moving on to be Associate Vice Chancellor for OIT in 2013. Russ earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and master’s degree in business administration from the University of Florida. He views IT as not a focus, but a tool, a strategic business partner and a mechanism that helps the university maximize its promise of teaching, research and clinical excellence. From finding cures to tackling daily tasks, he firmly believes that technology makes our lives better and maximizes our potential. Russ is a lifelong student of leadership and couldn’t live without his running shoes—to him, they represent both clarity and freedom.

Kevin Taylor is MSU Denver's Chief Information Officer and Associate Vice President for Information Technology Services. Previously serving as both Interim CIO/AVP of ITS and Director of Application Services, Kevin originally joined ITS Application Services in October 2014, as Associate Director, because he was drawn to the University's urban location and its focus on student-centered education. Prior to coming to MSU Denver, Kevin served as the Director of Information Technology and CIO at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

Marin Stanek is the Assistant Vice Chancellor for IT, Deputy CIO and Director of Academic Technology for the University of Colorado Boulder, providing university-wide strategic leadership in the areas of academic technology, IT services and support, and IT infrastructure. Working closely with the Associate Vice Chancellor for IT and CIO, Marin leads the Office of Information Technology (OIT) in providing effective IT services and support to fulfill the research and academic mission of a R1 university surrounded by seven national labs. Focused on using IT to enhance connections and create communities, she utilizes her knowledge of IT and higher education to create solutions that support the success of faculty, students and staff.

Marin has led CU Boulder’s IT strategic planning efforts since 2002 and has a strong commitment to continuous improvement through use of analytics and metrics to enhance student success efforts. Her work significantly contributed to developing the campus-wide digital accessibility strategy, including policy, remediation efforts and ongoing services and support. She manages the daily operations of the Office of Information Technology and serves on a variety of executive and planning committees.

Marin has worked in higher education for 20 years and has a BA in Political Economics from Colorado College and a MA and PhD in Higher Education Administration and Leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has also worked at Colorado State University, University of Wisconsin-Madison and University of Wisconsin-Extension as well as holding positions in private industry at Newell Rubbermaid and Hauser Chemical.

Associate Vice Chancellor for IT and CIO Larry Levine joined the University of Colorado Boulder in October 2009. From September 2015 to June 2016 he also served as Interim Vice Chancellor for Infrastructure and Safety.

Since arriving at CU-Boulder, Dr. Levine has engaged the campus in strategic IT planning, formed a new IT governance structure, led the campus-wide digital accessibility initiative, reorganized the central IT organization to be more client focused, strengthened the use of IT in support of pedagogy, and created a faculty-led group to support Boulder’s research computing environment, providing state-of-the-art high performance computing and data management services. The Office of Information Technology (OIT) was the first campus organization to use Service Performance Excellence as a management model. Based on OIT’s success, that model has since been expanded, creating the campus-wide Office for Performance Improvement.

Prior to joining CU-Boulder, Dr. Levine was Associate Dean for IT and Chief Information Officer of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Harvard University 2005-2009. While at Harvard, he built a comprehensive IT environment and organization providing a full array of IT services to the faculty, students, and staff of Harvard’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences. That environment includes a world-class research computing organization that features a Top-100 supercomputer as part of a local grid and a doctoral level support staff.

At Dartmouth College Dr. Levine was the Associate Provost for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer (1991-2005), Director of Academic Computing (1988-1991), and Director of Social Science Computing (1984-1988). While at Dartmouth, he led a computing environment that includes one of the first campus-complete wireless networks which won the Educause 2004 Award for Networking Excellence and was a feature article in the October 2002 Wired magazine. Dr. Levine also brought Voice over IP (including mobile VoIP devices) and Video over IP (replacing coax) systems to Dartmouth by 2003.

Hsiao Chen has over 20 years of experience in building, investing, launching, acquiring and selling technology businesses. Past experiences include Corporate and Data Strategist for Paypal (Nasdaq: PYPL), Google (GOOG), Nintendo, private investment and boutique consulting firms. Chen co-founded and exited several startups and has participated in over $700M in mergers and acquisitions.

Todd Coleman is the President and CEO of eStruxture. Todd brings more than 25 years experience in the IT, data center and telecommunications industries. Most recently, Todd was the Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of Cologix. Todd has also held several senior positions at Level 3 Communications, a global telecommunications company, including Senior Vice President of Data Centers, Senior Vice President of Media Operations and President of Level 3 Communications Europe. Todd holds a juris doctorate and a bachelor's degree in computer information systems.

David Dunn is COO of H5 Data Centers. Mr. Dunn has nearly 15 years of experience managing significant growth and delivering outsized returns on investment in the Internet infrastructure space. Mr. Dunn most recently served as vice president at the Zayo Group where he was responsible for managing the wavelength and mobile infrastructure business units. Prior to Zayo, Mr. Dunn was senior vice president at CoreSite where he held leadership roles in mergers & acquisitions, leasing, marketing and strategy. Before joining CoreSite, Mr. Dunn held roles at several private equity firms including The Carlyle Group and J.E. Robert Companies. Mr. Dunn earned a B.S. in Finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Mike leads Flexential’s customer operations, construction, engineering and data center facility operations. He is responsible for delivering a compelling and consistent customer experience, from the time of installation and throughout the customer journey. Mike joined the company in 1999. Prior to joining Flexential, Michael was an audit manager with Arthur Anderson, LLP. Mike received a B.S. in Business Administration from Colorado State University and is certified as a public accountant (inactive) in the State of Colorado.

Jason C. Reed brings more than 20 years of real estate experience in complex global real estate transactions, law and management to Carter Validus. As Chief Acquisitions Officer and Senior Vice President, Data Center Investment Management, Mr. Reed provides the strategic vision to turn business goals into actionable plans with appropriate risk management. As acting Principal of Longview Real Estate Advisors, a full service advisory firm to the data center and telecommunications industry with a focus on mission critical real estate assets, he was responsible for the firm’s acquisitions, leasing and management strategy. Formerly the Senior Vice President, Global Real Estate at Equinix, Inc., Mr. Reed was accountable directly to the Chief Development Officer and Real Estate Committee of the Board of Directors for the allocation and investment of $2 billion annually across 22 countries and 44 metropolitan areas. Notably while at Equinix, Mr. Reed successfully implemented a global real estate administration program with coordination across several stakeholder groups including the regional Presidents, Tax, SEC accounting and Audit.

Prior to Equinix, Mr. Reed served in various roles at Level 3 Communications, most recently as Vice President, Global Real Estate and Facilities, where he was responsible for the strategic planning, investment and management of 23 million square feet of global real estate consisting of over 10,000 properties across North America, EMEA, and Latin America.

Mr. Reed received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, followed by earning his Juris Doctor and Master of Laws in Taxation at the University of Denver.

In just over a dozen years in the data center industry, Gabriel has established himself as a

leading business development executive with a deep understanding of the mission critical

industry who works tirelessly to assist Chirisa’s clients find creative and cost-effective solutions

to address a broad range of data center challenges.

Gabriel primary role is to seek out new relationships for the company while simultaneously

maintaining on-going relationships with an extensive network of current and past clients he built

over a career that began as a sales executive with DSA Encore where he eventually become

Regional Vice President in charge of Strategic Accounts; and continued in the years prior to

joining Chirisa as a Senior Business Development Executive for Focus Mission Critical Advisors

and a Principal with Alliance Data Center Advisors.

Over his career, Gabriel has taken the lead role in facilitating end-to-end development deals,

design-build construction and mission critical project management engagements, project

funding, the coordination of risk-assessments, property evaluations, data center migration and

decommissioning projects, as well as the establishment of data center maintenance and

operations programs.

Mr. Mason currently serves as the Project Executive for HPM Contracting, overseeing Federal Government and Energy Performance contracting in the Denver metropolitan area. His background in mechanical engineering and extensive experience in high-security government facilities and data centers, as well as experience managing the complete systems integration for classified government networks during post facility buildout brings the complete picture to construction phase of any high-tech facility. His extensive experience in high-reliability (Tier III) facilities (DHS Mt. Weather facility, WHS Raven Rock, WHMO Camp David, AND other classified locations in the metro D.C. area and USSTRATCOM HQ) has provided a diverse background in high-reliability system design and construction, providing owners with secondary viewpoints and different ideas for more streamlined approaches to complex facility needs.

Joe comes to T5 with almost 29 years of experience at UPS (United Parcel Service), where for the last 13 ½ years he was Senior Manager of Facilities at the Windward Data Center in Alpharetta GA, the first Tier IV data center in the world. In this capacity he oversaw the maintenance and operation of the System + System power and cooling infrastructure, uninterruptible and emergency power systems, fire protection systems, and management of the raised floor environment. At UPS, he led the effort to reduce energy consumption by 4 million kWh’s annually (15% reduction) without sacrificing availability, developed Critical Power Distribution electrical architecture and Rack Standardization that was adopted by UPS across both GA and NJ data centers, and replaced the uninterruptible power supply in a live data center.

Joe leads this training effort across the national portfolio. The T5FM Textbook includes in-depth Electrical, Mechanical, BMS/EPMS, and Raised Floor Management. Joe’s goal is to arm the Critical Facilities Technicians with site-specific knowledge, ensuring the operation of critical equipment is well understood. Certification and Recertifications are accomplished through recurring classroom sessions and testing.

As a Market Segment Director on Swanson Rink’s Mission Critical projects, Ryan Sims is responsible for managing the design process and coordinating with the Owner and construction team to help successfully deliver projects with no downtime to operations. Mr. Sims has a passion for the data center industry and helps work with clients to find solutions in challenging situations. He is a key team member for Swanson Rink, a Denver and Phoenix based consulting engineering firm providing design services across the US for mission critical companies.

Aleta Jeffress is the Chief Information Officer for the City of Aurora, Colorado. She has over 20 years' experience as an executive business leader and technologist, building relationships between business and technology to enable digital transformation and market growth. She drives innovative strategies for business and IT leadership, and has developed teams for cybersecurity and project management offices from the ground up.

Therese is based in the Company’s Denver office and leads EdgeCore’s day-to-day data center operations and customer-lifecycle activities, from lease execution and move in through expiration and move out, including space build out, on-going support, and incident management. Therese brings significant experience in designing strategy and leading execution and operation of end-to-end service-delivery and customer-support teams, systems, and processes. Therese joined EdgeCore following roles of progressive accountability at CoreSite Realty Corporation, most recently as Vice President supporting and leading the company’s activities around customer-lifecycle management for more than 1,200 customers and $500M+ in annualized revenue. Her responsibilities included a) on-boarding and capacity deployment, b) on-going support via self-service systems (portal management) and a team of Strategic Account Service Representatives, c) capacity and contract management, d) service-processes design and improvement, and e) incident engagement, remediation, and avoidance. Prior to CoreSite, Therese was a Dean’s Research Fellow at the University of Colorado Law School, where she authored and collaborated in authoring works related to cybersecurity, telecommunications, and technology. Therese holds a B.A. in International Business from The University of Texas at Austin and a J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law.

Jeff is responsible for global product management, customer experience, integrations, and certification compliance for EdgeConneX. Jeff brings over 20 years of combined data center and telecommunications experience to the company. Prior to joining EdgeConneX, Jeff spent 15 years with Level 3 Communications. His areas of focus were product development for transport & infrastructure services, continuous process improvement across service delivery & finance, and managing complex network offerings. Jeff earned his B.A. in Psychology from Metropolitan State University of Denver.

With over fifteen years of leadership, Christian has set the information technology vision and strategy for a number of organizations worldwide. He has managed large data center relocations, established new site presences domestically and internationally, and conducted business continuity planning and disaster recovery exercises. Currently, Christian serves at the executive level in overseeing data center services globally at Arrow Electronics, a $29 billion technology company. Christian also serves as a Director at Large for the AFCOM Denver “Rocky Mountain” region, working on professional development and education for business leaders. Christian regularly speaks at conferences about innovative and disruptive trends in cloud, converged, and data center areas. Prior to joining Arrow, Christian has served a number of information technology roles focusing on data centers for companies such as Hitachi Data Systems, TeleTech, and CSG International. His diverse background includes international business management, business process outsourcing, telecommunications, agriculture, and higher education.

Lily Yusupova is a technology industry professional, having spent the last 16 years assisting her customers in the full range of the data center life cycle. Currently, she is a Strategic Account Executive at Schneider Electric and is responsible for bringing together the full suite of Schneider Electric solutions to provide right-sized, cost-effective, risk-based, innovative data center solutions for Cloud, Colo, Edge, and Telecommunication customers. She has taken a strong interest in what is the Edge, the solutions we need to support the Edge, and is currently part of the OIX committee defining the Edge. Lily prides herself on taking a consultative approach to understand her customer’s capabilities and challenges and offering innovative solutions.

John Clune is CEO and Chief Strategist at Cavern Technologies. John originally joined the company as President and owner where he focused on building the company’s core competency of providing state-of-the-art data center solutions. Recently John transitioned to CEO and the lead strategic role. As CEO and Chief Strategist of Cavern, John believes in providing a high level of value to clients, through creating innovative solutions that maximize ROI. As John sets the vision for the company, he is dedicated to excellence at all levels of service to clients, not only for today’s needs, but as the industry evolves in the years to come.

Prior to joining Cavern, Mr. Clune was Vice President at Lockton, Atlanta – a Kansas City-based company known for providing midsize to large corporations with exceptional insurance and risk management solutions. During his tenure with Lockton, he earned his ARM (Associate in Risk Management). John’s background also includes experience in the Technology sector with the Thomson Financial Company, as they developed a Web-based research product targeted to the legal community.

Mr. Clune is a graduate of the University of Missouri with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He is a nationally recognized expert and speaker on mission critical infrastructure. He is also an avid golfer and licensed pilot.

Clint Harder is responsible for shaping OneNeck’s product development and technical strategy. His focus is on driving revenue by bringing new products and partnerships to market. Additionally, in his role as senior member of the business development team at OneNeck’s parent company, Telephone and Data Systems (TDS), Clint helps evaluate strategic partnership and acquisition opportunities.

In June 2011, Clint joined OneNeck as the vice president of Product Strategy. He was promoted to CTO in June 2013 and has held other senior roles during the company's evolution. He currently works out of the OneNeck office in Denver, Colorado.

Prior to joining OneNeck, Clint served as a consultant where he provided guidance to TDS Telecom and other companies on developing and growing their IT professional services strategies. He has extensive experience in waterfall and agile software development, manufacturing and IT process engineering and total IT project management services.

Clint holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of California-Berkeley and is an alumnus of the Boulder Outdoor Survival School.

Sean Khurana is President and Chief Operating Officer of Cavern Technologies. Sean oversees daily operations and ongoing development initiatives to maintain and expand Cavern’s position as a leading data center solutions provider. Sean is dedicated to leading innovation in the industry and providing customers with product and service offerings that are second to none.

Mr. Khurana has a strong background in leading major business initiatives for large startups and Fortune 500 firms. His expertise in building businesses around new products, technologies, and customer segments are valuable assets. Most recently, Khurana was Senior VP for Avatron Park, a mega startup theme park based in Atlanta, GA. Prior positions included VP, Product Marketing for Cablevision in New York, NY, and VP, Strategic Programs and Business Operations for Sprint-Nextel, in Overland Park, KS. Sean also served as Chief of Staff, reporting directly to the Sprint CEO.

Mr. Khurana holds an MBA in Strategic Management and Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He also has an MS in Civil/Environmental Engineering from North Carolina State University, and an MS in Physics, as well as a BS in Civil Engineering, from Birla Institute of Technology and Science. Sean is actively involved as a community leader, serving as a Board Member for the Johnson County Community College Foundation and earning recognition on the Kansas City Civic Council as a Kansas City Tomorrow Nominee.

Josh Henderson joined Ntirety in January 2021 with over 20 years of large-scale cloud and hosted Infrastructure, managed IT services, network, software development and consulting experience.

Prior to joining Ntirety, he served as CTO and COO for McLane Intelligent Solutions, CTO of Colo and Cloud at Zayo Group, and CTO for Clearview International. His experience across these roles includes high level IT strategy, technology lifecycle management, p&l management, operations, sales and full product life-cycle management in businesses ranging from startup to $2B+ in revenue.

Henderson is an Alumni of Baylor University. He resides in Austin.

Shawn Mills is a founding member of Green House Data and a technology entrepreneur. Under his leadership, Green House Data has undergone consistent expansion, growing from a single location to 9 cloud hosting, colocation, and hybrid IT data centers across the US. Shawn has spoken at industry events including Data Center World, the National Center for Super Computing Applications, Cloud Computing Expo, and Datacenter Dynamics, and been recognized by publications including Wired, Fortune, and Hemispheres. When he is not at Green House Data, Shawn is either in the Rockies with his family or with his surfboard searching for waves.

Jeff Moerdler is chair of the Haynes Boone Data Center and Digital Infrastructure Practice and a real estate partner in the New York office. He has more than 40 years’ experience in general commercial real estate law. Jeff’s real estate practice includes acquisitions, sales, development, leasing, and borrower’s side financing. Jeff also has a particular focus on real estate challenges facing communications, technology and energy companies, and represents property owners and telecom companies in telecom real estate matters, particularly in data center development, acquisitions, sales, leases, colocation agreements and service level agreements. His clients include both large national companies and smaller, local clients, and includes representation of landlords and tenants in all types of leases; counseling owners and developers in the acquisition, sale, joint venture, development, and renovation of property as well as sale-leaseback transactions; advising lenders and borrowers in commercial loans; and the representation of all parties in real estate litigation. He is actively involved in settling real estate, partnership, and inter-family disputes. He also represents many not-for-profit entities and is active in health care, senior living, and educational real estate.

During the past 35 years, Jeff has developed considerable experience in the intersection of real estate with communications, technology, and energy issues. He has extensive experience representing landlords, tenants, developers, and communications service providers in the leasing, purchase, sale, and financing of data centers, colocation facilities, radio and television broadcast antennas, distributed and in-building wireless systems, rooftop antennas, and fiber-optic transactions as well as the wiring of buildings for broadband communications access. Jeff has also negotiated thousands of data center leases, master services agreements, colocation agreements and service level agreements, rooftop and cellular antenna leases, inside wiring agreements, and antenna tower leases throughout the country – covering over 500 million square feet.

He has also devoted a considerable portion of his practice to power and energy issues related to real estate and other technology matters, including large solar and wind installations, battery storage facilities, and bulk power purchases.

Jeff is a frequent speaker on real estate, data center, and telecom topics around the country. He is Fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and on the faculty of the Advanced Commercial Leasing Institute. He regularly speaks as a panelist at data center, digital infrastructure and real estate conference around the United States. In addition, he is regularly quoted in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Bisnow, Commercial Property News, Real Estate Weekly, and other publications. He co-authored the first treatise chapter on telecom real law for Powell on Real Property in 1999.

Jeff has previously served in numerous governmental positions, including as a Commissioner of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, a member of the New York State Banking Board, a member of the New York State Financial Control Board, a member of the Departmental Disciplinary Committee of the Appellate Division of the First Department of the New York State Supreme Court, Assistant to the First Deputy Mayor of the City of New York, and assistant to the Deputy Borough President of the Borough of Manhattan. From 1981 to 1982, Jeff served as a law clerk to the Honorable Charles L. Brieant, US District Judge, and later Chief Judge, for the Southern District of New York.

Jeff is also an emergency medical technician on his local volunteer ambulance and President of his local chapter, as well as having served for 8 years on the Board of Trustees of the umbrella organization which is the largest volunteer ambulance service in the United States.
