Now, we’re amplifying this exciting destination with an expanded collection of entertainment and dining options anchored by NOVEL FlatIron Crossing by Crescent Communities, a new, five-story, 345-unit luxury multifamily residential community surrounding 2.5 acres of public amenity and event space. HiFi is designed for convenient, stylish living with unmatched walkability. The project broke ground in the summer of 2024, with phased openings set to begin in early 2027.

Larry is a career real estate professional with a passion for creating high-quality mixed-use neighborhoods that serve and enhance the lives of their tenants, residents and surrounding communities. Prior to joining Westside, Larry held positions with publicly traded and privately held homebuilders including Division President and General Counsel and served as a Principal of Colorado-based real estate investment firms which have developed projects throughout the Front Range. Larry received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Juris Doctor from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law, and is a member of the Colorado bar, and serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the Douglas County Community Foundation. Larry is happily married and is the very proud father of 2 daughters and one step-son. In his spare time he enjoys golf, yoga, cooking and traveling.

Mike has 30 years of successful experience developing and delivering institutional grade commercial properties predominantly in the Western United States. As a lead development executive, he has opened new market offices in Denver, Phoenix, Las Vegas and Southern California. The cornerstone of Mike's success is his ability to establish trust with clients and brokers and in his track record of delivering projects on time and on budget. With a strong construction background and extensive horizontal and vertical development expertise across multiple product types, Mike provides the insight, leadership and communication skills necessary to navigate through complicated transactions. His extensive list of successful project completions range from one-off single tenant build-to-suit facilities to large institutional grade industrial parks and Class A multi-building office developments.

Mike received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction from Northeast Louisiana University.

Mark Cermak

Mark is a Vice President with JLL in the Project and Development Services

Group based out of Denver, CO, with an extensive background in real estate

development and construction projects. Mark has extensive experience in

development of all types and sizes, with a knack for execution of logistically

challenging projects and working with difficult municipalities.

Mark spent the first portion of his career on the west coast working for a top-

ten general contractor. During that time, he was consistently promoted and

gained extensive experience working on many different types and sizes of

projects. During his tenure, he put together and led high performing teams

to execute projects with values varying from $500k all the way up to $350M+.

In 2017, Mark transitioned over to the real estate side of the industry and

began his career with JLL. He spent over three years working as the

Development Manager on a large, $250M renovation of an existing 650,000

GLA regional shopping center in Manhattan Beach, CA, while the shopping

center was fully operational. The project included three (3) new parking

structures, 60,000 SF of new retail spaces, and a complete façade upgrade /

redemise of the existing indoor mall. This project showcased Mark's strong

abilities to manage tight deadlines, extremely difficult logistics, and

concurrent design and construction phases, all while navigating challenging

community and municipality requirements. Mark also gained significant

entitlement experience working with challenging municipalities. He

relocated to Denver in 2020 and has continued working on development

projects in the Denver MSA, including the Limelight Boulder Hotel &

Conference Center. Mark’s experience includes hotels, high-end retail

shopping centers, soccer stadiums, health science laboratories, mixed-use

facilities, student housing, OSHPD-3 medical facilities, high-end acoustic

applications, airport retail, and airport food service.

Education and Affiliations

Mark earned his Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering and

Management at Purdue University. He is a member of the Urban Land

Institute and International Council of Shopping Centers.

Jessica Janes

Jessica Janes is a restaurant leasing specialist with over a decade of experience in the retail real estate and hospitality industries. At Macerich, she serves as Assistant Vice President of Restaurant Leasing, where she leads strategic restaurant leasing efforts across a premier portfolio. Throughout her career, Jessica has been instrumental in merchandising notable developments and redevelopments across the country, including the most recent redevelopment of Scottsdale Fashion Square. Her work includes bringing acclaimed restaurants such as Din Tai Fung, Catch, Élephante, and Teleferic Barcelona.

Before joining Macerich, Jessica worked with Emerging Concepts in Chicago, where she oversaw the national rollout of several notable restaurant groups. This experience honed her ability to scale concepts across diverse markets while maintaining brand integrity and adapting to local audiences.

Jessica has lived and worked both in Chicago and Los Angeles, building strong relationships across the national restaurant scene and gaining valuable experience in both hospitality and real estate. Now based in Denver, she brings a hospitality-first mindset and a global perspective to every project she touches.

She is a licensed real estate agent in California, Illinois, and Arizona and an active member of ICSC. Jessica graduated from Les Roches International School of Hotel Management in Crans Montana, Switzerland.

Ben Krasnow is the managing director for the southwest region of the Crescent Communities multifamily business. Most recently, Ben served as the vice president of Multifamily Development for McWhinney, a Denver-based Real Estate Development company. In this role, he managed the development of over 2,000 apartment homes in the Denver-area, as well as Austin, Portland, and Omaha. With 15 years of progressively complex experience in the multifamily real estate industry including the Bozzuto Group in Washington DC, Krasnow brings a wealth of knowledge to his new role at Crescent. Krasnow holds a master’s degree in real estate development from the University of Maryland.

Joe Vostrejs

One of the founders and principals of City Street Investors, Joe Vostrejs has been involved in real estate and restaurant development in Denver since 1985.

Joe and his partners have been investing in Denver neighborhoods for almost two decades, with a philosophy of choosing transformative projects that create both financial and social value – a practice he and his partners have dubbed “Custom Crafting”.

In City Street Investors, the partners have created a highly capable, real estate-based, investment, management and development group that primarily works on complex projects that require creative solutions and that conform to the group’s mission of creating places that genuinely improve the communities in which they exist. Through a series of creative partnerships, projects and innovative acquisitions, the group has built a portfolio that consists of more than twenty restaurant investments and partnerships as well as a collection of over twenty re-positioned retail and multi-family properties in Denver’s most desirable neighborhoods.

Joe is also a partner in Union Station Alliance, a dynamic multi-organizational group tasked with the redevelopment of Denver’s historic Union Station, which opened in July, 2014. Joe and his partners created the locally-oriented retail vision and strategy for the project as well as created and operate five new food & beverage concepts for the project: the Cooper Lounge, The Terminal Bar, Milk Box Ice Creamery, Pigtrain Coffee Company and Acme Burger and Brat Corporation.

Prior to City Street Investors Joe was the Chief Operating Officer of Larimer Associates, during which time he was responsible for the operation of Larimer Square as well as the company’s other significant real estate & restaurant holdings. Joe remains a partner in many of its investments.

Joe is designated as a Certified Retail Property Executive (CRX) by the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and as a Real Property Administrator by the Building Owners Management Association (BOMA).

He is the past Chairman of the Downtown Denver Partnership where he continues to serve on numerous councils. He also sits on the board of HLC @ Metro, Inc. and The Denver Architectural Foundation.

Chris Payne

Chris Payne has more than a decade of engineering, construction, development, and project management experience, spanning sectors such as commercial, residential, hospitality, mixed-use, and heavy civil. At Riverside Investment & Development, Chris serves as Senior Vice President and leads all operations in Colorado including development, design, construction, and completion of projects. Chris recently oversaw the development of 110 North Wacker Drive / Bank of America Tower, a 1.5 million RSF and 55-story Class A office building in downtown Chicago. In 2021 he relocated to his hometown of Denver to oversee the development of 1900 Lawrence, a 700,000 RSF and 30-story Class A office building in downtown Denver. Chris received Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Tim leads Outpost Partners, a Colorado development firm specializing in mixed-use town centers and transit-oriented communities. Tim laid the groundwork for his career via a degree in civil engineering and several years of structural engineering design experience. Transferring this experience to a career in real estate, Tim obtained an MBA from the University of Colorado Boulder then worked under macroeconomic guru Marcel Arsenault at Real Capital Solutions. In his current initiative, Outpost Partners aims to deliver value to communities by creating unique developments with a heavy focus on placemaking and artful design. Tim has served as a CU Real Estate Center International Advisory Board member and as a member for the Edgewater Redevelopment Authority.

Jeremy Atcheson

Bringing 15 years of construction experience—6 years in Turner’s Atlanta office and 9 years in Denver—Jeremy serves as Business Manager for Turner’s Denver office, providing overall leadership, business strategy and planning in the Front Range market. Most recently, Jeremy served as Business Development Manager and, prior to that, led the Special Projects Division. His construction experience spans multiple market segments, including commercial, multi-family, healthcare, higher education, government, sports, pharma, aviation, manufacturing, and aerospace.

Jeremy is a proven leader who is committed to identifying projects that will support and enrich the local community, deeply understanding client needs, and building project teams to bring their vision to reality.

Yvette Roman is the owner and founder of Ellipsis Construction, a licensed, women-owned commercial General Contractor based in Denver, CO. With over a decade of experience in commercial construction and a degree in civil engineering, Yvette has managed complex public and private projects in both Los Angeles, CA, and Denver, CO. Her company holds a Class A General Contractor License, allowing them to take on commercial projects of any scale across Colorado, with a current focus on Tenant Improvement projects.
