Jerome A. Fink is a co-founder & Managing Partner of The Bascom Group, LLC. Bascom

has completed over $12.0 billion in multi-family and commercial value-added

transactions since 1996 including more than 300 multifamily properties and 80,000

units. Bascom has ranked among the top 50 multifamily owners in the U.S. Bascom’s

subsidiaries and joint ventures include the Southern California Industrial Fund,

Rushmore Properties, Bascom Portfolio Advisors, Shubin Nadal Associates, Spirit Bascom

Ventures, REDA Bascom Ventures, MHF RM Holdings, Bascom Northwest Ventures,

Bascom Arizona Ventures, Harbor Associates, Village Partner Ventures, and the Realm

Group. Bascom’s subsidiaries also include Premier Business Centers, the largest

privately held executive suite company in the U.S.

Prior to founding Bascom, Mr. Fink acted as Senior Acquisitions and Sales Manager from

1991 to 1995 for Pacific Mutual Life Insurance Company. His responsibilities included

market assessment, property identification and negotiation, and the acquisition and

disposition of real estate investments.

Mr. Fink holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a

Master of Business Administration in Real Estate and Finance from the University of

Wisconsin-Madison. He is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Managements (IREM)

and Turnaround Management Association (TMA). Mr. Fink is a licensed real estate

broker in the state of California, a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), a

Certified Property Manager (CPM), a Certified Mergers & Acquisitions Advisor (CM&AA),

and a Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP). He has appeared as a guest speaker at

various functions, including those for the Urban Land Institute, University of California

Los Angeles and Irvine, University of Southern California, and other assorted industry

events. Mr. Fink previously served on the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin Real

Estate Alumni Association and is currently a member of the USC Lusk Center for Real

Estate Executive Committee.  He has previously served on the board for the Young

Presidents Organization (YPO) California Coast chapter and is currently a member of the

World Presidents Organization (WPO).

In 2004, Mr. Fink was awarded the Apartment Executive of the Year by the Real Estate

Conference Group, the industry's largest and most prestigious multifamily conference

on the West Coast, and was later awarded the Rising Star award by the University of

California Irvine Center for Real Estate in 2008. Mr. Fink was also recognized in the 2011

Multi-Family Executive Magazine. In 2016, Mr. Fink was awarded the Ernst & Young

Entrepreneur of the Year, Orange County.

Spencer Stuart, Jr. is a Regional Partner and Senior Managing Director at Legacy

Partners. He is responsible for acquisitions, dispositions, management, asset

management, new development and operations. He currently handles Legacy

Partners’ multifamily activities in Colorado and the far south states from Texas to

Florida. Mr. Stuart also serves as senior vice president of the KBS Legacy

Multifamily REIT, which owns a nationwide portfolio of apartments.

As a developer, Mr. Stuart has been responsible for creating award-winning

projects that have advanced the state-of- the-art of design, amenities and resident

services in multifamily properties. Among others, his projects have been awarded

the NAHB Pillars of the Industry Award, Multifamily Executive’s Project of the Year

Award, the HAB McSam Award, The Star Award and Gold Nugget Certificates of

Merit. In Austin, Legacy’s high-rise apartment project was the first of its kind to

achieve LEED certification.

He has a broad base of experience as an officer, director, general partner and

advisor to both public and private companies in such areas as real estate

development, investment, financing and syndication. Over his career he has been

involved in real estate transactions with an aggregate value in excess of $2.5

billion.

Mr. Stuart is a member of the Real Estate Financial Executives Association in

Dallas. He is also a full member of the Urban Land Institute and serves on its

Green Multifamily Product Council and previously served on NAHB’s Multifamily

Leadership Board. Mr. Stuart has been a speaker at the Urban Land Institute’s

national and regional conferences, MultiHousing World, the National Multifamily

Housing Council’s annual meeting the NAHB Pillars of the Industry Conferences,

Multifamily Executive’s Annual Conferences, the ULI’s Multifamily Trends

Conference, Crittenden’s Multifamily Conference and numerous other events.

Momentum Development

Momentum Development, LLC was formed in 2013 by Jeff and James (Jamie) Temple. The Temple brothers have over 20 years experience in the real estate industry, including the development of several master-planned communities and several multi-family projects. Momentum Development, LLC is focused primarily on apartment projects along the Front Range in Colorado, including a Transit Oriented Development site in Lakewood, Colorado called West Line Flats Apartments. This project will receive Energy Star Certification upon completion. Energy Star is a nationally recognized certification program. It was formulated by the U.S. Green Building Council and developed by the leaders of the building industry.

Jeff graduated from the University of Colorado and was an All American on the ski team. He co-founded Spyder skiwear in 1978 and ran the company until 1993. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and serves on the ULI Recreation Council. Jeff was the developer of MAYTAG MOUNTAIN RANCH in Westcliffe and managing partner and developer of MARABOU in Steamboat Springs. Jeff teamed with brother Jamie to develop WATER DANCE ON LAKE DILLON and STORM MOUNTAIN RANCH in Steamboat Springs.

Christopher Gillies currently holds the position of Vice President, Development in the Denver Region. Mr. Gillies has over 25 years of multifamily experience, which includes brokerage, asset management and development. Most recently, he was founder of Gillco Real Estate Services, a privately held firm that focuses on the management and development of multifamily properties in the Denver market. Prior to Gillco, Mr. Gillies was Senior Managing Director and Regional Partner for Legacy Partners, a west coast based multifamily development and management firm. During his tenure at Legacy, Mr. Gillies oversaw all operations of the Denver region, which included the management of over 3,000 apartment units as well as the development of new multifamily properties. Prior to Legacy, Mr. Gillies held senior management positions for several of the nation’s top development companies, including LNR Property Corporation, BRE Properties and JPI Development Partners. Collectively he has been involved in the acquisition, development, and management of over 4,500 apartment units along the Front Range and other western locales. Mr. Gillies is a member of the Apartment Association of Metro Denver and the National Board of Realtors, and holds graduate and undergraduate degrees from the University of Denver.

He founded Advantage Fitness Products in 1997 to meet the growing demand for consultative support of non-traditional wellness facilities beyond the larger health club chains. The company’s FitnessDesignGroup™ division serves as a specialized consultancy for early stage planning and design.

Green spearheads AFP’s commitment to improving communities through health and fitness. Green and AFP are designated partners of the California Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness & Sports. He is a frequent industry and public speaker on the subject of functional fitness facility design and operational strategies. Additionally, Green serves as an editorial advisor for numerous publications including Hotel Executive, Fitness Management, Resort & Recreation, and Shape Magazines. Green is a Director of The California State University, Northridge Foundation Board as well as a distinguished Board Member of Junior Achievement of Southern California. He is also an active member of Young Presidents Organization (YPO).

Tom Wanberg specializes in the sale of apartment communities. His primary focus is representing private capital apartment owners in Colorado.

Tom has spent more than 30 years serving clients as an Investment Services Specialist. Prior to joining Transwestern, Tom worked for Grubb & Ellis Company for 27 years. Through the years Tom has represented clients on a variety of investment properties, but his “sweet spot” has always been the sale of apartment properties. Tom has closed on 300 multifamily properties during his career, specializing in private capital transactions from 100 to 300 units in size.

Mr. Williams is a Senior Vice President with KeyBank Real Estate Capital Markets in Denver, Colorado. He currently heads the multifamily loan production team for the Central (Texas/Rocky Mountain) and Southeast Regions for KeyBank. He manages a team which is responsible for all multifamily loan production in this region, with an emphasis on agency lending (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA), as well as life company placement and CMBS. Mr. Williams has 15 years of diversified real estate banking experience, with over 8 years of experience at KeyBank. Prior to his current assignment, he was responsible all permanent multifamily loan production for KeyBank’s Rocky Mountain based clients. Mr. Williams began his career with KeyBank as a balance sheet banker based at the firm’s Cleveland, Ohio headquarters. Prior to joining KeyBank, Mr. Williams was with Realty Funding Group L.L.C., a Denver based real estate acquisition and investment banking company. He was also with Studley, Inc., a commercial real estate firm in New York and Denver where he worked with the Capital Markets Group. He was responsible for the negotiation and restructuring of over a million square feet of office space. Mr. Williams began his career in the early 1990’s as an Investment Banker, first with JP Morgan Chase and then Salomon Smith Barney in the San Francisco Bay Area. Mr. Williams studied Business Management at the University of Maryland and Real Estate Finance at New York University’s Stern School of Business.

As a Senior Vice President with Walker & Dunlop, Ralph Lowen originates permanent and construction financing for both market rate and affordable multifamily properties. Mr. Lowen is a multifamily finance specialist with an emphasis on FHA/HUD, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Lowen was a principal at Prudential Mortgage Capital Company where he was responsible for financing over 10,000 multifamily units and producing over $650 million in commercial real estate loans. Consistently a top producer, Mr. Lowen spent 11 years with Prudential and held the previous titles of director and associate.

A Colorado native, Mr. Lowen holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Business Administration from The University of Colorado at Boulder.

Matthew Joblon

Matt Joblon is a founding partner and serves as Chief Executive Officer for BMC Investments. Since

2010, BMC has acquired and managed over 8,000 multifamily units in metro Denver comprising an asset

value just over $1 billion. Also in that time span BMC has developed or is in the process of developing

over $500 million in projects, all in Cherry Creek. Some of the projects include market leaders such as

the Steele Creek luxury apartment project and the new Halcyon Hotel. Through those projects, BMC has

been instrumental in bringing world class retail and restaurant concepts to Cherry Creek including

Matsuhisa, Quality Italian, Le Bilboquet, Soul Cycle, CB2 and Departure. BMC currently has over 200

employees and is growing at a fast pace. Lastly, BMC has another $500 million in development projects

in the pipeline in Cherry Creek, Boulder and the Fitzsimmons Medical Campus, and is in the process of

sourcing thousands of multifamily units outside of Denver. Mr. Joblon received a B.B.A. in

Entrepreneurship and Real Estate Finance from Babson College and is on the Board of the Blue Sky Fund.

Penny Newton

Hunt Real Estate Capital

Penny Newton, Vice President, joined Hunt Mortgage Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hunt Companies, as a multifamily lender specializing in the origination of Freddie Mac Small Balance mortgages. Prior to joining Hunt, she spent seven years at Chase Commercial Term Lending/Washington Mutual as a multifamily and commercial real estate originator. She began her career in Denver in the early 1990s working in asset management for Resolution Trust Corporation contractors assisting with the workouts of commercial real estate loans. Later she moved into CMBS lending at Midland Loan Services in Kansas City, MO and then returned to Denver and worked at KeyBank as a Vice President assisting the bank’s lenders with the origination of CMBS loans. In the early 2000’s, Ms. Newton worked at GMAC Commercial Mortgage (now Berkadia) as a senior underwriter primarily focused on Freddie Mac and life insurance company programs. The Mississippi native earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration with aconcentration in Banking and Financing from the University of Mississippi.

Joseph E. (Joey) Lubinski is the co-leader of the firm's Insurance Company and Institutional Investments Team and a Fellow in the American College of Mortgage Attorneys. Mr. Lubinski counsels clients on a variety of complex real estate financing matters. He represents national and regional banks, life insurance companies, and private equity firms in the origination of permanent, construction and mezzanine loans of all sizes and also represents special servicers and other lenders in loan workouts and foreclosures. He co-authored the Colorado chapter of the state-by-state Foreclosure Law and Related Remedies guide published by the American Bar Association.

Mr. Lubinski also represents REITs, developers, and community development entities in the acquisition, sale, and development of mixed-use projects, multifamily complexes, and resort and hotel condominiums. He is the Chair of the Hotels, Timesharing and Common Interest Development Group of the ABA's Real Property Trust and Estate Section.

Along with Beverly Quail, Joey is the editor of Colorado Real Estate Forms and is a former editor of the real estate column for The Colorado Lawyer. He is a member of the Colorado Bar Association's Real Estate Section Council.
