Mr. Robert E. Buccini is a Co-founder and Principal of The Buccini/Pollin Group, Inc. and serves as its Co-President. He serves as Executive Director of Mid Atlantic Hotel Portfolio Investors LLC. Mr. Buccini leads The Buccini/Pollin Group general non-hotel real estate development activity. Prior to co-founding BPG, Mr. Buccini was an Assistant Vice President for real estate development at the New York City Economic Development Corporation (EDC). While at the EDC, his projects included the Times Square-Disney redevelopment project, Brooklyn’s Metro Tech, the city’s first information technology building, and the New York City Discovery Fund (a $50 million venture fund investing in New York City based technology companies). Prior to that engagement, Mr. Buccini was a Broker and Senior Analyst for Kenneth D. Laub & Company, a commercial real estate brokerage firm based in New York City. Mr. Buccini is Chairman of the Wilmington Housing Partnership, Director of The Rodel Foundation of Delaware, Treasurer of Opera Delaware and Chairman of Delaware State University’s Annual Campaign. Mr. Buccini received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University.

Kostas Kalogeropoulos

Kostas Kalogeropoulos serves as the CEO of TKo Hospitality and is a founding partner with Thom Harvey. Prior to TKo, Kostas worked with Meyer Jabara Hotels for 35 years and most recently served as Executive Vice President. He played an integral role in growing Meyer Jabara Hotels during his tenure with them. Over the years, Kostas has been instrumental in coaching and developing a tremendous amount of people, many of those he mentored are now general managers and senior executives of hotel companies today. Kostas has an array of skills and experience in operations, new development, asset management and franchisor relations.

Megan McGlinchey

Riverfront Development Corporation of Delaware

Megan M. McGlinchey is currently the Executive Director of the Riverfront

Development Corporation of Delaware (RDC). In this role, she guides the creation of strategies and objectives to fulfill the RDC’s mission of creating economic vitality along the Brandywine and Christina Rivers, while enhancing the environment, encouraging historic preservation and promoting public access.

Through targeted and leveraged investments, RDC creates employment and

residential development while promoting education, the arts, recreation and

tourism. Over the last 22 years, the RDC has spearheaded a one billion dollar

redevelopment project along the Christina River that has seen an economic and

environmental wasteland transformed into a thriving business, residential and

entertainment center. Ms. McGlinchey has been a member of the RDC team for

the last 20 years and has held various roles within the organization, most notably

as Director of Operations and Deputy Director.

Ms. McGlinchey holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the

University of Miami and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the

University of Delaware. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the

Delaware Zoological Society, the March of Dimes - Delaware Chapter, the Greater Wilmington Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Delaware Children’s Museum, and she is the Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Kalmar Nyckel Foundation. She is also the chairperson of the Governor’s Tourism Advisory Board. Ms. McGlinchey lives in Wilmington with her husband, Brian and daughter, Norah.

Guntram J. Weissenberger is president and CEO of the Westover Companies. Based out of King of

Prussia, PA, Westover is one of the fastest growing real estate companies in the mid-Atlantic region.

Currently Westover owns and manages 12,000 apartment units, 1 million square feet of commercial and

1 million square feet of retail space in the states of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland.

Westover has been active in the Delaware real estate market since 1999 and has become the largest

multifamily owner in the state. Guntram is currently a board member of the NAA and past president of

the Delaware Apartment Association.

Blaise Fletcher

Blaise Fletcher is an Executive Vice President with Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL)

in the greater Philadelphia region. He serves as the Market Lead for JLL’s

Wilmington, DE office which includes oversight over a team of four

brokerage professionals. Blaise has strong expertize throughout

Delaware and has successfully negotiated high profile transactions on

behalf of many of State’s largest employers.

During Blaise’s 12-year career in real estate, he has concentrated on

tenant consulting and agency leasing projects throughout the region. His

focus on long-term real estate strategies delivers flexibility, cost savings,

and increased efficiencies to his clients.

Blaise began his career in commercial real estate with The Staubach

Company in 2007 and moved into JLL’s Philadelphia office post-merger.

Prior to joining Staubach, Blaise worked the residential homebuilder Pulte

Homes. Blaise holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Economics and English

Literature from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. He is a

graduate of Archmere Academy in Claymont, Delaware. Blaise is the Broker of Record for JLL’s Delaware office and is also a licensed

salesperson in the state of Pennsylvania. His local affiliations include

membership in The Committee of 100 and the Delaware Commercial

Industrial Realty Council (CIRC).

University of Delaware

Dennis Assanis is the 28th President of the University of Delaware. He was elected to the position by the UD Board of Trustees on Nov. 18, 2015. He took office June 6, 2016, and was formally inaugurated Dec. 7, 2016.

Dr. Assanis is a distinguished educator with a wide range of academic leadership experience and a worldwide reputation as a scholar and expert in both fundamental and applied studies of internal combustion engines and energy systems.

Before coming to UD, Dr. Assanis served as provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at Stony Brook University and as vice president for Brookhaven National Laboratory Affairs. He previously taught and conducted research at the University of Michigan and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Born and raised in Athens, Greece, Dr. Assanis earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Engineering from Newcastle University in England (1980). At the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, he earned three Master’s Degrees: Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (1982), Mechanical Engineering (1982) and Management (1986). Also at MIT, he earned a Ph.D. in Power and Propulsion (1985).

Dr. Assanis and his wife, Eleni, have two adult sons, Nicholas and Dimitris​.
