Kyle Exline became Executive Director of The Clare in February 2014. With a bachelor’s degree in health care administration, Kyle began his career as Associate Administrator at The Heritage at Brentwood, a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Brentwood, Tennessee. He was promoted to Administrator and moved to Greenville, South Carolina, where he worked at Rolling Green Village, a CCRC managed by Life Care Services. In 2011, Kyle was promoted to Executive Director at Westminster Village Terre Haute in Terre Haute, Indiana. In his time at The Clare, Kyle has lead the community through major renovations and reaching 100% sold. The Clare now has 350 residents and 250 employees.

Kyle resides in the Wicker Park neighborhood in Chicago with his wife, Maria and son, Jack. They have a Lab mix named Berkeley and a Persian cat named Charlie. A bike enthusiast and avid runner, Kyle competes in the Chicago and Boston Marathons and other competitive sports. He also enjoys trying new restaurants, movies, traveling and comedy shows.

Michael is a Partner at Condor Partners, LLC. He is responsible for overseeing all of the firm’s Real Estate development activity.

Prior to joining Condor, Michael was a Development Partner at Centrum Partners LLC in Chicago. He was responsible for sourcing and developing “out of the box” and institutional level projects for Centrum. He developed over $200 million of real estate for the firm, including Hospitality, Industrial, Flex Office, and Residential. Prior to joining Centrum in early 2007, Michael founded and ran his family real estate development company in New York from 2000-2007. McLean Development, LLC focused on suburban master planned communities entitling over 2,000 residential units and 500,000sf of commercial space on Long Island and Rochester, NY. From 1998-2000 Michael and his brother Sean McLean founded and ran one of the first firms focused on Hospitality in Healthcare, helping hospitals convert vacant space to hotel and special service wards.

Michael holds a Master’s of Science from New York University with a focus on International Development and Finance and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Princeton University.

Ann McKenzie

Ann McKenzie is the Chief Development Officer for the Chicago Housing Authority. She has more than 20 years of experience developing affordable housing, including public housing.

Ms. McKenzie joined the CHA as Senior Director of the Rental Assistance Demonstration program in October 2015. Before joining CHA, Ms. McKenzie served as Director of Development for The Habitat Company where she focused on affordable real estate development with an emphasis on mixed-income public housing in both Chicago and Detroit. Before that, she worked for Bethel New Life where her interest in affordable housing was sparked.

Ms. McKenzie earned her bachelor of science degree in speech (with an emphasis in economics) from Northwestern University and her law degree from DePaul University College of Law. Ms. McKenzie is active in Chicago volunteer roles. She has held various volunteer roles including PTA president, Local School Council chair/vice chair and co-chaired a capital campaign to restore a Chicago-landmarked church.

With more than 30 years of real estate experience, Managing Director Mark Myers is responsible for the sale and disposition of seniors housing properties across the United States. Mr. Myers brings a wealth of expertise to the company and has consistently been one of the industry’s top brokers, receiving many prestigious awards. He was also inducted into the Midwest Real Estate Hall of Fame in 2012. Mr. Myers specializes in seniors housing properties of all types, including assisted living facilities, independent living facilities, freestanding memory care facilities, skilled nursing facilities, continuing care retirement communities, and age-restricted apartments.

Before joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Myers served as Executive Managing Director for Institutional Property Advisors (IPA), a division of Marcus & Millichap. There, he and his team closed over $8 billion of seniors housing transactions with 65,000 units across 46 states. The team represented institutional clients, private investors, seniors housing operators, government entities, faith-based and non-faith-based nonprofit entities, in the disposition of seniors housing facilities and portfolios nationwide.

Mr. Myers received a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Wheaton College in Illinois, and he earned his MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Business.

Summary of experience

Scott is a senior tax advisor in RSM’s Chicago-based national real estate industry practice focusing on consulting and compliance for a variety of real estate entities. With more than eight years of niche experience in the real estate private equity space, Scott provides comprehensive tax services to a large range of real estate owners. Clients include, but are not limited to, real estate investment trusts (REITs), opportunity funds, joint ventures and family offices.

Scott has significant experience in federal and state tax consulting, structuring and compliance for real estate clients, and regularly consults on matters such as REIT suitability analysis, state and foreign withholding considerations and tax-exempt investor (UBTI) issues including fractions rule structuring and compliance. Additionally, Scott advises clients on the acquisition, development, and disposition of various real estate projects across a range of product types (multi-family, commercial, industrial, senior living, etc.) and the representation of clients before the IRS and other state taxing agencies.
