Steven Levin is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Centennial. Mr. Levin is a 32-year veteran of the real estate industry with experience in investment, management and financing of commercial real estate.

Prior to the formation of Centennial in 1997, Mr. Levin served as Executive Vice President of Patriot American Corp., a real estate investment and management company. From 1987 through 1994, Mr. Levin was Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Hampton Real Estate Group, Inc., a national real estate investment, asset management and property management company with a portfolio of commercial properties in excess of $500 million. In 1982, Mr. Levin co-founded The Levin Companies, Inc., a Texas-based real estate investment and property management company. From 1977 to 1982, Mr. Levin was an owner of a women’s apparel retailer with 60 stores located in malls and community shopping centers throughout the Southwest. Mr. Levin began his career there as Chief Financial Officer and subsequently became President. From 1975 to 1977, he worked at Deloitte and Touche (formerly Touche Ross & Co.) in the auditing department.

Mr. Levin graduated in 1975 from the University of Southern California with a bachelor of science degree in business administration. He has been a licensed certified public accountant for 30 years. Mr. Levin is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and is a past member of the Urban Land Institute where he served on the Urban Development/Mixed-Use Council.

F. Scott Ball is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Chicago based Starwood Retail Partners (SRP). He directs all aspects of the company’s $6 billion operating platform comprised of regional malls and lifestyle centers throughout the United States. He has more than 25 years of real estate management and development experience in the commercial real estate industry, having guided the growth of retail portfolios of all sizes in the U.S. and abroad.

Prior to joining SRP, Scott served most recently as Senior Vice President, Retail at Oxford Properties Group where he led the team responsible for Oxford’s 9.5 million square foot Canadian retail portfolio, including all asset management, operations and leasing activities. Prior to that, he was CEO and partner for Blatteis & Schnur, a privately held development/ brokerage firm based in Los Angeles. He previously served as an Executive Vice President of Asset Management at The Mills and spent more than 20 years with The Rouse Company.

Ross Glickman

Mr. Glickman serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Capri Retail Advisors and oversees investment management, property management and consulting with respect to retail operating and development properties. Mr. Glickman has over 40 years of leadership experience in the real estate industry prior to joining Capri, most recently as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Urban Retail Properties, developing and managing a portfolio of 85 retail properties across 31 U.S. states, with a global presence in China, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan and Japan. Mr. Glickman holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The Ohio State University. He is a member of ICSC, a past trustee of the Illinois Economic Development Board, a trustee for the Illinois Economic Recovery Board, an Advisory Board member of the Paul Simon Institute at Southern Illinois University, and a member of the Executive Board of The Roosevelt University School of Real Estate.

Matthew Beverly

Matthew Beverly joined Retail Properties of America, Inc. in 2014 and currently serves as Senior Vice President, Director of Investments. In this role, Mr. Beverly is responsible for both acquisitions and dispositions in the Eastern Division. Mr. Beverly joins RPAI from General Growth Properties, Inc. (NYSE:GGP) where he served as the Vice President, Investments since 2008. At GGP, he closed over $3.0 billion of investment activity, which included the dispositions of non-core properties and the acquisitions of new shopping centers, urban retail properties, and joint venture ownership interests. Earlier in his career at GGP, Mr. Beverly helped lead the Company’s international investment activity and provided on-going asset management to GGP’s international holdings. Mr. Beverly currently serves as a Board member at Spectrum Inmobiliaria, a Guatemalan-based real estate company specializing in the development, acquisition and management of shopping malls in Central America and Colombia.

Mr. Beverly has a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign with an Masters of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with concentrations in Finance and Strategic Management.

David Pezza is a partner in the firm’s real estate group and is located in White & Case’s Chicago office. Mr. Pezza’s practice focuses on sophisticated real estate transactions, including the representation of private and institutional investors, and owners and developers in connection with the acquisition, disposition, development and financing of commercial real estate properties. He has also been involved in the negotiation and structuring of joint-venture agreements with respect to the various transactions he has been involved in.

Mr. Pezza’s experience includes a wide range of asset types, including mixed use projects, land for development, retail properties, office buildings and hospitality projects.

Michelle Panovich is one of the Senior Partners with primary responsibility as one of the operating partners of Mid-America Asset Management, Inc. Michelle has over 30 years of real estate construction, development and management experience, with the last 29 years concentrated in the shopping center industry. Ms. Panovich is responsible for development services, client coordination, construction management, receivership services, property management and accounting for all of the properties managed by Mid-America Asset Management.

At Mid-America, she has successfully provided the management and redevelopment of several major properties, such as Streets of Woodfield in Schaumburg, Illinois and Brickyard Mall in Chicago, Illinois, and the economic revitalization of downtown areas, such as the redevelopment of LaGrange, Illinois, as well as a mixed-use project in downtown Park Ridge. Her ability to develop excellent relationships with clients and tenants allow the implementation of meaningful action plans that result in bottom line success for Mid-America and the clients they serve. Mid-America Asset Management, Inc. has realized growth in excess of 500% over the last 12 years.

In Ms. Panovich’s earlier tenure with Erie Development from 1988 through 1990, as Vice President of Management she was responsible for the management and revitalization of distressed shopping centers. Prior to that, Ms. Panovich held a position in the Equity Properties Construction Management Division, responsible for the redevelopment of major properties. Most notably, she managed the redevelopment of Ford City Mall.

Ms. Panovich holds a Bachelor in Business from Davenport University of Business; an Associate Degree in Art from Grand Rapids Junior College, is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the Urban Land Institute (ULI), Women in Retail Leasing (WIRL) and a past President of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), Grand Rapids, Michigan. Ms. Panovich also serves on the Board of Directors of Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois, where she received the Lifetime Industry Achievement Award in 2013, the Goldie B. Wolfe Women Leaders in Real Estate Advisory Committee, the Marquette University Center for Real Estate Advisory Board-Curriculum Committee, and was the past President of the College of DuPage Foundation Board.

Nick Wibbenmeyer is Managing Director of Chicago, Minneapolis, and Colorado.

Previously, Nick was Senior Vice President and Senior Market Officer of Regency’s portfolio in the upper Midwest of the U.S.. He was responsible for 23 shopping centers, totaling over 3 million square feet in Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Northwest Indiana.

Nick joined Regency in 2005 as Manager of Investments for the upper Midwest. He became Vice President of Investments in 2007, Vice President and Regional Officer in 2008, and Senior Vice President and Senior Market Officer in 2014. He has been involved in the development and redevelopment of more than one million square feet of retail in the upper Midwest. He has developed shopping centers for tenants such as Whole Foods, Kohl’s, Menard’s, HomeGoods, DSW, Ross, and Mariano’s Fresh Market. He also oversaw the redevelopment of Chicago’s 30-year old Roscoe Square, which brought in the city’s first Mariano’s Fresh Market and became Regency’s first Silver LEED-certified redevelopment. Nick was recognized with the company’s highest honor, the martin E. Stein, Sr. Award in 2013, which recognizes employees’ business acumen and ethical standards.

Prior to Regency, Nick was a retail broker with Mid-America Real Estate Group, handling tenant representation and shopping center leasing throughout the Chicago metropolitan area.

Nick received his Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Notre Dame and is an avid fan of the Fighting Irish football team. Nick enjoys spending time with his family, as well as traveling and playing golf.

Ari Krigel is a Partner in the Real Estate Practice Group and a member of the Food Industry Team.

Ari concentrates his practice in the area of commercial real estate, with an emphasis on acquisitions, dispositions, conventional and public financing, leasing, workouts and development. His experience includes drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, loan agreements, mortgages, commercial leases, forbearance and deed-in-lieu of foreclosure agreements, easements and performing due diligence for real estate transactions. Ari has represented large institutional investors, national and regional lenders and mid-market real estate investment and development companies.

Prior to joining Freeborn, Ari was an Associate at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP.

REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS

Represented restaurant operator/developer in a 24 property sale/leaseback, and simultaneously closed $20,000,000 in loans secured by the assets of entities operating 63 fast food restaurants, including Taco Bell, Kentucky Fried Chicken, T.G.I. Friday’s, Blaze Pizza, Old Chicago and Long John Silver’s.

Represent real estate fund in the acquisition of $57,800,000 commercial office complex in Norfolk, Virginia.

Represented owner of 400+ unit multifamily development in the negotiations of a $31,000,000 refinancing and construction loan utilized for renovations and the buyout of a minority partner TIC interest.

Represented owner of hotel portfolio in connection with the sale of 15 hotels, including 10 fee properties and the assignment of 5 groundleases.

Represented developer in note purchase, deed-in-lieu of foreclosure, and the subsequent financing, including construction and mezzanine loans, and multifamily development.

Represented company in the acquisition of well-known Lincoln Park restaurant and bar, and the attached apartment buildings. Negotiated the asset and real estate purchase agreement, loan documents and lease, and guided client through the municipal approvals including obtaining the licenses and permits required to operate a restaurant and bar.

Represented a number of retail and commercial office landlords in the City of Chicago and locations throughout the county, and negotiated leases for retail stores, parking lots, and restaurants, and also commercial office leases for large downtown office towers and smaller regional properties.
