Donald I. Resnick focuses his practice in commercial real estate on a national and local basis. Clients seek his counsel on all types of real estate transactions, financing, leasing, development and construction and corporate real estate needs. He also has significant experience in real estate-related loan and equity restructuring and workouts. Mr. Resnick is Chair of the Firm’s Real Estate Practice, Co-Chair of the Firm’s Real Estate Securities Practice, and Co-Chair of its Real Estate Finance Litigation and Workout Task Force.

He was listed in Best Lawyers in America for real estate law, elected by his peers as an Illinois Super Lawyer in real estate transactions, and named a leading lawyer in real estate finance law and commercial real estate law in the Leading Lawyers Network survey of more than 52,000 Illinois lawyers. Mr. Resnick serves the firm as Co-Chair of the Business Services and Transaction Executive Committee and is a past member of the Management Committee. He has given seminars and written articles regarding various real estate issues including complex like-kind exchanges, real estate workouts and loan and equity restructures, dual agency for brokers and real estate contract negotiations. He has been a guest lecturer for the real estate program at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He is also a member of the Chicago Central Area Committee, a group of civic leaders dedicated to the economic development of Chicago's downtown community.

Janice Goldsmith joined Zeller Realty Group in 1989. As Principal, Goldsmith is responsible for overseeing all construction, development, redevelopment, physical due diligence, and tenant improvement work for the Zeller Realty Group portfolio.

While with Zeller, Goldsmith has been responsible for office building and high rise parking structure new construction, as well as redevelopment and re-tenanting of existing office buildings, retail facilities, parking, and a variety of other product types in a wide range of markets; in addition, she has provided consulting services for office, hotel, and residential new construction and redevelopment. Goldsmith is currently managing the $100 million redevelopment of The Wrigley Building into a retail/office complex, having negotiated construction and easement agreements with the City of Chicago, completed City of Chicago Landmark designation and Class L Property Tax Incentive approval, and is managing State and National Park Service approvals associated with Federal Historic Tax Credits.

Previously with Urban Investment and Development/JMB Realty Corporation, Goldsmith was responsible for construction on the 900 North Michigan Avenue project, a $450 million 2.7 million SF multi-use development on Michigan Avenue in Chicago which included a retail vertical mall and department store, Class A office, parking structure, Four Seasons Hotel; and luxury condominiums. Goldsmith was also involved in the construction of office buildings in Chicago, Hartford, Houston, Cleveland, as well as several pavilions and infrastructure at Epcot Center in Orlando. Prior to joining Urban/JMB, Goldsmith was with Romanek Golub & Company, a Chicago office building developer, and began her construction career with Turner Construction Company.

Goldsmith is an honors graduate from the University of Illinois-Chicago. She also completed advanced studies at the University of Chicago Masters of Business Administration program. She has been Vice-Chair of the Codes Committee for the Chicago Building Owners and Managers Association for several years and has worked closely with the City of Chicago in developing and implementing new building codes and departmental structuring and procedures.

Jon Runquist’s commitment to quality construction runs in his blood. He’s the fourth generation in his family to pursue a career in the construction industry. Jon received his degree in Construction Management from Michigan State University and has a range of experience managing industrial, commercial, retail and multi-unit residential projects. At Sonoma Construction, Jon is personally involved in each and every project, starting with the initial executive management overview of all project costs, construction methods and financial controls. He and his staff work together to hand select a team of subcontractors that will best meet a project’s individual needs. Once a project has begun, Jon will follow it every step of the way, delivering regular cost reports and updates until all deadlines are met to the client’s satisfaction.

Barry is part of the third generation of TMG ownership and brings more than 30 years of industry experience to his role as CEO of The Missner Group. As CEO he leads TMG’s real estate operations including investment and disposition strategy. During his career, Barry has facilitated the development of award-winning real estate valued at more than $500 million. Barry is an active NAIOP National Forum Member and is affiliated with the Association of Industrial Real Estate Brokers (AIRE).
