Mr. Pachucki is Founder and Principal of the IBT Group LLC, which focuses on creative urban

developments in metropolitan areas. Current projects include 1200 Fulton, a full-block creative

office, retail and entertainment complex in the West Fulton Market area of Chicago.

Mr. Pachucki is responsible for strategic management of all development activities for IBT Group

including pipeline, acquisition, financing, planning, leasing and project execution. He has over

30 years of real estate experience and has been involved in the development of over ten million

of square feet of office, residential and retail space throughout the country during his career.

Prior to the formation of the IBT Group, Mr. Pachucki started and oversaw retail development in

the Midwest for Opus Group of Companies, a family owned real estate company which was one

of the largest privately held real estate companies in the country.

Prior to OPUS he spent several years with Balcor as Vice president where he was responsible for

an extensive national portfolio of 2,000,000 square feet of commercial space and 60,000

residential units. An architect by training, Mr. Pachucki spent several years with at the time the

largest architectural firm in Wisconsin, Mochon, Schutte, Hackworthy & Juerisson, where he was

involved in various aspects of the design process for institutional and commercial buildings

including airports, schools and residential projects.

Mr. Pachucki graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Science in

Architecture and also completed graduate level studies at the University of Wisconsin Graduate

School of Architecture and Urban Planning.

Mark brings 20 years of industry experience to the Firm and is a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee. As Head of the North American Transactions platform, he is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the North American Transactions group. In addition, he is responsible for sourcing transactions and forming joint venture relationships. Mark is also a member of the Firm’s Environmental, Social and Governance Committee and a Sponsor of the Harrison Street Network of Women (HS NOW) affinity group.

Prior to joining Harrison Street, Mark was at Morgan Stanley within its Merchant Banking Real Estate Investing Group. While there, he sourced, underwrote and closed acquisition and joint venture opportunities in the US, Canada and Mexico for several of its funds. In this capacity, he analyzed potential acquisitions, development and redevelopment opportunities across the capital structure, property types and risk/return fund parameters.

Mark graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a BBA in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics as well as Finance, Investments Banking. He is a member of the University of Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association.

Jim Adox is the Executive Managing Director of Venture Investors Health Fund and is located in Ann

Arbor, Michigan. He joined Venture Investors in 2006 as a Managing Director and has 25 years of

venture capital experience.

Jim serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of HistoSonics, Inc. and serves on the Boards of

ViaLase, Inc. and Dvant Pharma Inc. He was previously Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tissue

Regeneration Systems (TRS), where he was a co-Founder and the Company’s first CEO (acquired by

Johnson & Johnson and Medtronic). He was a Board Observer of NeuMoDx, Inc. (acquired by

Qiagen) and of LenSx, Inc. (acquired by Alcon.)

Jim is the Vice-Chair on the University of Michigan’s College of Engineering Leadership Advisory

Board and is a member of the Innovation Partnerships National Advisory Board. Jim previously

served on the Board of the Michigan Venture Capital Association and was its Chairman from 2013-

2015.

Jim has a B S and M S in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA with High Distinction from the

University of Michigan. Jim is fluent in Spanish and is a competitive triathlete and five-time Ironman

finisher.

With over 30 years of industry experience and 3 million sq. ft. of life science projects completed, Jamie Prevost leads Skyline's Life Science practice area. Jamie leverages his expertise to assist clients during the due diligence process by providing strategic and collaborative preconstruction insight. Since the early 2000’s, Jamie has led the construction of 60+ labs and over a dozen adaptive re-use projects. During his leadership of San Diego based Prevost Construction, Jamie grew revenues from $10million to $100M before being acquired by Skyline Construction in 2022. With offices in San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago, and now San Diego, Jamie leverages established project teams and existing customer relationships to serve the surging demand for life science construction expertise. With his knowledge of the unique constraints associated with adaptive reuse and traditional life science tenant improvements, clients often lean on Jamie and his team for feasibility studies during the site selection process to provide reliable cost and scheduling information for major redevelopment efforts. With an emphasis on lean construction techniques and a partnership mindset, project teams under Jamie’s leadership deliver superior results with an emphasis on providing a best-in-class customer experience.

Justin Boberg is SM&W’s Global Security Discipline Leader and Chicago Office Director, overseeing SM&W’s worldwide security group as well as a multi-discipline team in Chicago consisting of acoustical, audiovisual, IT, security and medical equipment design consultants. Over two decades of security experience, Justin has managed projects involving master planning, threat assessment, risk analysis, systems planning and design, and implementation for a variety of project types, large & small. His people-first approach allows him to assess and evaluate physical security from an objective standpoint and tailor integrated, effective security solutions to the needs of each client. Justin’s proven track record in the identification and development of mitigation techniques has been honed by his holistic methodology of providing balanced solutions through architectural and operational recommendations to augment electronic measures in security program development and deployment.

Neil Pendleton is CBRE’s Head of U.S. Client Solutions, focused primarily on growing the Property Management line of business. In this role, he is responsible for leading and integrating several existing team under the Client Solutions umbrella. Collectively, the team will oversee the Property Management go-to-market positioning for existing clients, support national new business development and expand existing client relationships.

Neil joined CBRE in 1998 and previously served as Senior Managing Director of the downtown Chicago Investors Services business, focused primarily on Investor Leasing and Property Management for the Chicago market. In this role, he oversaw 61 million square feet of office, industrial and retail properties and 300 property personnel, as well as the downtown investor leasing team.

Prior to this role, he served as Senior Managing Director of the Project Management line of business, where he led the Local Project Management team operations business in the Midwest region, including Chicago, Detroit, Indianapolis, Milwaukee and Minneapolis markets. He also managed the group’s financial processes and workload, assisted in business development and worked with national leaders in developing training initiatives. Utilizing his education in design as well as his practical experience in both architecture and as a general contractor, this combination has proven a solid foundation for his 22-year career at CBRE.

healthcare ecosystem. As the Chief Executive Hansen guides the District during a time

of explosive growth and creativity, supporting a vibrant healthcare ecosystem that

includes four anchor medical institutions and more than 40 health-related facilities.

As a seasoned executive with over 20 years’ experience in academic, community and

national healthcare systems, Hansen brings extensive experience in strategy

development and execution, operational improvement and partnerships to the IMD.

Hansen has the proven ability to successfully analyze an organization's critical business

requirements, identify deficiencies and potential opportunities, and develop innovative

and cost-effective solutions for enhancing competitiveness and improving performance.

She moves easily from vision and strategy to implementation and follow-through,

building in project management, accountability and managing for daily improvement

Hansen developed expertise in planning and administering healthcare services across

Chicago land at UChicago Medicine, Loyola Health System, UI Health and Advocate

Health Care. Prior to joining the IMD, she was Managing Partner of The Red Penny

Group, advising national healthcare systems, medical groups and investors on growth,

integration, operations and strategic plans.

Hansen holds a Master of Health Administration and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology

from the University of South Carolina, and is trained in Lean Six Sigma, change

management and is a certified Patient Experience Professional. She is trained in Co-

Active Coaching and is a graduate of the Disney Institute for Healthcare Leadership.

Hansen is an active volunteer and advises emerging leaders and supports their career

growth in the Menttium corporate mentoring network. Hansen lives in west suburban La

Grange, where she serves on the community advisory council of Lyons Township High

School.

Michael T. Flavin is Special Advisor to the Executive Director of the Discovery Partners Institute

(DPI) at the University of Illinois. He has a 50% time appointment and has worked on the

development of the DPI since May of 2018, focusing on the commercialization of DPI R&D

science team technologies, building the ventures group at DPI and assisting with the real estate

aspects of the project.

Dr. Flavin is also Visiting Research Professor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine

where he is assisting faculty members in the College of Medicine with the discovery,

development and commercialization of new therapeutics and medical devices.

In addition, he has been Interim Director of UICentre for Drug Discovery and Visiting Research

Professor in the College of Pharmacy where he oversaw a team of researchers focused on

leveraging the drug discovery resources at the UIC campus toward the discovery and

development of potential new medicines.

He is also Managing Director of Flavin Ventures, an early stage venture creation firm focused on

creating, financing and developing biotechnology companies. Established in 2002, Flavin

Ventures has significant experience in the management of commercial R&D programs, product

development, commercialization and alliances, capital raising, legal and governmental affairs and

company management including start-up processes, M&A transactions and IPO financings.

Dr. Flavin has been CEO of Shamrock Structures, a drug discovery services company he founded

in 2003 to provide pharmaceutical researchers with access to technologies and expertise in

protein crystallography, medicinal chemistry and cell biology to accelerate their lead compound

discovery programs. Shamrock Structures’ technology-driven research services help

pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies accelerate the drug discovery process.

He has also been Chairman & CEO of Advanced Life Sciences, a biopharmaceutical company he

founded in 1999 and built to a team of 35 professionals focused on the development of new drugs

to fight infection, inflammation and cancer. Advanced Life Sciences completed a $35M IPO in

2005 with C.E.Unterberg, Towbin as the lead underwriter. During the IPO road show, Dr. Flavin

and his team conducted over 120 meetings with biotechnology mutual funds, hedge funds and

other investors in 16 cities in the U.S. and Europe. Subsequent to that, he led the team in

completing a $25M PIPE in 2006 and a $20M PIPE in 2007 with Lazard Capital Markets as the

placement agent after meeting with several biotechnology investor groups around the country.

These funds were used to advance drugs through clinical trials, including Restanza TM

(cethromycin), a novel once-a-day oral antibiotic in NDA-stage development for the treatment of

respiratory tract infections including pneumonia. As a public company CEO at Advanced Life

Sciences for six years, Dr. Flavin conducted quarterly conference calls with analysts and

investors and oversaw the filing of quarterly 10Q and annual 10K submissions to the SEC.

In 1987, Dr. Flavin founded MediChem Life Sciences. He established MediChem as a premier

drug discovery and development services company for the pharmaceutical industry. Over 14

years, MediChem grew from a two-person operation to more than 240 employees, serving over

90 clients in drug discovery, including most of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies and

many leading biotechnology firms. In 1999, Dr. Flavin and his team completed a $30M equity

and debt venture capital round led by Chase Capital Partners. In 2000, he oversaw the acquisition

and integration of ThermoGen, a protein expression company, and Emerald Biostructures, a

structural biology company, as MediChem subsidiaries. In 2000, MediChem completed a $54M

IPO with UBS as the lead underwriter. Dr. Flavin and his team conducted over 100 meetings

with biotechnology investment firms in the U.S. and Europe during the IPO road show. In 2001,

Dr. Flavin oversaw the construction of a 110,000 square foot laboratory and office building in

Woodridge, IL to house MediChem operations. As CEO of MediChem, he led the investor

relations effort, conducting conference calls with analysts and investors and submitting required

SEC filings. MediChem was acquired in 2002 by deCODE genetics (NASDAQ:DCGN) to build

a complete “gene map to drug” business model.

During his career as a public company CEO, Dr. Flavin made numerous presentations at investor

conferences such as the JP Morgan Conference, the UBS Life Sciences Conference and the

Lazard Capital Markets Life Sciences Conference on behalf of MediChem Life Sciences and

Advanced Life Sciences.

Dr. Flavin has 49 publications in scientific journals and 20 U.S. patents in the fields of organic

chemistry, medicinal chemistry and biochemistry. He has been awarded several grants from the

National Institutes of Health to further his research in anti-infective and anti-cancer drug

discovery.

Dr. Flavin is a frequent lecturer on topics related to scientific entrepreneurship at universities

such as the University of Notre Dame, the University of Chicago and the University of Illinois

Chicago.

He is the recipient of several awards, including the Alumnus of the Year Award in 2018 from the

University of Illinois College of Pharmacy, the Charles D. Hurd Lectureship at Northwestern

University, the Sr. Margaret Wright Graduate Award from the University of Illinois, the Chicago

Area Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame and the Year 2000 Illinois High Tech Award.

Dr. Flavin received his B.S. degree in chemistry from Notre Dame and his Ph.D. degree in

medicinal chemistry from University of Illinois Chicago. After completing his postdoctoral

fellowship at Harvard in synthetic organic chemistry, he was a Senior Research Scientist at

Baxter prior to founding MediChem.

Nina Dudnik is a scientist, entrepreneur, community builder, and impact-driven leader. As Founder and CEO of Seeding Labs, she made investments in research and university infrastructure in 34 countries from Colombia to Zimbabwe. Her experience encompasses corporate strategy and innovation, government affairs, business development, marketing and enterprise customer acquisition, international development, and genetic research. Nina has a PhD in molecular biology from Harvard University and was a Fulbright Scholar at the Africa Rice Center in Cote d’Ivoire. She has received numerous awards including the JFK New Frontier award, and was named one of the world’s 100 most influential people in biotechnology by Scientific American Worldview magazine in 2015. --

Grace Rappe leads the Chicago studio for HDR architecture. Her portfolio spans architecture and landscape architecture projects across retail, mixed-use, education, and civic sectors in both public and private contexts, including the Wrigley Field improvements—projects that reflect hometown pride and have helped shape Chicago and the surrounding region. She has a particular interest in how public-private partnership and interdisciplinary collaboration can help create meaningful spaces and experiences that often defy traditional building or landscape typologies. A long-time Chicago resident, Grace is active with both the local industry and the greater community. She has previously served on the board of directors for the Magnificent Mile Association, Chicago Gateway Green Association, and the Chicago Women in Architecture Foundation.

With more than 20 years of experience in development, design, engineering and construction, Jon Fayard has extensive expertise in all phases of Life Sciences, including R&D/discovery (incubator and startup), pre-clinical/clinical research, manufacturing, commercialization and post-market research. Fayard is a former COO and Certified Six Sigma Green Belt by the Quality Institute of America. He is well-versed in managing full scale project life cycle from his time on the Owner’s side to working for a developer and top tier brokerage firm, as well as a premier manufacturing company and in design-build construction.
