Event Host
City Hall
City Hall is a 15,000-square-foot gathering place serving up respectfully boisterous good times and zero red tape in Chicago’s West Loop. Part stunning event venue, part casual bar and restaurant—and home to what will be the neighborhood’s largest outdoor patio—City Hall does bar menus justice with eats by Chef Michael Taus and libations by Alec Pignotti. City Hall resides in a circa-1920 brick warehouse at 838 W. Kinzie St., renovated to highlight the building’s bow truss ceiling and other original details. City Hall is a project of Atomic Hospitality, the team behind such venues as Morgan MFG, Untitled Supper Club and Artifact Events.

Summary
1. After a strong past few years, reports by CBRE predict 2019 and 2020 could be even better for hotels nation wide. What is helping to drive such a strong performance from the hospitality industry?
2. Is there a risk of oversupply as over 2,000 new hotel rooms are set to hit the market in Chicago?
3. With Chicago hosting less citywide events than years prior, what can hotels do to keep occupancy rates up without lowering hotel room rates?
4. Chicago is home to 3 of the top 10 hotels in the U.S., O’Hare airport was confirmed the busiest airport in the country, and Chicago had over 57 million visitors in 2018. What has helped Chicago to become such a popular tourist destination?
5. How much does having a popular restaurant or bar help to drive room occupancy?
