Ms. Boneham oversees Barings' Central Region equity investment and management activities including acquisitions, joint ventures, asset management and dispositions. Barings maintains a multi-billion dollar real estate portfolio of all major product types with over 50 investments in the Central Region. Ms. Boneham also serves as Portfolio Manager for one of Barings' Separate Accounts. Prior to joining Barings in 2013, Ms. Boneham spent 16 years as a Portfolio Manager and Managing Director for Deutsche Asset and Wealth Management, formerly known as RREEF. In her time there, she was the lead Portfolio Manager for several public and corporate pension fund separate accounts, including the firm’s largest separate account with assets under management in excess of $1.5 billion. She also was President of RREEF America REIT, Inc., the company’s first private Real Estate Investment Trust, and other comingled funds during her tenure. Earlier in her career, she was at Equity Office Properties and Jones Lang LaSalle. Ms. Boneham earned an MBA from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and a BBA degree from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. She is active in a variety of professional and community associations, including Urban Land Institute, Pension Real Estate Association, Economic Club of Chicago, Commercial Real Estate Women, the Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association, and the Thoracic Oncology Council at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. She is also a member of Beta Gamma Sigma.

John Hofmann

John is the Regional Production Manager for the Great Lakes region and oversees the origination of

multifamily and commercial loans across the Midwest. In addition to his production responsibilities, John

has been active in the new production innovation for the Commercial Mortgage Group. Most recently,

John helped in developing CMG’s non-recourse “debt fund” programs. Prior to taking his role as the

team leader for the Midwest John oversaw the commercial production team from the Mid-Atlantic to the

West Coast.

Before joining Key, John worked at The Private Bank (CIBC) where he was a Managing Director. Prior

to The Private Bank, John was the Co-Head of the Nomura Credit and Capital Inc’s Chicago office,

responsible for sourcing CMBS and balance sheet loans throughout the Midwest. John started his career

at LaSalle Bank where he originated large loan and structured CMBS transactions.

John received his Bachelors of Science from Miami University and Masters in Business Administration

from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.

He is a member of the ICSC and Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA).

Christopher Kane

Christopher Kane is an Executive Director and is responsible for business development and origination. Based out of Chicago, Chris provides PACE financing nationwide for sustainability and resiliency projects to owners and operators of commercial real estate. With years of experience in commercial real estate and structured transactions and an owner-centric mindset, deals are easy to complete and economically accretive on every deal. Prior to joining HASRE, Mr. Kane originated structured real estate transactions (sale leasebacks, bifurcations, ground leases, credit tenant leases) as a broker in CBRE's Corporate Capital Markets group. Successfully blending business development, finance, tax, and accounting domains to produce excellent results for clients. Previous to that, Chris was a commercial real estate appraiser at CBRE, focused on consulting and valuation assignments involving energy, healthcare, and infrastructure-related property types.
