Dr. Patrick Carroll is the Chief Medical Officer/Divisional Vice President for Walgreen’s Healthcare

Clinics. In this role, Dr. Carroll oversees all matters pertaining to provision of care, clinical outcomes,

patient safety, healthcare information systems and strategic initiatives and programs that will enhance

the care model. In addition, Dr. Carroll is instrumental in implementing care management programs,

managing relationships with health systems and collaborating with the Clinical Office in the

development of enterprise clinical programs.

Prior to joining Walgreen’s in May 2015, Dr. Carroll served as the Chief Medical Officer of Integrated

Care Partners, Hartford HealthCare’s clinical integration organization. He was also the Medical Director

for Hartford HealthCare’s Medicare Shared Savings Program which currently has over 20,000 patients in

a Medicare/CMS shared-risk pilot program. He played a key role in leading the Hartford HealthCare’s

efforts in the transition to value-based care in a time of a rapidly changing healthcare landscape.

From 2010–2012, Dr. Carroll served as the Chief Medical Officer for the Granite Medical Group in

Quincy, Massachusetts. Granite Medical Group is a 40-provider Multispecialty/Primary Care Group

which is part of Atrius Health, a 1000 Medical Provider Group.

Dr. Carroll received his bachelor’s degree from the College of the Holy Cross and his medical degree

from Dartmouth Medical School. He completed his residency training at Middlesex Hospital in family

practice, where he served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Carroll is Board Certified in Family Practice and in Adolescent Medicine.

Karen Teitelbaum is the President/Chief Executive Officer at Sinai Health System, an urban, teaching

healthcare system comprised of four hospitals, an epidemiological research institute focusing on

healthcare disparities, a community institute with over 15 distinct programs, over 800 medical staff

members, and 3,600 employees. Focused on the delivery of high quality services in an efficient and cost

effective manner, Sinai Health System has achieved national recognition in quality while reducing costs

by millions of dollars due to greater efficiency and management of population health.

In addition to her current board service, Karen has served on the boards of the Metropolitan Chicago

Healthcare Council, Family Health Network, the Theraplay Institute, Academy of Managed Care

Pharmacy Foundation, and the Young Women’s Leadership Charter School. She was a member of the

American Hospital Association Task Force on Ensuring Access for Vulnerable Communities, has been a

member of the American Hospital Association Council on Maternal Fetal Health, and chaired the

Building Committee for a significant Federally Qualified Healthcare Center. She is a member of the

Economic Club of Chicago, The Chicago Network, and the Commercial Club of Chicago.

She was the 2018 recipient of the “Woman of Science” award from the Weizmann Institute, the

“Leadership in Healthcare Administration” from the National Medical Fellowship Association, and has

been named both one of “Crain’s Chicago Notable Women in Healthcare” and “130 Nonprofit Hospital

& Health System CEOs to Know” by Becker´s Hospital Review. Karen has taught graduate and

undergraduate courses in managed care and marketing/strategy for nonprofit organizations, and is a

frequently requested national speaker on healthcare delivery topics such as population health

management in an urban environment.

David Franek is a Partner in the Real Estate Practice Group. With more than 30 years in practice, David has extensive experience structuring and negotiating a variety of complex real estate transactions, including all aspects of commercial development, acquisition, and leasing. David’s practical and business-oriented approach results in lasting relationships and added value to clients. He applies his deep understanding of the retail, restaurant, and healthcare industries to each client’s unique business context. The clients he serves are engaged in retail, restaurant, office, healthcare, and mixed-use projects nationwide. David also represents national development and retail companies in the development, leasing, acquisition, and sale of numerous properties nationwide, including build-to-suit retail projects, lifestyle, and mixed-use shopping centers and office complexes. David’s work on behalf of his clients includes: Multi-state acquisitions and dispositions, Strategic expansion, Acquisition of operating companies, Long-term leases on behalf of both landlords and tenants, and Ground leases.

David has extensive experience in negotiating all types of complex retail transactions. He has represented developers, institutional owners, and the retailers themselves.

Mike leads the Real Estate Function for the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s

Hospital of Chicago. He is primarily engaged in strategy formation and

Transaction Management. In this role, significant collaboration with the

Leadership Team facilitates an understanding of the business plan which

informs the Real Estate Strategy. The implementation of that strategy is

achieved through various transactions which include acquisition of owned and

leased sites, development and disposition.

Mike's former role was the Regional Director of Real Estate for Trinity Health -

Illinois/Indiana Region consisting of five hospital campuses totaling 15M square

feet including Loyola University Medical Center and St. Joseph Regional Medical

Center (Mishawaka, IN). Mike led the real estate function which also included

90 off-site locations comprised of Ambulatory Care Centers and Timeshare

Leases. Key aspects of that role included building consensus across the

Leadership Team relative to business and real estate strategy and its correlating

implementation.

Prior to engaging in Healthcare Real Estate, Mike spent 16 years as a Managing

Director and Sr. Vice President with CBRE and Tramell Crow Company within

Corporate Services with a focus on leading Transaction Management and Real

Estate Strategy for large global clients including Microsoft and American

Express. With portfolios ranging from 11M to 40M square feet, Mike also led

large teams of up to 175 corporate service professionals engaged in all aspects

of Corporate Real Estate including Project and Facilities Management.

Erik Andersen has led design efforts on transformational projects for prominent academic medical centers and large healthcare systems across the U.S. and internationally. Erik shares his 30 years of expertise with the community through regular presentations to professional organizations. His work has been featured in Healthcare Design and Architectural Record. He has also leveraged his experience in the design of educational facilities, supporting medical education, allied health sciences, and research programs.

A member of Forum Studio’s Executive Leadership Team, Erik provides firm wide leadership and guidance in national and international healthcare work. He is also a sought-after speaker who has addressed a variety of industry organizations with wide-ranging topics that cover complex environmental issues to the future of planning and design. Erik led the design of the largest LEED Certified healthcare campus in the U.S.

Randy Guillot, FAIA, LEED AP is a design principal and leader in Gensler’s Health + Wellness practice. Randy’s design work leverages multidisciplinary partnerships and creates new models for healing, learning, and working. His portfolio of sculptural, exuberant, and site-specific architecture is celebrated for critical design success and enhancement of access to healthy, dignified, optimistic, and engaging environments for all. Randy is a Fellow in the American Institute of Architects, serves on the Urban Land Institute’s National Health Sciences Council and is a graduate of The Rhode Island School of Design with degrees in Fine Art and Architecture.

Ms. Ford is Director | Healthcare Project Management for CBRE. As a

healthcare team leader she assists regional healthcare institutions in

identifying means and methods of providing high quality healthcare

solutions. Ms. Ford is also the CBRE Global Knowledge Network practice

leader for healthcare. In this capacity her focus is on sharing best

practices and benchmarking information amongst her colleagues and

clients, based on CBRE’s global healthcare platform. Some of her clients

include; Presence Health System, Edward|Elmhurst Health System, Sinai

Health System, Cook County Health and Hospital’s System and Vein

Clinics of America.

Previously, she served as a Principal at a healthcare architectural, interior

design and engineering firm and prior to that was Director of Construction

and Planning for Northshore University Health System, where she

provided strategic leadership for master planning activities and managed

a large staff and over $400 million in construction initiatives during her 10

year tenure.

Ms. Ford is a certified facility manager (CFM), has a Bachelor of Science

degree from University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, and is currently a

member of IIDA, ASHE, HESNI and CHEF/ACHE.

As chief investment officer, Jesse Ostrow is responsible for shaping, managing and implementing RX Health and Science Trust’s investment strategies. Jesse has more than 20 years of experience in real estate private equity, investment banking and consulting, and was previously chief investment officer at MedProperties Group, a medical real estate investment, development and operating platform, where he led the firm's property acquisition process, and managed transactions including sourcing capital, closing debt, and executing sales and recapitalizations. Jesse's career in real estate private equity, investment banking and consulting has provided him with experience across property sectors and geographic markets. He founded a boutique real estate investment consulting firm where he served as a Managing Principal and previously was a principal at Equibase Capital Group, a provider of mezzanine debt, preferred equity and joint venture equity to real estate sponsors. He also worked in the Investment Structuring Group at Security Capital Research & Management (now a subsidiary of J.P. Morgan Asset Management), where he analyzed real estate securities investments for the firm's private institutional fund. Jesse began his career as an investment banking analyst in the Real Estate Group at A.G. Edwards & Sons.

Jesse earned a BBA with High Distinction from the University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Mark brings 20 years of industry experience to the Firm and is a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee. As Head of the North American Transactions platform, he is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the North American Transactions group. In addition, he is responsible for sourcing transactions and forming joint venture relationships. Mark is also a member of the Firm’s Environmental, Social and Governance Committee and a Sponsor of the Harrison Street Network of Women (HS NOW) affinity group.

Prior to joining Harrison Street, Mark was at Morgan Stanley within its Merchant Banking Real Estate Investing Group. While there, he sourced, underwrote and closed acquisition and joint venture opportunities in the US, Canada and Mexico for several of its funds. In this capacity, he analyzed potential acquisitions, development and redevelopment opportunities across the capital structure, property types and risk/return fund parameters.

Mark graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a BBA in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics as well as Finance, Investments Banking. He is a member of the University of Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association.

Joe leads investment strategy and policy at Remedy Medical Properties and oversees investments into new medical property acquisitions and developments. He focuses on the execution of creative and efficient transactions that provide the right financial solutions for our clients and partners, while achieving return objectives for our investors. Joe and his team are responsible for sourcing, structuring, and closing all investment and development transactions, and joint-venture relationships. Prior to joining Remedy, he served as Principal & Managing Director of Helios Companies, a real estate investment, construction management, and transaction advisory firm that he co-founded and grew to more than 90 professionals. During his 20+ year career, Joe has completed nearly $30 billion in real estate transactions, including leadership of Remedy’s $7.2 billion acquisition of the Welltower Outpatient Medical portfolio in 2025.

Mike Wilson is a Principal in the Chicago office of Avison Young. He focuses on capital markets advisory of industrial and medical office property owners throughout the Midwest. Mike has represented both institutional and private equity clients in investment property sales, as well as working with corporate clients in sale-leaseback transactions totaling over $1 Billion. His recent client list includes Centerpoint Properties, WP Carey, Rreef, HSA Commercial, DCT Industrial, Principal Investors and First Industrial among others. Prior to working with Avison Young, Mike helped to initiate the Capital Markets Group of Grubb & Ellis and before that was a top producer at another national investment brokerage firm. Having advised institutional clients on many significant transactions, Mike has been a finalist multiple years for NAIOP Chicago Investment Deal of the Year as well as NAIOP Investment Awards in other Midwest markets.

Mike attended Indiana University and earned a bachelor degree in Finance from the Kelly School of Business. During his tenure at Indiana, Mike was a member of the Indiana Hoosiers football team where he was selected to the Academic All Big-Ten Team. He is active in NAIOP, ULI, and the Chicago Real Estate Council. Mike is an advisory board member of the On Your Feet Foundation.
