Renee Lewis

Renee Lewis is a Principal and Managing Partner of Bloomfield Capital, a direct lender and investor in

middle market commercial real estate debt and equity throughout the country. Renee leads the

underwriting department at Bloomfield including debt and equity investment and debt purchases, and

she oversees asset management of the company’s portfolio.

She joined the firm through its merger with VAR Capital Advisors, a boutique real estate diligence and

advisory firm working with institutional lenders and investors, in 2017. Prior to founding VAR, Renee was

an MD at Hudson Realty Capital LLC for nearly 10 years where she led due diligence and asset

management, and spearheaded distressed debt acquisitions.

A graduate of Duke University, she is an acknowledged industry leader and has been named a “Woman

of Influence” by Real Estate New York three times. In addition, she is a commissioner at MaineHousing,

the state’s housing authority.

Alex Cathcart leads FCP’s Raleigh, NC office and specializes in the firm’s multifamily investments throughout the Southeast Region, including core, core-plus, and value-add acquisitions and dispositions, ground-up development and structured finance. Zach Wade has over 20 years of experience in commercial real estate investment and project leasing and has led the company in over $500 million of office acquisitions since joining MRP Realty in 2006. During this time, he also played a major role in MRP’s coworking affiliate company, MAKE Offices, where he served as CEO and treasurer until April 2020. Prior to joining MRP, Zach was Director of Acquisitions for the Mid-Atlantic region of NPV/Direct Invest, an operating partner of Lehman Brothers, and was directly responsible for the acquisition of office and warehouse properties valuing over $120 million. While at Trammell Crow Company, Zach leased over two million square feet of office space in Northern Virginia. He is an Executive Committee Member for the Washington Real Estate Group. Zach received a B.A. in Economics and Communications Studies from the University of North Carolina and a Master of Real Estate from Johns Hopkins University.

Alyson Craig

Implementing the Charlotte 2040 Comprehensive Plan

Alyson Craig currently serves as the Planning Director for the City of Charlotte,

overseeing department initiatives that includes Charlotte 2040 Comprehensive Plan

implementation, the Unified Development Ordinance, Regional Transportation Planning, long

range planning, land development permitting, historic districts, urban design, annexations and

the rezoning process. She also provides oversight to the City’s One Stop Shop initiative that

created a multi-department collaborative approach to land development permitting that

opened in 2020 as the CLT Development Center. Alyson previously served as the City’s Deputy

Planning Director since 2018.

Prior to joining the City of Charlotte, Alyson worked at UNC Charlotte as the Co-Director of the

Childress Klein Center for Real Estate and the Director of the Master of Science in Real Estate

(MSRE) program.  She taught classes in the MSRE program that included Site Planning and Real

Estate Development and took students abroad each summer to study real estate and land use

planning in countries across the world. Prior to joining the faculty at UNC Charlotte, Alyson

worked for Grubb Properties’ Investment team managing office, multi-family, and mixed-use

development and acquisition projects. Before moving to Charlotte in 2011, she was Vice

President of a planning and engineering firm in Florida working with clients on development

agreements and entitlements, rezonings, and annexations for large multi-use land development

projects.

Alyson has a Bachelor in Science in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill,

a Master of Science in Conservation Ecology and Sustainable Development, and a Master of

Science in Real Estate.

As Chief Development Officer, Travis Garland oversees the day-to-day business across all asset classes at Portman, playing a key role in shaping strategy, executing transactions, and driving the development of new and existing product types.

Previously, Travis served as Managing Director of Office at Portman, where he led transactions totaling over $4 billion in gross value, including leasing, operations, and dispositions. He is an active member of NAIOP and ULI. His achievements have earned him recognition as a NAIOP “Top Producer” in 2014 and 2018, as well as the #2 Producer in 2016, 2020, and 2021. He was also named one of Real Estate Forum’s 40 Under 40 in 2014 and has been recognized as a CoStar Power Broker from 2013 to 2021.

Travis holds a B.B.A. in real estate from the University of Georgia and is a licensed Broker in Georgia and North Carolina. He has been active in commercial real estate since 2005.

Rhea Greene

Partners’ accomplished team of office leasing professionals.

Rhea oversees a portfolio of some of the city’s most notable assets, including One South,

Carillon, Toringdon Office Park, Camp North End and LakePointe 3 and 5. She’s honored to

have worked with respected institutional owners like AIG, KBS, Starwood, DRA Advisors,

Atlanta Property Group, CapRidge, and Angelo Gordon. She’s hands-on with her teammates

and clients, overseeing all listing aspects from marketing, broker and prospect engagement,

strategic development, proposals and lease negotiation, tours, and more. Known for her

unmatched creative and strategic approach to the business, Rhea’s competitive nature, grit, and

Prior to her work for Trinity Partners, Rhea worked for regional developer, Lauth Property

Group, pursuing and underwriting various office and industrial development projects throughout

the Southeast. She was a four-year NCAA Division I volleyball player at Wofford College, where

she earned a BA in Intercultural Studies in Business.

Evan Taylor

Evan Taylor serves as a Senior Vice President for NFP’s Property &

Casualty Group where he is responsible for client relationships

throughout the southeast. Over his career, Evan has developed an

expertise in a number of insurance disciplines to include workers’

compensation, cyber liability insurance and alternative risk financing

for complex organizations. His client base primarily includes

manufacturing, construction and technology related businesses. He

currently holds the professional designations as a Certified

Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Certified Authority in Workers’

Compensation (CAWC) and received both the Business Insurance

2020 Break Out Award and Risk & Insurance Manufacturing Power

Broker Award in 2020.

Evan’s subject matter expertise is based in years of experience. He

began his career at the FBI, where he assisted in managing both

National Security and Criminal Cyber and Counterintelligence

investigations across North Carolina. Subsequently, Evan managed

several national programs for BB&T Bank and helped create the

bank’s national Emergency Management program.

Evan earned his BA from Wake Forest University and a MS in Leadership and Organizational Development from

Pfeiffer University. He currently resides in Charlotte, NC, with his wife and two daughters.

Donahue Peebles, III is the Executive Vice President of The Peebles Corporation and handles new

acquisitions and business development.

Mr. Peebles actively pursues public and private real estate transactions in for The Peebles Corporation’s

various markets, including South Florida, Washington, D.C.-metropolitan area and New York tri-state area.

In addition, he maintains substantial involvement in the pre-development phase, and is capable of

advancing projects through the development process through strategic partnerships, management and

community engagement.

In addition to his role, Mr. Peebles is the Deputy Chief Investment Officer of the Peebles Emerging

Developer Fund I – a $500 million investment fund for minority and women developers in markets that

include New York, Los Angeles and South Florida.

Mr. Peebles is the Owner and CEO of Legacy Real Estate Development, LLC a Residential Real Estate

Development firm that focuses on the development and acquisition of low-income housing projects in

South Florida, Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area and New York tri-state area.

Mr. Peebles takes an active role in The Peebles Corporation’s public image, participating in business and
