Why This Matters

What You'll Learn:

  • How do multifamily investors view starting projects in the short term given current market vacancy rates?

  • Given residential supply that has come to market, how are the next slate of projects being differentiated from existing product?

  • How is the current state of residential supply impacting project scope, unit layout, and other pre-development processes for multifamily development deals?

  • Which locations in the Charlotte metro area are primed for the next slate of development?

  • Which asset types are currently undersupplied and how is the development community acting upon imbalances?

  • What design and project program choices can help move the needle in leasing activity across asset types?

How You'll Do More Business:

The Queen City has continued to see tremendous real estate growth, with activity coming in abundance from both local names, as well as institutional capital and investors. The amount of supply that has come to market is presenting challenges in vacancy, inclusive of multifamily, which has been one of the main drivers of real estate development in recent years. This event will detail how leading market firms are balancing short term challenges, with long term fundamentals, to time and align their investments with broader market trends. The delivery surge in the metro area is certainly not limited to the residential arena, however. Particularly in hot pockets such as South End, retail and food & beverage space continues to be added to area supply. Industrial development has continued to surge, and while the office market has slowed in terms of new projects, there are continued  and renewed reasons for optimism. This event will additionally delve into the hottest areas for development, the next frontiers, the asset types that are currently underbuilt, and how the industry is aligning with tenant and consumer demand. Connect with, and hear more from industry leaders so that your firm can best align with market opportunity.
