Owner

Performance Point

Sam Galphin has a background in electrical engineering and 20 years of experience in single family and multi-family construction. Sam is an owner of Performance Point, LLC who is actively working on multi-family and single family projects from Maryland to Florida and the Midwest. To say it generally Performance Point specializes in building energy modeling and inspections. More specifically Sam's team of experienced modelers perform mechanical design, ENERGY STAR modeling, energy code compliance calculations, SEDI modeling, Utility Allowance reporting, RESChecks and COMChecks, and green consulting for programs like HERS, National Green Building Standard, or LEED. The field team at Performance Point conducts inspections for code and above code programs including services like duct leakage testing, envelope infiltration testing, and TAB services. One of Performance Point's hottest products right now is 3rd party "Sign Off" (AKA Quality Inspections or Fit and Finish) where Performance Point can represent the interests of a project owner with thorough and detailed inspection staff and a fresh method of results reporting and results tracking presented on a shareable real-time dashboard. Sam has rated thousands of homes and helped dozens of customers build a better product at a better value. With the perspective that a good leader leads by serving, Sam is always considering how to empower employees to achieve their potential. Sam is engaged with customers solving difficult problems, training field and sales staff, and looking at how technology can solve industry problems. A nerd at heart, Sam enjoys thoughtful design, "making" with CNC and 3D printing equipment, mountain biking, and beer.
