Tim joined SYNCO Properties in 1983 as a Senior VP. Over the course of his 30 years with the company he was promoted on several occasions, and in 2008 was appointed President & CEO.

Tim provides leadership and operational oversight for all of the company’s activities including property acquisition, financing, asset management, property management, rehabilitation, development, and disposition.

Prior to joining SYNCO, Tim was an officer with Spaulding & Slye Corporation and was a co-founder of Spectrum Properties in Charlotte.

Tim is an active leader within the multifamily industry. Having served on its Board since 2007, Tim currently serves as President of the Apartment Association of North Carolina (AANC) and is a past President of the Greater Charlotte Apartment Association (GCAA). He is also on the Advisory Board of the GCAA Education Foundation.

Tim earned a bachelor’s degree in German with a minor in economics from Davidson College, and an MBA degree with a specialization in real estate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a Business Foundation of North Carolina Fellow.

Lou Davis is the Director of Investments for Cortland Partners’ North Carolina portfolio, responsible for evaluating potential investments and managing the asset-level business plans across his regional portfolio. Lou brings over a decade of transactional commercial real estate, capital markets, and asset management experience to his role with Cortland's Investments team.

With more than a decade of experience in commercial real estate lending, Brett McGuire, senior vice president, is responsible for nationwide loan origination, based out of Walker & Dunlop’s office in Charlotte, NC. Mr. McGuire specializes in the origination of multifamily loans through Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA and Walker & Dunlop’s proprietary bridge loan execution. Mr. McGuire has significant experience structuring transactions for conventional multifamily housing, as well as dedicated student housing, manufactured housing and affordable housing.

Mr. McGuire joined Walker & Dunlop in 2003 in the Multifamily Finance underwriting department where he was responsible for underwriting over $800M in conventional and structured loan facility transactions. In 2007, Mr. McGuire joined the new loan origination group, and since that time, has been involved in over $1B of structured financings. Mr. McGuire was a loan officer at Wachovia Bank prior to joining Walker & Dunlop. Mr. McGuire is a Charlotte, NC native and graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Mr. McGuire has held the CCIM designation since 2007.

Marcie Williams is the President of RIVERGATE KW RESIDENTIAL and is the overall leader of all aspects of multifamily property management operations, new business development and strategy. She has over 20 years of multifamily experience from companies such as Greystar, Camden Property Trustand Summit Properties. Marcie is active in the community and holds several professional designations including Certified Apartment Manager (CAM®), Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor (CAPS) and Certified Property Manager (CPM®). Marcie is an active member of the Greater Charlotte Apartment Association (GCAA) and is the recipient of several industry awards from GCAA, including Manager of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Instructor of the Year and The Lex Marsh Award (Lifetime Achievement). She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Marcie is a member of IREM and ULI.

Joshua D. Northcutt is the Office Managing Partner of Tidwell Group's Atlanta offices. His more than 19 years of public accounting experience is primarily focused in real estate, yet also includes work in military housing, healthcare, entertainment and a variety of other industries.

Josh has extensive experience with public and private real estate companies, working with commercial and residential property owners and operators, real estate developers, homebuilders and land developers. Josh has specific experience with investment fund audits for several real estate and non-real estate clients.

Josh has most recently focused on the affordable housing industry along with HUD financed properties. He has become known as one of the leading experts in the HUD cost certification process throughout the United States. His experience has helped developers maneuver the potential pitfalls of HUD financed properties and has led to lenders referring him to most first time HUD developers.

As President & CEO of Northwood Ravin LLC, David manages the day-to-day operations of the company and works witht he senior management teams in establishing and implementing strategic goald and initiatives. Northwood Ravin concentrates on developing, constructing, and managing luxury for-rent and for-sale infill and mixed-use housing throughout the Southeast. David previously worked at Crosland for 14 years and served as President of Crossland Residential which operated a multi-family protfolio of over 48 communities with a market

Gary Cline, AIA is the President and Managing Principal of Cline Design Associates, an integrated architecture, planning and interiors firm with offices in Raleigh and Charlotte. Cline Design specializes in the design of multifamily and mixed use communities throughout the Southeast and celebrates their 30th Anniversary this year. The firm has received numerous design awards and features in national trade magazines for their work on affordable housing, market rate apartments, senior living and student housing of all types.
