John A. Nucci spent more than 20 years in public service before becoming a leading administrator at Suffolk University, where he is senior vice president of External Affairs. In this role he has brought about a complete change in the footprint of the downtown University and worked closely with community groups and the city on new campus development projects. Including a residence hall at 10 West St., the restoration of the historic Modern Theatre, a flagship academic building at 20 Somerset Street, and most recently working on approval for the One Court Street Residence Hall (formerly known as the Ames Hotel).

Nucci first joined Suffolk University in 1992 as an instructor of Public Management in the Sawyer Business School, sharing the knowledge gained from his extensive government experience with students in the classroom and taking on administrative tasks. He was named a Vice President of the University in 2006, and Senior Vice President of External Affairs in 2014.

Nucci, a lifelong resident of East Boston, served six years on the Boston School Committee, including four years as President. Nucci went on to serve two terms as Boston City Councilor At-Large, elected citywide and was elected to two terms as Clerk-Magistrate of the Suffolk County Criminal Superior Court.

Nucci received a BAS in 1974 from Boston College and an MPA in 1979 from Suffolk University, where he was inducted into Pi Alpha Alpha, the National Honor Society for Public Administrators. He is a 1970 graduate of Boston Latin School.

His many community affiliations include serving as a member of the Board of Directors of Massachusetts Port Authority (MASSPORT), where he serves as a member of the Real Estate and Strategic Initiatives Committee.

Mr. Cummings joined Bain Capital in 2018 as the leader of Bain Capital Real Estate’s founding team. Prior to joining Bain Capital, Mr. Cummings was Managing Director and Head of Harvard Management Company’s (HMC) Real Estate Investment Group where he was responsible for investment strategy and management of the endowment’s $6 billion real estate portfolio, and was a member of the Executive and Investment Committees.

Prior to joining HMC, from 2007 to 2009, Mr. Cummings was a Founder and Managing Director of Matapeake Partners LLC, an international real estate investment management and development company headquartered in Washington, D.C. Prior to that, from 2001 through 2007, Mr. Cummings served as Senior Advisor and Managing Director of the Carlyle Group, where he established Carlyle’s international real estate business, and was a member of the Investment Committee for Carlyle’s opportunistic real estate funds in Europe and Asia. From 1979 until 2000, Mr. Cummings was a leading executive of LaSalle Investment Management (“LIM”) and its parent, Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated, where he was Co-CEO and CIO of LIM, and an original member of the Board of Directors of LaSalle Partners and subsequently Jones Lang LaSalle (“JLL” on the NYSE).

Mr. Cummings received his MBA from University of Chicago and graduated from Dartmouth College with Distinction in Economics.

Sarah Gallop is Director of Government and Community Relations at MIT. She loves the Cambridge community and tries to bring a caring and collaborative problem-solving approach to her interactions with residents, public officials, and advocacy groups. Before joining MIT, Sarah worked for the City of Boston in various planning and development roles. Sarah received her BA in Political Science from Bates College and her MBA in Organizational Behavior from Boston University.

John provides institutional direction and leadership for physical plant and business activities including: integrated facilities and capital planning, construction projects, renovations, maintenance operations, enterprise risk management, auxiliary services, purchasing, environmental health and safety, including regulatory compliance, administration of real estate holdings, cost-saving initiatives, business-consortial relationships, procurement card program and Conference and Event Services.

Jonathan Greeley is the Director of Development Review for the Boston Redevelopment Authority. In this role, he oversees all real estate and development projects within the City of Boston. Jonathan has significant experience with public engagement and neighborhood revitalization activities in complex urban environments. Since first joining the BRA as an intern in 2005, his work has included the implementation of the Roxbury Strategic Master Plan, the reinvigoration of Downtown Crossing, conceptualization of air rights development along the Massachusetts Turnpike, and long-term planning for the Fenway neighborhood. Most recently, he has helped to launch Imagine Boston 2030. Jonathan, who resides in the Back Bay, holds a B.A. from St. Anselm College and an M.A in Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning from Tufts University. He received his AICP certification from the American Planning Association in 2014.

Joe Albanese is the founder and CEO of Commodore Builders, a 17-year old $400 million construction management firm located in Waltham, Massachusetts. Each of the 170 employees focuses on elevating the experience for clients within the academic and institutional markets as well as in the company’s other client sectors: tenant interiors, commercial, and life sciences.

In the September of 2018, following the Massachusetts Merrimack Valley gas explosions, Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker appointed Joe as the Commonwealth’s Chief Recovery Officer and charged him with taking over the entire recovery effort. Joe took a 3 month leave of absence from Commodore Builders and led the effort to replace 45 miles of gas pipeline, recertify 13 miles of pipeline, and restore power to more than 10,500 residences, community and municipal buildings, schools, and businesses, building a team of more than 5,000 people and putting more than $750 million of work in place in less than 12 weeks.

As a U.S. Navy Officer, Joe mobilized to the Middle East in 2007 for 10 months of military service. He reported to the Commander of the 22nd Naval Construction Regiment (FWD). In that role, he led more than 2200 Navy Seabees throughout Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Bahrain, and The Horn of Africa. He retired as a Captain, U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps in September 2009, after 28 years of military service. His numerous military awards include the Legion of Merit award and the Meritorious Service Medal.

With deep roots and strong ties to the A/E/C industry, Joe is a frequent speaker at industry conferences. He is the immediate past Chair of the Board of Directors of the Associated General Contractors of Massachusetts, and he is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors for Leading Cities. He is also an advisor for the UMass Lowell Francis College of Engineering, and an Overseer for the Boston Architectural College. Joe also makes time to mentor young leaders, visiting classes at local colleges and universities. And lastly, his efforts as immediate past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the New England Center and Home for Veterans reflect his commitment to veterans, many of whom find his work to be an inspiration.

His primary focus at CUBE 3: architectural design and oversight of the studio teams. With extensive experience in base building and interior design for healthcare, commercial developers, and residences, Brian has seen and done it all. In the course of doing it all, he has amassed a wide range of skills, expertise and insight. On top of that, his abilities in design, production, and management of complex, time-sensitive projects have been critical to the firm’s rapid success. Brian has helped build almost every kind of building, a solid reputation and a great place to work all in just a few years’ time.

Richard Marks is the founder and principal owner of Daedalus Projects, Inc., a construction consulting company based in Boston. Richard has overseen more than $1 billion in public and private construction across the Northeast as an Owner's Project Manager. After graduating from Harvard University, Richard worked for Hanscomb Associates, where he ran the Cambridge office. As Principal with Daedalus Projects, he has overseen major new Student Residences at Westfield State, Worcester State and the award winning “Treehouse” at Mass College of Art. His expertise also includes a variety of campus infrastructure improvements, renovation, and capital construction projects including academic buildings, athletics facilities, visual and performing arts facilities, a campus energy plant and administrative offices. Richard’s approach to successful projects is based on building strong partnerships within project teams and providing detailed oversight of cost and quality. Richard also serves on the Board of Directors for College Ready Now, a non-profit organization that raises scholarship funds for first generation college students.

Thomas P. Glynn, Ph.D. is the Chief Executive Officer of the Harvard Allston Land Company, overseeing Harvard University’s non-institutional development of its Enterprise Research Campus in Allston. He reports to a Board chaired by Nitin Nohria, the Dean of the Harvard Business School.

Previously Glynn was Chief Executive Officer of the Massachusetts Port Authority from 2012 to 2018. In this role he oversaw the 1,300-person agency with an $800 million budget that owns and operates Boston Logan International Airport, the public container and cruise terminals in the Port of Boston, Hanscom Field, Worcester Regional Airport and real estate holdings in South Boston, East Boston and Charlestown.

Prior to joining Massport, Glynn was Chief Operating Officer of Partners HealthCare System, the Commonwealth’s largest network of teaching hospitals and neighborhood health centers, affiliated with Harvard Medical School. His previous roles included General Manager of the MBTA, Deputy Secretary of Labor in the Clinton Administration and Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration at Brown University.

Glynn is a fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration and a former board member of the Council for Excellence in Government. A former lecturer at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, Glynn earned a B.A. in Economics from Tufts University and a Ph.D. from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University, where he also served as a trustee.

Glynn served as a member of the Harvard Corporation Committee on Facilities and Capital Planning from 2011 to 2017 and on the Board of Directors of the John Hancock Financial Services Company from 2001 to 2004.

Marika Reuling is the Managing Director for Allston Initiatives at Harvard University where she oversees the team focused on planning, development and placemaking strategy in Allston. Allston Initiatives ideates, experiments, evaluates and recommends new approaches to neighborhood-building and urban planning in order to strengthen the connections between places, experiences and people, and to bring transformational change to both the campus and the community.

Marika’s professional background in consulting, higher education, real estate, entrepreneurship, public affairs and communications in both the corporate and non-profit sectors provides expertise in strategic planning, neighborhood transformation, mixed-use development, and placemaking.

Prior to her role as Managing Director, Marika served as Chief of Staff to Harvard University’s Executive Vice President. She has also served as Project Manager for the Allston Work Team at Harvard University; as Account Supervisor at Solomon McCown; and as Senior Director for Community Relations at O’Neill and Associates.

In addition to her work at Harvard University, Marika is a principal at Reuling Vineyard, a premier pinot noir and chardonnay producer located on California’s Sonoma Coast. She is an advocate for neo-natal and maternal health, and sits on the NICU Family Advisory Council at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, among other board memberships. She is a frequent speaker and has been featured in Time, Newsweek and other publications.

Marika was named a Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce Emerging Leader in 2015, and was part of the team of female real estate professionals conferred the Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Achievement Award for Networking in 2015. She is a graduate of Boston College, and lives in Duxbury, Massachusetts with her husband and son.

Trisha Filippone is Vice President of Business Development and Client Services for Education. She works closely with regional and national leadership to develop client relations and implement growth strategy for the company’s Northeast Region, specializing in public and private K-12 education, as well as higher education, with a focus on Public Private Partnership delivery. She has spent the last 13 years in higher education, at institutions including Harvard, MIT and UMass, and over 32 years working on developing, financing, and constructing nearly $10 billion of assets in Massachusetts. She is a recognized leader in the industry and a Subject Matter Expert on Public Private Partnerships.

Prior to joining Suffolk, she served in various positions at the University of Massachusetts including Executive Director of the University of Massachusetts Building Authority (UMBA).

As Executive Director, Filippone oversaw an ambitious $3.1 billion growth plan that includes the building and renovation of academic and research buildings, dormitories, and athletic facilities on all five UMass campuses. She was involved in numerous capital projects to improve teaching, learning and student life. Filippone joined UMBA in 2012 as CFO and assistant secretary-treasurer. As CFO, she managed all aspects of finance, including controller, treasury, risk management, business systems, and capital planning.

In addition she served in various positions at The Broad Institute, including CFO and assistant treasurer, senior financial officer and controller. Previously, she was director of Allston Finance at Harvard University and 12 years at the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority. Filippone is a member of the Massachusetts’s Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Treasurer’s Club of Boston, Financial Executives International, Boston Women in Public Finance, Professional Women in Construction, and the Society for College and University Planning.

Richard Walsh is President and CEO of Walsh Brothers, Incorporated, a fourth- generation, family-owned construction management company. A graduate of Dartmouth College, Richard resides in Hingham, Massachusetts.

As Director of Higher Education at SGA, Jacob leads all projects in the institutional market sector. These include projects in student life, student residences, classroom facilities, faculty and administrative spaces, student health and wellness and lifestyle centers. Passionate about sustainability, Jacob is leading the design of the first two passive house residence halls in Massachusetts – Wheaton College’s Lower Campus Dormitory and Williams College’s Garfield House - as well as a number of other projects including, adaptive reuse, technology in design, high performance buildings and corporate lifestyle trends.
