C. A. Webb designs and builds platforms that enable communities to thrive. At her core, C.A. is a creator. She has co-founded a foundation (Trinity Boston Foundation), launched a venture capital fund (Underscore), and has built numerous tech and consumer products at companies including Whole Foods Market, Preserve, Care.com, the New England Venture Capital Association, and Fast Company magazine. C.A.'s passions include urban living, public transit, social and economic equity, food, and her two young daughters. She is a graduate of Wellesley College and serves on the boards of The Boston Foundation, the Alliance for Business Leadership, T4MA, and MassRobotics. C.A. has been named "one of the 100 Most Influential People in Boston" by Boston Magazine and an "Innovation All Star" by the Boston Business Journal.

C.A. and her team at the Kendall Square Association create systems, products, and campaigns to drive connectivity, learning, and social impact for the world's epicenter for innovation.

Ms. Peck has the corporate title of Vice President and is the head of AEW’s Architecture &

Engineering group. She manages the small group of architects and engineers who oversee all

physical, environmental and sustainability assessments for real assets during due diligence,

disposition, the set hold period and new developments. Her group performs property

inspections on potential investments for all commercial property types. Ms. Peck’s team is

responsible for the review and analysis of energy audits and LEED gap analysis with respect to

acquisitions and oversee the scope and results of third-party due diligence reports on

property acquisitions. Her team is responsible for overseeing the construction of new

development projects from AEW’s initial involvement through closeout and warranty

completion as well as assisting asset managers with large capital improvement projects and

physical problems at properties. Independently, Ms. Peck provides leadership for AEW’s

Sustainability initiatives by co-chairing their “E” (Environmental) Committee and providing

guidance and assistance with most sustainability initiatives with the objective of reducing

energy and water consumption, improving the health and wellness of our indoor spaces,

increasing the resilience of AEW’s assets, and decreasing greenhouse gas emissions. She sits

on the GRESB Real Estate Benchmark Committee in North America and is an active member of

USGBC. Ms. Peck holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and M.S. in Civil Engineering, is a

licensed Massachusetts Construction Supervisor with LEED AP Certification, and passed the FE

exam toward a mechanical engineer/registered professional engineering license.

Becca Timms the Director of ESG at Jamestown. She leads environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives through the Jamestown Green program and the Jamestown Charitable Foundation. Prior to joining Jamestown in 2012, Ms. Rushin worked as a local government consultant for Clark Patterson Lee, where she served as Community Development Coordinator and Sustainability Commission Staff Liaison for the City of Dunwoody. She is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and holds a LEED AP O+M credential. Ms. Rushin is an active volunteer with the Urban Land Institute, the US Green Building Council, and Community Farmers Markets. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Environmental Policy from Sewanee: the University of the South and a Master of Science in Sustainable Development: Environmental Policy and Management from Utrecht University.

MIT Sustainable Urbanization Lab’s research focuses on establishing the behavioral foundations for urban and environmental planning and policies aimed at sustainable urbanization. It also mobilizes the research and education resources of MIT and foster inter-disciplinary innovative work on sustainable urbanization. Zhengzhen’s research and teaching expertise is focused on the transitioning urbanization, digital innovation and entrepreneurship, digital transformation in real estate sector. She is the editor of “Towards Urban Vibrancy: Patterns and Practices of Asia’s New Cities” (MIT SA+P Press, 2020), and the author of the digital cities chapter in this book. She is also the director of MIT-Tsinghua Future City Innovation, which is MIT’s first entrepreneurship education program with a focus on the urban tech sector. She is now teaching two MIT courses in School of Architecture and Planning, and the Sloan School. Before joining MIT, Zhengzhen was an urban planner and urban designer with extensive practice in both public and private sector around in Shanghai, Singapore, London and Vancouver. She got her bachelor degree from Department of Urban Planning, Tongji University , Shanghai and her master degree from Department of Architecture, National University of Singapore.

Jennie Pries Friend is an Executive Director of Morgan Stanley. Ms.

Friend joined Morgan Stanley in 2001, where she is an officer in the

firm’s real estate investing practice in New York.

Ms. Friend currently oversees 5MM sf (~$4B) of Class A office and

retail assets and has primary responsibility for the ongoing oversight

and redevelopment of several regional malls.

Ms. Friend leads Morgan Stanley’s investment activity in the Greater

Boston market, executing ~$1B of acquisitions. She manages the

platform’s long term investments in One Post Office Square and Rowes

Wharf and has led the core fund’s expansion into the life science

market, marked by its acquisitions of 200 Cambridge Park Drive and

733 Concord Avenue in Alewife.

Prior to her role in the investing business, Ms. Friend was a real estate

consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers in its Financial Advisory

Services group providing clients with transactional support and

servicing distressed portfolios.

Ms. Friend completed her Bachelor of Science at the Wharton School at

the University of Pennsylvania.

Dailey Tipton has spent many years in senior positions of management where he is recognized for his expertise in energy and sustainability. He has a long history of growing companies, from start-up to Fortune 500 in size. As the leader for revenue generation for Evolution Energy Partners, Dailey focuses on creating opportunities for customers to drive impact to their bottom line through energy management projects while increasing their sustainable footprint. Prior to EEP, Dailey worked at CPower as a General Manager, SAP as the leader for Energy Management and Sustainable Applications Center of Excellence, DATUM as part of the management team and created, launched and managed a highly successful SAP sustainability practice for ERM.

Dailey started his career as a Naval Flight Officer and is a Veteran of Foreign War with multiple recognitions including two Navy Achievement Medals. He holds two degrees in Engineering: MS in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas and BS in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University. In his off time, Dailey is a competitive runner, cyclist, long distance open water swimmer and sails boats competitively. Dailey is on the Board of Directors for US Patriot Sailing, a wounded warrior program that provides support to the “Silently Wounded” warriors. Married 34 years to Jessica, who he met at Auburn, with two children Nate 30 and Leah 27.

Joëlle Jahn is a Senior Associate, Technical Principal, and Project Manager leading WSP’s Built Ecology group in Boston. She works closely with clients to provide energy and carbon benchmarking, Net Zero Carbon approach, renewable energy analysis, and broad sustainability strategy for a variety of project types. Joelle brings an ability to organize, analyze, and manage data while leading clients to develop Net Zero Energy and Carbon goals. Joëlle is a Technical Advisor to the City of Boston’s Net Zero Carbon Zoning Code and Co-Chair of the Carbon and Energy Roundtable for Built Environment Plus. She has been invited as a guest lecturer and design critic at the BAC, Wentworth, Northeastern School of Architecture, Cornell University and the Academy of the Arts San Francisco.

As Director of Sustainable Design at BR+A, Jacob Knowles leads our sustainability consulting team. He is a Zero Net Energy guru, spearheading millions of square feet of Carbon Neutral + Cashflow Positive projects.

With the help of his team, we have developed carbon neutral master plans and our projects have received awards such as AIA COTE Top Ten, I2SL Go Beyond, and major MA DOER high performance buildings and zero net energy grants. Jacob is also a board member of the Boston Society for Architecture.

Ben Myers is the Senior Vice President, Sustainability, at Boston Properties (BXP), the largest

publicly-traded developer, owner and manager of Class A office properties in the United

States. He is an engineer and non-routine project manager with a passion for resource

efficiency, healthy workspaces and urban ecosystems. His primary responsibilities include ESG

strategy and implementation, enterprise energy and water management, green building

initiatives, distributed generation and storage, energy conservation measure implementation,

resilience planning, education, communication and public reporting. He holds an M.A. in Urban

Environmental Leadership from Lesley University and a B.S. in Civil & Environmental

Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

Under Mr. Myers’ leadership, BXP has been recognized as an industry leader in ESG and

sustainability.

Roger Platt drives global strategy for the organization. He is the immediate

past-president of the USGBC. In addition to his role advising the CEO on mid-

to long- term strategy matters, he also leads USGBC's LEED for Cities efforts

and business development in the New York City region.

Prior to serving as President of USGBC, Roger was Senior Vice President for Global Policy and

Law. Before joining USGBC in 2009, Roger served for fifteen years as Senior Vice President and Counsel at the Real Estate Roundtable (www.rer.org) and before that as a senior land use

associate with the Coblentz law firm in San Francisco. He currently serves on

the Board of Trustees of the Urban Land Institute (www.uli.org). Roger is a graduate of

Harvard College and the University of San Francisco School of Law and is

admitted to practice law in California and the District of Columbia. He writes and speaks frequently on the intersection of markets and sustainability including guest lectures at Columbia, Georgetown, Princeton and Yale.

Matt McCambridge is co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Eden Health, a modern primary care and insurance navigation company designed to elevate the health and wellbeing of employees everywhere.

Prior to Eden Health, he was a technology and software investor at Insight Venture Partners, a global venture capital and private equity firm with over $20 billion of assets under management. He also worked as an analyst for the healthcare focused private equity firm, Shore Capital Partners. Since 2014, Matt currently has served as a board member for the nonprofit, Areté Education, where he leads efforts to build a boarding school for high school students in the South Bronx.

Matt earned his bachelor's degree from Harvard University and taught leadership under Ron Heifetz at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. He is based in New York City.

Tamar works with Sasaki teams to develop sustainability and resilience goals appropriate for each project and access critical resources to reach those goals. She enjoys collaborating to integrate sustainability considerations throughout the design process, from preliminary programming through construction management practices.

In this era of climate change, she believes that every project is an opportunity to make a healthy and resilient contribution to our clients, our communities, and our planet.

Tamar works across all Sasaki disciplines, on projects as varied as net-zero campus buildings, resilience and sustainability strategies for cities and corporate clients, and minimizing carbon emissions from buildings and landscape projects. She directs Sasaki’s Sustainable Leaders, training the individuals embedded in each project team responsible for project sustainability metrics and goals.

Tamar came to Sasaki with 25 years of experience designing educational and community buildings, both in the U.S. and with the Green Architecture Studio that she founded in Israel. She completed her M.Arch and BA at Harvard.

John C. Cannistraro, Jr. is president of J.C. Cannistraro, LLC, a family-owned mechanical contractor specializing in plumbing, fire protection, HVAC piping and sheet metal services for commercial and institutional projects in the Greater Boston area. John is responsible for establishing the long-term vision for this 700-person business, now in its second generation of family leadership, and emphasizing a culture of community outreach and collaboration. Cannistraro was recently named a top contractor in the Boston Business Journal Book of Lists and a Top Place to Work according to the Boston Globe.

John is a past president of the Massachusetts Building Congress and the Greater Boston Plumbing Contractors Association. John has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University, holds a Master Plumber’s License in Massachusetts, and is a graduate of the Owner/President Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Jennifer Taranto brings more than 20 years of experience in the commercial real estate and construction

industry. She joined Structure Tone in 2001, where she served as a superintendent and project manager

before becoming STO Building Group’s Director of Sustainability.

As a passionate advocate for reducing the environmental impact of the built environment, Jennifer gets

involved in the early stages of design and construction to define the client’s sustainability goals and help

the project team create an internal roadmap to achieve them. With her guidance and expertise,

organizations around the world have been able to improve people’s health and wellbeing while reducing

the construction and operating costs of facilities.

As a founder of Built Environment Plus (formerly the USGBC Massachusetts Chapter) and the current

vice-chair of the organization’s Board of Directors, Jennifer is a recognized Sustainable Construction

Leader and frequent speaker. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Engineering from

North Carolina State University.
