David Manfredi, CEO and Founding Principal of Elkus Manfredi Architects, has been privileged to work with industry leaders from across the country on a diverse portfolio of planning and building projects. An active member of the Boston Preservation Alliance, A Better City, the Urban Land Institute, and NAIOP, he also serves on the Boston Civic Design Commission, University of Notre Dame School of Architecture Advisory Council, Northeastern University School of Architecture Advisory Council, and the ULI Boston Advisory Board.

David is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame with Bachelor degrees in both English and Architecture, and the University of Chicago, where he received a Master of Arts. He is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects, a member of the Boston Society of Architects, and a LEED Accredited Professional.

John Hynes is the CEO and Managing Partner of Boston Global Investors. Prior to the formation of BGI in April, 2010, Mr. Hynes spent ten years as CEO and Managing Partner for Gale International and served as the driving force in the company’s aggressive expansion both domestically and in Asia. During his tenure at Gale, Mr. Hynes was the deal originator and managing Partner for the successful development of One Lincoln (now known as State Street Financial Center) and initiated Boston’s Seaport Square project. He also secured the massive New Songdo City project, a US $35B, 100 million square foot master planned city near Seoul, South Korea, one of the largest private real estate projects in the world today.Prior to joining Gale, Mr. Hynes spent ten years as a broker with the Codman Company and RM Bradley & Co. and ten years as the local development partner with Lincoln Property Company. During that time he participated in more than three hundred leasing and sales transactions in the Boston market totaling over six million square feet and developed three office projects totaling two million square feet with an aggregate value in excess of one billion dollars.

Currently, Mr. Hynes is focusing on the development of the 6M SF mixed-use Seaport Square project which is to be completed within this decade. John remains committed to and active within the Boston and Cape Cod communities and sits on the board of several non-profits and professional organizations. John is a graduate of Harvard College where he captained the 1980 hockey team.

Ms. Boujoulian joined Berkshire in 2012, bringing extensive multifamily development experience after serving as Vice President at Criterion Development Partners where she oversaw all aspects of multi-family development in New England from 2004-2012. Prior to Criterion Development Partners, Ms. Boujoulian worked for JPI from 1999-2004, holding several different positions during her tenure for both the construction and development divisions of the company. Collectively, she has managed design development and feasibility of more than 4,000 luxury apartment units throughout New England.

Ms. Boujoulian holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Roger Williams University, where she continues to be actively involved in the Alumni Executive Council and the Construction Management Professional Advisory Board. Following undergraduate studies, Ms. Boujoulian attended the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University, where she received a Master in Urban Planning degree.

Phil Casey is a Principal at CBT and has over 20 years of professional experience as a Senior Project Manager leading a wide range of projects with specialization in large scale multi-family residential and commercial mixed-use developments, such as the 1.2 million SF Atlantic Wharf Project, Boston’s first LEED platinum certified sky-scraper. Phil is leading the firm’s most complex large scale mixed-use residential projects currently on the rise in Boston including the 38-story Avalon North Station Tower as well as three new Seaport District developments: 121 Seaport Boulevard, Waterside Place 2 and Seaport Parcel M1+M2. Phil is an active supporter of the United Way and the Citizen’s School and holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University.

As Project Executive, John provides strong and effective leadership and direction to his project teams. He is responsible for overseeing that complete transparency and collaboration are implemented throughout the entire duration of a construction project. With professionalism and passion, John is the direct point of contact for his clients, ensuring delivery on safety, quality, innovation and Suffolk’s “build smart” promise. His most recent Boston projects include the notable Waterside Place, Millennium Tower and The Eddy.

Daniel P. Dain is a founder, Chairman and President of Dain, Torpy, Le Ray, Wiest & Garner, P.C.

He is a trial lawyer whose practice emphasizes representing real estate developers and

property owners. Mr. Dain started his career as a commercial litigator at Goodwin Procter LLP

before becoming co-chair of that firm’s real estate and land use litigation practice group.

Mr. Dain maintains a varied real estate litigation and appellate practice. He has a particular

expertise in zoning litigation, with a long track record of winning such cases through dispositive

motions both on standing grounds and the merits. Mr. Dain also regularly provides advice with

respect to, and litigation and appeals services in connection with, landlord/tenant leasing

disputes, buyer/seller real estate transaction disputes, owner/contractor construction disputes,

broker/client commission disputes, and condominium association/unit owner disputes, as well

as Dover Amendment, premises liability/negligent security, adverse possession, nuisance, and

encroachment/boundary cases. Mr. Dain also is regularly engaged by national law firms seeking

local counsel in Massachusetts.

Although most of his clients are in the real estate industry, Mr. Dain’s training and experience as

a commercial litigator allow him to represent clients in a wide variety of business disputes. His diverse commercial litigation

practice has included litigating unfair and deceptive trade practices/chapter 93A cases, fraud cases, closely-held corporation

shareholder disputes, and breach of non-compete agreement disputes.

Mr. O'Marah specializes in identifying and executing complex urban real estate development projects with a focus in hotel mixed-use investments having completed and in current development 1,435 hotel rooms in greater Boston with a value in excess of $500MM.

Mr. O’Marah also developed the National Historic Landmark 115 room Ames Hotel in Boston with Normandy Real Estate Partners and Morgans Hotel Group in 2009 and remains a limited Owner. Also during this period, he purchased the prime development site in Boston at the Jacob Wirth Restaurant at 45 Stuart Street, secured City of Boston permits for a 30-story tower project at the property and subsequently sold the site to Avalon Bay Communities, Inc. in 2011.

Prior to forming Harbinger Development, Mr. O’Marah was recruited and held the key leadership position at Jones Lang LaSalle Americas (NYSE:JLL) in Boston heading Investment Development activity. During his three year tenure with the publicly traded company, Mr. O’Marah lead the firm to record performance in the Hotel development sector in Boston. Mr. O'Marah also ran the NYC based Morse Diesel Construction Company's Sports Sector successfully negotiating and building some of the nation’s largest professional sports facilities for the NFL, NHL, NBA and MLB with aggregate value exceeding $1B.

Mr. O'Marah is a graduate of Milton Academy and the Rhode Island School of Design. In 1999, Mr. O'Marah established the Kevin F. O'Marah Award endowment at the Boston Architectural College in honor of his late father given to the schools top graduate each year.

Alex Twining is President and CEO of Twining Properties with over 4 msf of development in New York City and Boston. Mr. Twining has been a real estate developer for over 35 years. He has structured $2 B in equity and debt capital transactions and negotiated numerous complex acquisitions, land assemblages and joint ventures.

Projects include the 510,000 square foot Watermark Kendall Projects include the three block Mass+Main project in Central Square, the 300,000 sf Watermark Seaport in Boston, 560,000 sf Watermark Kendall in Cambridge, MA, 170,000 sf Watermark Court Square in Long Island City, the 1 msf mixed use tower 440 West 42 Street in Midtown Manhattan and the 2.5 msf residential component of Seaport Square overlooking the Boston Harbor.

Mr. Twining was CEO of MetroNexus, a Morgan Stanley Real Estate Funds Enterprise which managed the redevelopment of a 3 msf portfolio in the US and Canada. At Morgan Stanley he worked with its real estate, venture capital and telecom groups to launch a $1.25 B global platform. Mr. Twining also managed $3.0 B of Morgan Stanley's most complex real estate investments, including $1.2 B of acquisitions and over $750 M of dispositions. His focus at Morgan Stanley was on large scale development properties including The Woodlands, a 25,000-acre new town in Texas, John Buck Company's 3 msf North Bridge, urban mixed-used development in Chicago and The Gale Company’s 6 msf national office portfolio including the 1 msf One Lincoln Street.

Prior to joining Morgan Stanley in 1998, Mr. Twining was an officer of AvalonBay Communities, a $4 B multi-family REIT where he expanded the suburban garden apartment company into urban residential development, creating the management team and a pipeline of 3,000 apartments. For Colgate Palmolive he directed the development of the $2 B, 8 msf Colgate Center in NJ. He was Regional Partner for FD Rich Companies' Boston office overseeing a 2 msf mixed use hotel, office and retail development and directed an 800,000 square foot mixed use hotel residential and office development for BF Saul Company, halfway between the White House and US Capitol in Washington, DC.

Mr. Twining is a ULI Trustee and Governor, an architect and real estate broker and serves on the Dean’s Council of the Yale School of Architecture. He received both a BA and a MArch from Yale University. He has lectured and taught at Yale, MIT, NYU and Columbia.

Jason joined YOTEL in 2012 to lead the company’s aggressive global growth and development strategy. He heads the acquisitions and development teams responsible for securing new YOTEL projects in key city centres and international airports in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North America. He also manages the design and construction teams responsible for working with YOTEL’s owners and development partners to deliver and evolve the concept as the brand expands. Currently, YOTEL has signed over USD $1.5 billion worth of hotel development projects representing over 3,000 keys set to open by 2018 in markets such as Dubai, Singapore, Paris, London, Geneva, Miami, San Francisco and Boston.

Jason joined from Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, where he served in senior roles in acquisitions & development, corporate finance & strategy and real estate investment management. During his tenure at Kimpton, Jason managed acquisitions, dispositions, recapitalizations and financings on behalf of Kimpton’s discretionary private equity real estate funds. Prior to Kimpton, Jason was part of the founding team at the start-up luxury destination club, One Key, and began his professional career as a consultant with Ernst & Young in their Transaction Real Estate & Hospitality group.

Over his career, Jason has been involved in over $6 billion of hospitality transactions and is passionate about hospitality entrepreneurship, serving as an advisor to institutionally backed technology start-ups and investors. Jason received his bachelor’s degree in Hotel Administration from Cornell University where he remains involved in the Center for Real Estate and Finance as well as the Pillsbury Institute for Hospitality Entrepreneurship.

Fred’s commitment to “design with community in mind” translates into his active engagement in numerous industry, cultural, and philanthropic organizations—where architects’ problem-solving abilities stand to make a real difference. A past chair of the Urban Land Institute, Fred is also a member of the Boston Society of Architects and NAIOP.

Prior to joining Stantec, Fred was the long-time president of ADD Inc. There, his focus on diversifying markets and services created a well-balanced multidisciplinary practice, and his mentorship of young designers and mid-career professionals cultivated the next generation of design and management leaders.

Yanni Tsipis is Senior Vice President - Seaport at WS Development in Boston and oversees the company's Seaport project, a 7.7 million square foot mixed-use development currently underway in Boston's Seaport District. Prior to his tenure at WS, Yanni spent nearly 15 years at Colliers International after completing undergraduate and graduate studies at MIT in civil engineering and planning. At Colliers, Yanni focused his work on managing large-scale urban development and historic rehabilitation projects. His project experience at Colliers included multiple commercial, multifamily residential, hotel, and other project types, and spanned over $2 billion of development projects, all in the City of Boston. Yanni lives in Westwood and has written four books about the history of the city's transportation infrastructure. He serves on numerous non-profit boards and is a past member of the Boston Landmarks Commission.

Lisa Nickerson, winner of the 2016 PRISM Award for Marketing Professional of the Year, is the true definition of an entrepreneurial businesswoman. Having earned The Nashua Telegraph’s 91 Progress’ Entrepreneur of the Year at 17 years old, Lisa is now the CEO and founder of Nickerson PR, an award-winning full-service communications agency that offers an integrated blend of public relations, social media, digital content, creative services, and events expertise. In June of 2018, Lisa was featured on Chronicle as Greater Boston’s Real Estate Expert.

A multiple-industry award winner, Lisa is a well-respected, sought-after speaker and moderator, and a devotee of professional and community service. She is an active member of ULI | New England’s Advisory Board, ULI Women Leadership Institute Co-Chair and Communications Chair, American Marketing Association, Board Member & VP of Sponsorship, Boston Women in Media & Entertainment Board Member, former SIOR New England Board Member & Communications Chair, and a member of NAIOP and CREW.

Lisa received her Bachelor of Science degree from Boston College in Marketing and Finance. She maintains her Massachusetts Real Estate License and is currently completing her Master of Business Administration at Babson College.

Lisa received her Real Estate Certificate from Boston University. She resides in Wayland, MA, and is a proud mother of three outstanding teenagers – her two sons are highly decorated Eagle Scouts and her daughter is a competitive gymnast.
