Dan McGrath oversees the leasing and asset management of Berkeley’s overall investment portfolio. In this capacity, he develops and implements strategies to add value to the portfolio, manages all leasing activity, and oversees property performance. He is also involved in investor reporting and has served in project management roles overseeing permitting efforts and redevelopment projects at various properties across the portfolio. Before joining Berkeley, Dan spent nearly 14 years at New Boston Fund, a private equity real estate investment firm. Dan is an active member of ULI as well as NAIOP, where he is past chair of the Programs Committee and a member of the Executive Committee. He is a past recipient of the NAIOP MA President’s Award and its National Developing Leader Award. Dan is also an active volunteer with United Way. He holds a BA from Harvard University and an MS-RED from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Andrew Krenning is the associate managing director of the Boston office. He oversees local employees, monitors the office’s financial performance, and spearheads business development.

Before joining Syska, Krenning spent 15 years at Siemens Industry, Inc., rising from the position of design engineer to solutions sales manager – construction. In the latter position he led a team of construction sales professionals, estimators, business development executives, and pre-construction project experts for the Eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island market.

A resident of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, Mr. Krenning earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern University. He is a certified project management professional (PMP) and a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE), New England Healthcare Engineers’ Society (NEHES), the American Society for Health Care Engineering (ASHE), and the International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories (I2SL).

Ben Wan, a Principal with RODE Architects, has a passion for exploring the many ways that design can function within the complex layering of urban settings. His experience stretches across a diverse range of project types, including deep expertise in multifamily and affordable housing. Ben is currently working on a number of projects with affordable components, including 52 New Street, a 106-unit, 100% affordable housing development in East Cambridge designed to Passive House energy standards.

Brenden Lydon has been an integral part of Wise Construction since 2015, starting as a

Project Engineer and steadily rising to his current role as Project Executive. With nearly

a decade of experience managing high-profile projects, he has overseen the successful

completion of major initiatives for some of Greater Boston’s most influential Science &

Technology and Healthcare clients. His portfolio includes Bristol Myers Squibb, Moderna

Therapeutics, Takeda Pharmaceuticals, Novartis, Biogen, Pfizer, IQHQ, Flagship

Throughout her career, Kadia fosters relationships, negotiates partnerships to drive life science transformation projects spanning billions of dollars as the voice of the scientist. Kadia has been a highly acclaimed and award recipient for delivering results for her current work and prior companies: Agilent Technologies, Amgen, and Biogen. Prior to these large companies Kadia had humble beginnings as a bench scientist at EI Dupont and GreenLight Biosciences where she transitioned into management and operations. Kadia holds an BSc in Chemistry from Howard University, and both a MSc. in Biochemistry and Meng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.

John Swift, a partner and the global science and technology practice leader, has more than 30 years of experience in high performance building systems engineering design. He has delivered solutions for research, commercial and academic facilities that require effective and reliable infrastructure for the optimization of occupant health, safety and comfort, while minimizing energy and water consumption. He is recognized as an authority in the profession, helping write standards for the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air- Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the Environmental Protection Agency – and has been an official reviewer for NIH grant submissions since 2009. Mark leads the planning and design for Life Sciences projects that foster collaboration and that carefully respond to programmatic needs for laboratory, pharmaceutical, cGMP cleanroom, biotech, and core/shell projects. Spanning a 25+ year career in architecture, Mark cultivates an inclusive approach to the design process for corporate and institutional research clients nationally. His thought leadership contributions include recent Life Sciences publications and national speaking events.

As Vice President of Science + Technology at Columbia, Bill leads with a proactive mindset, a deep understanding of client needs, and a thoughtful and informed approach to construction. With more than 30 years of experience in chemistry, architecture, and construction, Bill understands the distinct elements involved in successful Science + Technology construction. He is highly technical and creative and works with project partners to develop strategies to elevate outcomes while adhering to budgets and deadlines.
