During his 20-year career, Sam has spoken at national and regional conferences, authored white papers, and cultivated value-added work relationships with some of the most prominent healthcare organizations in the country, including Yale New Haven Health, Duke Medicine, and University of Chicago Medicine. Prior to founding Percival, he spent 15 years as a healthcare planning consultant at Hammes Company and Noblis and five years at Brigham & Women’s Hospital as Director of Clinical Research in Cardiac Surgery.

Paul Sabal is a registered architect and interior designer with more than 43 years of experience in the architecture and engineering industry. With extensive knowledge in healthcare design and construction, Paul has been involved in all aspects of the process, from initial land and facility planning to design and construction administration. He has worked in large firms, multi-office settings, and national practices, making him well-versed in healthcare design trends and best practices. Paul's expertise extends to regulations, legislation, and reimbursements in the industry. As the Principal/Healthcare Practice Leader at HFA, he brings his wealth of experience to lead a team in challenging industry norms and developing innovative solutions for clients. With a focus on leveraging new AEC technologies, Paul aims to revolutionize how healthcare projects are planned, designed, constructed, operated, and maintained.

Jerome is the Boston Branch Manager at Limbach, where he helps hospitals and health systems optimize critical infrastructure to improve reliability, efficiency, and long-term facility performance. He partners with healthcare organizations to align facility investments with operational priorities, ensuring mission-critical environments remain resilient while supporting the evolving needs of patient care.

With extensive experience across the HVAC, building systems, and industrial automation industries, Jerome has led strategic growth initiatives focused on enhancing facility performance, reducing operational risk, and maximizing capital investments. Recognized for his collaborative leadership style, he brings together engineering expertise, service excellence, and customer-focused strategies to help healthcare organizations modernize aging infrastructure, improve energy performance, and build more resilient facilities for the future.

She has extensive experience in employing methods for expediting design and construction, maintaining quality and minimizing risk throughout the project delivery process to inform better and expeditious decision-making.

Jessica’s portfolio includes the nationally renowned LEED Gold replacement facility for Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Charlestown, Massachusetts; various projects for Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston; and strategic facility master plans for the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, New York. She is involved in the Women’s Executive Leadership and Living organization as a mentor to young professional women; as a guest lecturer at Boston architecture and design schools; and she serves on Boston’s USS Constitution Museum’s Board of Overseers.
