Jonathan Davis is the Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of TDC. He oversees firm-wide operations, the development and execution of the Fund’s investment strategy, the management of the Fund’s investment activities and serves on the Fund’s Investment Committee. Mr. Davis has over 40 years of real estate management and development experience and plays a central role in the identification and evaluation of new opportunities, capital raising and management of the existing investment portfolios. He is actively involved with numerous business and civic organizations in the Boston area. He was the 2008 President of the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (“NAIOP”) and the 2009 Board Chair. Mr. Davis has received numerous awards. In 2000, he was chosen by Ernst & Young as New England Entrepreneur of the Year in the real estate and construction category. In 2003, he was honored by the Association of Fundraising Professionals with the individual “Leader in Philanthropy” award. In 2006, the company was named recipient of the Distinguished Real Estate Award by the Massachusetts chapter of NAIOP. In 2014, the United Way of Massachusetts Bay honored Mr. Davis with the Norman B. Leventhal / Edwin N. Sidman leadership award. In 2015, The Boston Preservation Alliance honored Mr. Davis with the President’s Award for Excellence. Mr. Davis also has been involved as a leader on the Boards of Directors and the Executive Committees of several nonprofit organizations including Brandeis University, where he serves a Vice Chair of the Board, The Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston, where he serves as a board member and former past Board Chair, The Combined Jewish Philanthropies of Greater Boston, and public radio station WBUR, where he serves as a board member. Mr. Davis graduated from Brandeis University.

The firm was founded and is led by Robin Brown who, with over forty years of experience in the hospitality and real estate industry, has acquired a distinctive skill set for urban, mixed-use development, hotel operations management, asset management, and hospitality-oriented design/branding.

As a hotel and mixed-use investor, developer and operator, Mr. Brown has worked independently and with many prominent real estate companies including Highgate Holdings, the Rockpoint Group, Samuels & Associates, and The Davis Companies. Mr. Brown created the concept for what became the Mandarin Oriental Boston in the Back Bay of Boston and was a co-developer of the project from its conception to its opening, a period of 12 years. The Mandarin Oriental was developed from the ground up at a cost of more than $350 million. Mr. Brown was involved with full design, permitting and approvals, securing the financing, construction oversight, retail leasing, apartment leasing, and customized condominium sales (responsible to the partnership and the bank and solely responsible for over $200 million in condominium sales). The property was sold in the Fall of 2008. Mr. Brown was then involved with the acquisition of the Boston Park Plaza. He partnered with Highgate Holdings and the Rockpoint Group to acquire, operationally improve, transform the design, rebrand the 80-year-old hotel and sell the property. Mr. Brown is currently an investor in multiple, highly innovative hotel projects in the Boston/Greater Boston Area. Mr. Brown launched the Knickerbocker Hotel in New York City’s Times Square, developed the concept and provides management for The Verb Hotel in the Fenway District of Boston, supports asset management, in partnership with The Davis Companies, of the Hilton Boston/Woburn in Woburn, Massachusetts, co-developed the renovation, in partnership with The Davis Companies, and provides asset management for the Studio Allston Hotel in the Allston neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts and is currently co-developing, in partnership with The Davis Companies, the Omni Boston Seaport Hotel in the Seaport District of Boston, Massachusetts, expected to open in March 2021.

Prior to launching Spot On Ventures, Mr. Brown was with the Four Seasons Hotels for 20 years. As General Manager of the Four Seasons Hotel Boston for 13 years, the hotel received numerous accolades including the AAA Five Diamond Award, Mobil Five Star award, Institutional Investor magazine's Top 10 Hotels in the World, Number One Hotel in Boston on Zagat, and Number One Service in the World by Conde Nast readers' poll. The hotel restaurant, Aujourd'hui, also received awards such as the AAA Five Diamond Award, Number One Restaurant in Boston on Zagat, and maintained its position as one of the most profitable F&B operations in the Four Seasons chain for over a decade. The Four Seasons Boston was the only property in New England to receive AAA Five Diamond awards for both the hotel and restaurant. Prior to his position in Boston, Mr. Brown oversaw operations for two large mixed-use Four Seasons properties in Vancouver and Edmonton, Canada. Mr. Brown then spent time at the Four Seasons Georgetown in Washington, DC, the Number One Hotel in Institutional Investor magazine and consistently considered one of the best hotels in the world. As Resident Manager at the Washington, DC Four Seasons, Mr. Brown analyzed the concept of converting an adjacent, privately owned office building into guest rooms, while simultaneously reducing the number of keys in the existing structure to create a bigger, more deluxe hotel overall. This repositioning was ultimately undertaken, increasing the value tremendously.

After hotel school, Mr. Brown began his hotel career as an executive at Starwood Hotels, where he oversaw the management and physical expansion and repositioning of the Westin Edmonton (416 keys,

24,000 SF meeting space) and the Westin Calgary (525 keys, 26,000 SF meeting space). Mr. Brown was involved in overseeing the expansion of the hotels, including additional guest rooms and meeting space.

Mr. Brown’s reputation as an outstanding hotelier is matched by his commitment to his community. He has served on numerous boards and advisory groups. Upon Mr. Brown’s retirement from the Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, he launched a foundation dedicated to support Alzheimer research in memory of his father, Jim Brown. Mr. Brown has served as a Director of The Boston Public Library Foundation, a Trustee for Life of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and was the Vice Chairman of The Back Bay Association for over ten years. Previously, Mr. Brown served as a Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The Wang Center for the Performing Arts, Director of The Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, an Overseer of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and on the Board of Directors of the Business Leadership Association of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

Thomas P. Glynn, Ph.D. is the Chief Executive Officer of the Harvard Allston Land Company, overseeing Harvard University’s non-institutional development of its Enterprise Research Campus in Allston. He reports to a Board chaired by Nitin Nohria, the Dean of the Harvard Business School.

Previously Glynn was Chief Executive Officer of the Massachusetts Port Authority from 2012 to 2018. In this role he oversaw the 1,300-person agency with an $800 million budget that owns and operates Boston Logan International Airport, the public container and cruise terminals in the Port of Boston, Hanscom Field, Worcester Regional Airport and real estate holdings in South Boston, East Boston and Charlestown.

Prior to joining Massport, Glynn was Chief Operating Officer of Partners HealthCare System, the Commonwealth’s largest network of teaching hospitals and neighborhood health centers, affiliated with Harvard Medical School. His previous roles included General Manager of the MBTA, Deputy Secretary of Labor in the Clinton Administration and Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration at Brown University.

Glynn is a fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration and a former board member of the Council for Excellence in Government. A former lecturer at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, Glynn earned a B.A. in Economics from Tufts University and a Ph.D. from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University, where he also served as a trustee.

Glynn served as a member of the Harvard Corporation Committee on Facilities and Capital Planning from 2011 to 2017 and on the Board of Directors of the John Hancock Financial Services Company from 2001 to 2004.

Tom Tinlin, Howard Stein Hudson’s Institutional and Private Markets Director, has a natural understanding and deep expertise in advancing projects to completion. With 30 years of experience, including service as MassDOT’s Highway Administrator from 2015 to 2017, and the longest-serving Commissioner of the Boston Transportation Department (BTD) in the City’s history (from 2006-2015), Tom has a deep knowledge of current municipal operations through his 25 years at City Hall.

Tom’s experience in the South Boston Waterfront goes back to his appointment to serve on the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center’s Design Advisory Committee. As the Commissioner of Boston Transportation, Tom was the City’s point person on the South Boston Waterfront Sustainable Transportation Plan. As he transitioned to MassDOT as Chief of Operation and Maintenance, Tom represented the agency on the Committee and as Highway Administrator he served as the Chair of the groups implementation committee. Tom is a lifelong resident of South Boston where he has had a front row seat to the historic development of this area of Boston.

Tom looks forward to helping improve mobility and the build environment for the people of New England and beyond. He recently received the Norman Leventhal Award from A Better City; the Ray LaHood award from WTS for his work on the advancement of women in transportation; the 2017 American Public Works Association’s (APWA) Professional Transportation Manager of the Year for his work on the All Electronic Tolling conversion; and the 2017 Norman Leventhal Visionary in Transportation award.

Margaret Briggs

Managing Principal

Margaret (Peggy) Briggs is a Managing Principal at Epsilon Associates. She has devoted her 30 plus year professional career to commercial and institutional real estate development projects across the Commonwealth including countless projects in the City of Boston. Peggy is the "go to" expert in the planning, environmental analysis and regulatory review processes necessary to secure approvals from the Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act Office, the Boston Planning & Development Agency among other agencies. She regularly collaborates with lawyers, project proponents, and regulatory agencies in strategic discussions of permitting, and project planning. Her experience and knowledge of past precedents with MEPA, NEPA, Article 80, and waterfront permitting helps Epsilon develop the most streamlined approval process available. Major Seaport projects under her belt include Fan Pier, BCEC, Waterside Place, Parcel K, and Park Lane/Renaissance Hotel. Further, Epsilon directed the permitting for Seaport Square and many projects in the Raymond L. Flynn Marine Park.

Mr. Stephen N. Faber serves as an Executive Vice President of Related Beal, LLC. Mr. Faber served as Senior Vice President and Partner of Related Beal, LLC(also known as The Beal Companies, LLP). Mr. Faber oversees asset and property management of Beal owned and managed real estate as well as development of real estate investments. His diverse experience includes management, leasing, sale and development of individual assets and portfolio management for a variety of property types: research and development, office, retail, multi-family and planned unit developments. Mr. Faber has managed assets in seventeen different markets from Jacksonville, Florida to Seattle, Washington. He has significant systems design and implementation experience, and has authored and published detailed Policy and Procedure Manuals for property operations. Prior to joining Beal and Company, Inc., Mr. Faber was Vice President of Property Management with the Rubin Organization in Philadelphia. Mr. Faber was responsible for the management of over 5,000 apartment and condominium residences in five states. Preceding his employment at the Rubin Organization, Mr. Faber was Director of Property Management for Liberty Real Estate Group, a Boston-based real estate subsidiary of Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, where he developed a fee management subsidiary serving institutions, partnerships, and individuals. Mr. Faber is a Member of Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA) and National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP). Mr. Faber received a BS degree in Business Administration from Boston University.

Dave Miller is WiredScore’s Head of Boston. He is leading the expansion of the company’s Wired Certification in the regional office market. His previous experience includes being the Boston General Manager for PivotDesk. He has additional experience in Operations and Business Development at StrongArm Technologies and MassChallenge.

There, his focus on diversifying markets and services created a well-balanced multidisciplinary practice, and his mentorship of young designers and mid-career professionals cultivated the next generation of design and management leaders.

Amy Korté is an architect and President of Arrowstreet, a multidisciplinary architecture, planning, interiors, and experience design firm. She leads the design of Arrowstreet’s large-scale mixed-use, residential, and infrastructure projects, with a focus on how shifts in technology, climate, and society impact cities and buildings. Her multidisciplinary background in architecture, interiors, retail, and development enables her to deliver creative designs that bridge multiple disciplines.

Amy’s work has sparked critical national conversations about the future of cities and design, and she has spoken nationally at CREW, CERAWeek, Founders Forum, Urbanism Next, and AWE USA. She holds a Master of Architecture from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design and a BFA in Environmental Design from Parsons School of Design. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Harvard COOP and is as a co-chair of the Boston Society of Architects’ Women Principals Group is an advocate for equity within the profession.

Yanni Tsipis is Senior Vice President - Seaport at WS Development in Boston and oversees the company's Seaport project, a 7.7 million square foot mixed-use development currently underway in Boston's Seaport District. Prior to his tenure at WS, Yanni spent nearly 15 years at Colliers International after completing undergraduate and graduate studies at MIT in civil engineering and planning. At Colliers, Yanni focused his work on managing large-scale urban development and historic rehabilitation projects. His project experience at Colliers included multiple commercial, multifamily residential, hotel, and other project types, and spanned over $2 billion of development projects, all in the City of Boston. Yanni lives in Westwood and has written four books about the history of the city's transportation infrastructure. He serves on numerous non-profit boards and is a past member of the Boston Landmarks Commission.

Ms. Ng is the Managing Director and Co-Head of Investments of Cottonwood Group. In her role as Managing Director, she oversees the Group’s real estate investment activities. Previously, Ms. Ng was Managing Principal at Athena International Capital in Hong Kong, Executive Vice President of Investments at Easternflair in China, Head of Real Estate Business Development – APAC at Aviva Investor in Singapore, Director of Real Estate Acquisitions at Blackrock in Hong Kong, and Director & Principal of the Capital Markets Group at Taurus Investment Holdings in Boston. To-date, she has completed over 100 real estate transactions, totaling over US$2.5 billion in the US, EU, and Asia, representing investors from eight jurisdictions globally.

Ms. Ng graduated from MIT with a Bachelor of Science and from Harvard University with a Master of Architecture with Distinction, as well as being a CFA and CAIA charter holder.

John has been with Lincoln Property Company since 1986 and was appointed Senior Vice President and Area Director for New England area 1996. John has 30 years of experience in leasing, sales, development and management services. During his career, he represented a host of institutional and private owners. John has also been active in tenant and landlord representation in downtown Boston, Cambridge and the 128 South markets. John is a 1984 graduate of Boston College.

Sue Hawkes served as the Senior Vice President for the Codman Company in Boston for 13 years before joining The Collaborative Companies as Partner and Managing Director in 1997, acquiring TCC and Velocity Marketing in 2008. The Collaborative Companies was acquired by Realogy/NRT in 2016. Ms. Hawkes is a recognized leader in the new construction industry and consults throughout the country. Active in the building industry, she served on the National Association of Home Builders Executive Committee (NAHB), as Chairman of the New England Builders Conference, and as Trustee of both the Institute of Residential Marketing (MIRM) and the National Sales and Marketing Council, the latter of which she has chaired. Ms. Hawkes has also served as President of the Builders Association of Greater Boston.
