Brad Maples is the Market Leader and Managing Director for TCC's Austin office, which develops throughout Central Texas. Brad is responsible for the execution of all development and acquisition projects, the sourcing of new business pursuits, and oversees the finance and overall day-to-day operations of the office.

Maples joined TCC in 2005 as a development manager, transitioned to a Senior Associate role in 2011, was promoted to Principal in 2017 and became Managing Director and Market Leader in 2020. Since 2011, Brad has been directly involved in every completed and in-process project in the Austin office, totaling 12 million square feet of developments valued at more than $5 billion. During his career, Brad has been responsible for every aspect of the development process on projects spanning multiple product types, including office, industrial, multi-family, and mixed-use developments throughout Central Texas.

Maples is a board member for The Trail Foundation and the Downtown Austin Alliance. He also serves as a member for the Real Estate Council of Austin and Urban Land Institute where he serves as a mentor to the Young Leaders Group. He earned his MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and his undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University.

Rob Shands

Rob Shands is a Partner with RedLeaf, where he is primarily focused on capital markets, financing activities, acquisitions, vertical development, and strategic partnerships.

Previously, Shands held the following positions:

Partner and Director of Investment for Live Oak-Gottesman, a full service commercial real estate firm based in Austin. Shands was responsible for operations and execution of investment activities. He served as a member of the management team and investment committee.

While at Live Oak, Shands established and executed a thesis based acquisition strategy focused on class B office properties in San Antonio. He played an integral role in the development and acquisition of over 650,000 SF of office and retail product in Austin and San Antonio.

Acting through a strategic partnership, Shands helped start a standalone self-storage development platform, which successfully developed a portfolio of class A storage projects in Central Texas.

Shands began his career at Frost Bank in the Real Estate group where he managed a loan portfolio consisting of retail, office, industrial, multi-family, land and self-storage.

Travis Eickenhorst

Mr. Eickenhorst joined Stonelake at its inception in 2007 and was the first non-founder employee of the firm. Mr. Eickenhorst has extensive experience evaluating debt and equity investments across industrial, multi-family, office, retail and single family real estate product types.

Prior to Stonelake, Mr. Eickenhorst was an associate at Cypress Real Estate Advisors in Austin where he helped raise over $400 million of equity capital for a discretionary investment partnership and establishing the firm’s industrial platform in Mexico. Prior to Cypress, Mr. Eickenhorst was an analyst at Phoenix Capital Partners in Dallas where he focused on joint venture equity investments in multi-family development projects in Texas, Arizona and California.

Mr. Eickenhorst received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas and a Masters in Professional Accounting from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Eickenhorst is currently a member of the Associate Council at the Real Estate Finance and Investment Center at the University of Texas McCombs School of Business.

Amanda Coupe

Amanda Coupe joined Stream Realty Partners in 2016 as Managing Director, Property Management for the Austin market. With more than 16 years of Commercial Real Estate experience, Amanda has successfully worked with such companies as GLP (IndCor Properties); Morgan Stanley Real Estate, The John Buck Company, DB REEF and Cushman & Wakefield. Her current and previous clients include Industrial Property Trust, Clarion Partners, DRA Advisors, KBS, AFIAA US, Blackstone, Morgan Stanley Real Estate, Meyer Bergman, RBS and Goldman Sachs.

Prior to joining Stream Realty Partners, Amanda served as Managing Director for Cushman & Wakefield where she led business development pursuits for property management in the Chicago market. Prior to that, Amanda served as Vice President of Property Management for GLP (IndCor Properties) for their national portfolio totaling 180 million square feet. Previously Amanda was the CAO and European head of business planning and reporting for Morgan Stanley Properties in Frankfurt, Germany, with a portfolio of 200 million square feet and $8BN in AUM. She has also worked as a property and asset manager for Chicago-based firms such as The John Buck Company and MB Real Estate, including assets such as the John Hancock Center and UBS Tower. She is also an active member of NAIOP, CREW Austin, BOMA and IREM.

He is recognized as a leader in the private sector for his ability to cultivate lasting relationships and seamlessly guide stakeholders through the land acquisition, due diligence and commercial development processes. Nick’s extensive knowledge of the industry, combined with professional experience in land development and acquisition, allows him to fully grasp the unique needs and challenges facing his clients, regardless of market or market sector. Whether he’s working with local, national or international clients, Nick leverages this holistic understanding to strategically approach opportunities, tailor counsel, enable resources and effectively navigate the development landscape of each project. Nick received his Bachelor of Science degree in Urban Planning and Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California (USC) and is a past Chair of the Real Estate Council of Austin and a current board member of the Downtown Austin Alliance.

Josh Gerst has more than 20 years of experience in RF engineering and management in the wireless industry. He focuses on DAS system design and commissioning plus the optimization of both indoor and outdoor DAS. He has a broad background in DAS systems engineering design and implementation. Prior to joining RF Connect as Vice President of Engineering, Josh was Director of Engineering at Powerwave Technologies where he focused on DAS design and deployment. He managed design engineering teams working in the U.S. and overseas. Josh has worked in engineering and engineering management throughout his career at companies ranging from Metaware, a small start-up smart antenna company, to Ericsson, the largest wireless equipment OEM in the world. Josh has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University.

Endeavor Principal Ben Bufkin is responsible for sourcing and executing development and acquisition opportunities for the company. In addition, he has served on Endeavor’s five-member Operating Committee.

Relevant Experience

Most recently, Ben has led the development of Domain NORTHSIDE, a 40-acre mixed use project within the Domain in north Austin. In addition to his work at Domain NORTHSIDE, Ben has served as the co-master developer of the broader Domain project. This highly successful 300-acre mixed-use development contains approximately seven million square feet of retail, office, residential, and hotel.

During the 2008 economic recession, Ben co-led the creation of a partnership between Endeavor Prophet Capital Management. With Prophet, Endeavor created two funds designed to invest in RMBS bonds, CMBS bonds, single property commercial loans and distressed assets.

Prior to joining Endeavor, Ben was a Senior Real Estate Analyst in the Dallas office of HFF. During his career, he has been involved with nearly $750 million of development projects, $1 billion of real estate finance and acquisition activity, and a $900 million debt fund focused on commercial and non-agency residential mortgage-backed securities.

Over the last decade since Saxum’s inception, Anthony has leveraged his extensive knowledge of individual markets and his distinct understanding of demand drivers to establish Saxum’s unique investment strategies. He capitalizes on his vast network and personal relationships within the real estate community to create opportunities and respond to market changes that are unseen and overlooked by others.

Anthony has led Saxum through explosive growth to become one of the fastest growing real estate private equity firms in the nation, with a team of over 30 professionals, multiple offices and a nationwide investment portfolio totaling over 10 million square feet and nearly $3.0 billion in investment capitalizations.

Prior to founding Saxum, Anthony served as an advisor and consultant within the brokerage community. In various roles, he oversaw the leasing and management portfolio of four million square feet of assets on behalf of corporations, REITs, family offices, special servicers, and private equity and institutional investors. Beyond his corporate achievements, Cory is actively engaged in community service. He currently contributes his insights as a board member of the Austin Monitor (501c3) and as an advisory member of Explore Austin (501c3). Prior to this, he dedicated six years to Explore Austin as a volunteer mentor, exemplifying his commitment to shaping young minds.

Peter Mullan

Since 2021 Peter Mullan has served as Chief of Architecture and Urban Design for Austin Transit Partnership, the

new local government corporation charged with implementing Project Connect, Austin’s multi-billion-dollar transit

expansion, in collaboration with CapMetro, the City of Austin, and the entire Austin community. Peter brings

decades of experience working in public space design and community engagement to the extraordinary

opportunity for Project Connect to reinforce and enhance Austin's diverse and human-centered urban fabric. In

2022, Peter received the Taniguchi Award for Public Architecture from AIA Austin and the Austin Foundation for

Architecture.

From 2015 to 2021, Peter was the CEO of the Waterloo Greenway Conservancy, building an innovative public park

system around a restored Waller Creek, in partnership with the City of Austin, including the transformed Waterloo

Park and new Moody Amphitheater which opened in 2021. Waterloo Greenway combines access to art and

culture with an immersive natural experience in the heart of the city, to create a newly inclusive public space on

the east side of downtown Austin.

From 2004 to 2015 Peter was the Director of Planning and Design and Executive Vice President at Friends of the

High Line, the non-profit organization responsible for creating and operating the High Line, in partnership with the

City of New York. Peter is a graduate of Princeton University and the Yale School of Architecture, where he was

the recipient of the Alpha Rho Chi medal for Leadership. A converted lifelong New Yorker, Peter admires Austin’s

uniquely vibrant and welcoming community, which he enjoys with his wife Melanie, daughter Josie, and dog Mimi.

Joe Simmons

Joe Simmons is currently Senior Vice President at Aquila Commercial LLC. He is also a partner and Acquisition Director with PacVentures Inc. in PV Opportunity Funds I-V. Joe has been active in the commercial real estate market for over 25 years. Prior to joining Aquila, Joe was an Austin partner for Tucson-based Bourn Partners and prior to that, an Austin Director for Prentiss Properties which was acquired by Brandywine Realty Trust. During his tenure with Prentiss Properties, he played a significant role in the acquisition, development and leasing of Barton Skyway I & II. He attended the University of Texas and graduated with honors in Accounting. He also received his Juris Doctorate from Baylor University School of Law, where he was the recipient of the Advanced Texas Land Practice Award. Mr. Simmons specializes in office,

industrial and retail value-add asset acquisitions— particularly those requiring enhancement through renovation, change of use, management and leasing. He has an extensive knowledge of both the legal and business aspects of commercial leases, sales and negotiation.

Brad J. Nelsen is the president and founder of Nelsen Partners, an award-winning architecture and planning firm based in Austin with an international reach. Throughout Mr. Nelsen’s 40 years in the profession, he has specialized in the design of mixed-use developments, office buildings, high-rise residential, hotels, and retail developments throughout the United States, Australia, Morocco, and the Middle East.

Current projects under construction in downtown Austin include the 31 story Hyatt Centric on Congress Avenue, a 53-story residential tower - The Modern on Rainey Street, office buildings on West 6th Street and over 700 apartments in East Austin.
