Mike joined CWS in 1998 and is responsible for the company’s overall investment and operations activities. He holds an MBA from Harvard and a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Classics, with honors, from Princeton. Prior to CWS, Mike worked for Security Capital Group in Santa Fe, New Mexico and was a Naval Intelligence Officer, servingboth during the Gulf War and later as a Chief of Naval Operations Briefer in the Pentagon. Mike is on the Advisory Board for the Urban Land Institute, Austin, TX, and is a member of Vistage. He is a member of the South Fork Anglers, the 2013 Jackson Hole One-Fly Champions.

Patton K. Jones, executive managing director, ARA, A Newmark Company Central Texas office. Mr. Jones is responsible for the Austin and San Antonio conventional multifamily business, the ARA Newmark National Student Housing Group, and the ARA Newmark National Manufactured Housing Group. Mr. Jones oversees business development, market research, and all aspects of property disposition. The collective business lines produce roughly $800MM in sales annually. Prior to joining ARA Newmark, Mr. Jones was co-founder of an aviation parts company. He lived and worked in London and Hong Kong and was responsible for sales in 33 countries. The company grew 9,200% in 3 years and was winner of numerous business awards - ranked # 1 in "Houston's 100 Fastest-Growing Businesses" in 1999 by the Houston Chronicle, ranked # 7 in Dun & Bradstreet and Entrepreneur Magazine's "Hot 100, America's Fastest-Growing New Businesses 1999," and scored one of the Aviation Industries' best web sites rated by Forbes Magazine in 2000. Additionally, Mr. Jones's past work experience includes single-family patio home development, energy trading, and serving as an international sales manager for a Fortune 500 tech firm. Pat received his Political Science degree at the University of Texas at Austin.

Mike Celkis is a partner with the Firm’s tax practice. Based in the Austin office, Mike is responsible for providing domestic tax, financial accounting, and tax consulting services to individuals, corporations, and partnerships in many different industries. He is also responsible for planning and tax compliance reviews for partnerships and corporations with a focus on low-income housing tax credit projects and real estate developers.

Mike has broad knowledge of, and experience in, international tax, energy tax credit services, multifamily and commercial real estate, and carryover allocations and is the firm expert on the Texas Franchise Tax and Section 199 (domestic manufacturing deduction). His clients include not-for-profit housing organizations and experienced developers across the United States. His duties include the planning, supervision and review of tax compliance matters for a substantial number of the Austin office's individual, partnership and corporate tax clients.

Andrew Hill has been in the real estate finance industry for 14 years. He joined Berkadia’s Austin mortgage banking office in February 2010. Prior to joining Berkadia; he spent a short period with Northmarq Capital in Houston and five years in the Houston office of Capmark Finance Inc., a Berkadia predecessor.

Since transitioning into the mortgage banking industry in 2005, Hill has originated or participated in the origination of approximately $2.3 billion in debt financing and equity placement for commercial properties across the United States. Mr. Hill was formerly a Commercial Lending Officer with Sterling Bank, and is a graduate of Sterling Bank's Commercial Credit Training Program.

Mr. Hill is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a BBA in Finance. He is active in the Real Estate Council of Austin, Urban Land Institute’s Young Leader Program, Mortgage Bankers Association, National Multi-Housing Council and the Aggie Real Estate Network. Mr. Hill and his wife, Julie, reside in Austin and have two daughters: Hadley, Elliot and a son, Drew.

Scott joined Northmarq in May 2020 to expand the company’s Investment Sales platform across Texas. He focuses on establishing and maintaining client relationships, and providing advisory, transactional, debt structures and equity sourcing services to multifamily owners and developers. He is part of the company’s Built-to-Rent and Institutional Advisory practice groups.

Prior to joining Northmarq, Scott was a Managing Director and Team Lead at Jones Lang LaSalle for six years, and a Senior Director and senior executive over central Texas for Institutional Property Advisors, a Marcus and Millichap company, for 12 years. During the last 18 years, Scott’s direct transactional and oversight experience exceeds $7 billion. With more than 50,000 apartment units sold, Scott is recognized as a market expert and is frequently called upon to speak or provide commentary at real estate conferences and in media outlets. In addition, Scott serves as an advisor for the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas Beige Book publication.

In addition to his multifamily brokerage experience, Scott served as the regional manager for two of Marcus & Millichap’s flagship offices in Los Angeles and Encino California, and was the Western United States Director for Special Asset Services where he was charged with supporting more than 300 senior agents and creating direct client relationships with many of the nation’s largest financial institutions and servicers.
