With a robust career in the automotive and engineering sectors, David began his

journey as an apprentice in Automotive Body Repair. With over 11 years at Jaguar Land

Rover, he advanced from production line roles to Production Manager. David then

contributed to a project with LDV Vans/Daewoo, helping to develop a new van range.

This was followed by a return to MG Rover Cars to support the business's revival after a

management buyout, a role he held for four years.

In 2005, David joined JCB as Internal Materials Manager for Cab Systems and was

promoted internally to Operations Director. Notably, in 2018, he launched and relocated

a new cab facility in Uttoxeter, England. From 2021 to 2023, he served as Operations

Director for Heavy Products & Compact Products Machine Divisions and Power

Products the JCB UK Genset Business. In 2023, he took on the role of UK HR

Operations Director, and in 2024, David became the Operations Director for JCB Texas

in San Antonio, this new factory build will be the second in North America.

David’s educational background includes a City & Guilds in Vehicle Repair & Refinishing

from Brooklyn Technical College, a Diploma in Engineering Business Management from

the University of Warwick, and a BSc (Hons) in Management from the University of

Central England.

Originally from Birmingham, England, David resides in Tamworth, Staffordshire, with his

wife Tracy. They have a blended family of six grown children and three

grandchildren—Ellie, Evie, and Alfie—along with two Labradoodles.

In his free time, David enjoys running, having completed four European marathons in

London, Paris, Rotterdam, and Venice. He also loves cycling, watching motorsports and

football, as well as restoring and repairing cars.

A seasoned professional in the automotive and engineering industries, David began as

an apprentice in Automotive Body Repair and spent over 11 years at Jaguar Land

Rover, rising to Production Manager. After key roles with LDV Vans and MG Rover, he

joined JCB in 2005, where he became Operations Director after launching a new cab

facility. Most recently the UK HR Operations Director, he has now taken on the

Operations Director role at JCB Texas.

With a City & Guilds in Vehicle Repair, a Diploma in Engineering Business

Management, and a BSc (Hons) in Management, David balances a career with family

life in Tamworth, Staffordshire. An avid runner and cyclist, he enjoys motorsports,

football, and car restoration in his downtime.

Connie Gonzalez

Chief Strategy Officer Connie Gonzalez is responsible for establishing strategic direction to further advance Brooks’ growth, expanding on the success of the last 20 years. In addition, she leads business development, public affairs, community engagement, and project management initiatives. Connie is also the Executive Director of Brooks Gives Back, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that serves as the vehicle by which all members of the Brooks community can invest in nonprofit initiatives impacting people in the neighborhoods surrounding Brooks, which has distributed more than $450,000 since 2019.

Connie joined the Brooks team in November 2015 and previously served as the Director of Strategy & Community Relations and Director of Public Relations. Prior to joining the Brooks team, Connie was a weekend anchor and reporter for both KNWA and KFTA in Fayetteville, Arkansas and KSAN in San Angelo, Texas. Raised in San Antonio, she began her professional career as an intern with News 4 WOAI and worked in public affairs at Spurs Sports & Entertainment.

An advocate for community involvement, Gonzalez serves as an Executive Committee member of the San Antonio Independent School District (SAISD) Foundation and the San Antonio Mobility Coalition (SAMCo). She also serves on the CAST Med High School Advisory Board of Directors, the Texas A&M University – San Antonio Mays Center Community Advisory Council, and on the City of San Antonio’ Removing Barriers to Housing Technical Group.

Connie previously served as Chair for the City of San Antonio’s Planning Commission and Chair for the South Texas Business Partnership Board of Directors, formerly known as the South San Antonio Chamber of Commerce. In addition, she participated in the 2021 Harvard Business School Young American Leaders Program. A graduate of Leadership San Antonio Class 44, the City South Leadership Class 30 and the North Chamber Innovative Leadership Program, Gonzalez also served on the Leadership San Antonio Class 45 Steering Committee.

Jason Arechiga

Jason Arechiga joined The NRP Group in 2012 as a Land Acquisition Specialist and now serves as Senior Vice President of Development.

He is responsible for the company’s affordable housing and mixed-income portfolio throughout Texas. His primary duties include sourcing and entitling new projects, from land acquisition to the start of construction, and he does the preliminary underwriting of all development deals.

Arechiga fosters strong working relationships with housing authorities, government agencies, and other development partners, ensuring a smooth and collaborative approach to achieving shared goals. These relationships and shared goals have led to many creative approaches to financing affordable housing throughout the state of Texas. He serves on the board of the Texas Association of Local Housing Finance Agencies and is an active member of the Texas Affiliation of Affordable Housing Providers.

Prior to joining NRP, Arechiga was the co-owner and manager of Hillstar Investments, a single-family residential development firm in South and Central Texas for more than a decade. He also served as an adjunct professor at Alamo Colleges teaching both Texas and U.S. history courses. Arechiga currently serves as the board chair of Any Baby Can, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing direction and guidance for families of children and youth with special needs. Arechiga holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Texas A&M University and a master’s degree in military history from Norwich University.

A principal in the Corporate and Commercial as well as Civic and Cultural market sectors, Adrianna leads the firm’s efforts to advance growth in San Antonio.

With wide experience in multifamily product types and various markets, he is focused on creating vibrant residential communities that contribute to the density and diversity of downtown. Mark has a successful track record of multifamily development from project origination through construction execution and stabilization and has been instrumental in the creation of thousands of residential units in Texas and other regions of the country. Before Joining Weston Urban, previous employers include Landmark Properties, The NRP Group, Sares-Regis Group, and the Taubman Company. With Landmark Properties, Mark focused on developing purpose-built student housing communities across various University-centric markets around the country. With The NRP Group he was responsible for the origination and execution of market rate developments throughout the state of Texas with a focus on urban and suburban class “A” mixed-use communities. Mark earned his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Brigham Young University and his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. While still a Detroit Pistons fan at heart, he has adopted the Spurs as his western conference team and he and his lovely wife Carrie have two creative and energetic daughters, Kaylie and Brynn.

Joe Bright, SIOR is a Partner in the company’s Office Tenant Representation division, specializing in the representation of commercial real estate users with their facility needs. He handles a range of transactional activities including lease renewals, relocations, and expansions, along with the purchase and sale of commercial property.

Prior to joining Partners, Joe was an Associate with S.E. Covington & Company, a locally owned boutique Commercial Real Estate firm. During his time there, Joe represented office tenants, as well as purchasers and sellers of investment properties.

Joe is a formerly-practicing Attorney, whose transactional law practice centered around representing and advising energy industry clients in the exploration and production of oil and gas.

Joe enjoys spending his free time outdoors with his wife Lauren and their two children, friends, and two Labradors.

Bobby Magee

Bobby Magee is a seasoned Commercial Real Estate (CRE) entrepreneur and the Managing Partner at Escalera Capital, a vertically integrated private equity firm with a dynamic portfolio spanning hospitality, retail, industrial, mixed-use, and experiential properties. He runs Escalera Capital’s platform, including several operating companies such as a hotel management firm (Presidian), a data-driven feasibility company (Source Strategies), a construction services business (GMSA), and a commercial real estate services firm (Mulberry Realty Partners).

With a background in investment banking and a proven track record in property investment, development, and fund management, Magee has built a platform driven by capital formation, acquisitions, development, and asset management. His ventures have received multiple industry accolades, including the ConnectCRE Next Generation Award and San Antonio Startups to Watch.

Starting his career as a lead analyst on $1.5 billion worth of commercial properties, Magee later became the CFO of a development firm managing $250 million in AUM, where he launched a $30 million equity fund targeting diverse real estate assets. He founded his own CRE investment firm while still in college, which evolved into MLSA Ventures and later rebranded into Escalera Capital, reflecting the firm’s expanded scope and impact.

Under Magee’s leadership, Escalera Capital has raised significant capital for hotel equity funds, completed complex adaptive reuse projects, and established a high-performing private equity platform known for transformative real estate investments.

A graduate of Trinity University with a degree in Finance and a minor in Economics, Magee leverages his academic foundation and entrepreneurial spirit to drive market innovation, operational excellence, and long-term value creation in the CRE industry.
