Spencer Levy

Spencer Levy is Global Client Strategist and Senior Economic Advisor for CBRE, the largest commercial real estate services firm in the world. In this role, he focuses on client engagement and public-facing activities, including thought leadership work performed in conjunction with CBRE Research. He also serves as Co-Chair of the Real Estate Roundtable’s Research Committee. Spencer is frequently quoted in major business publications and appears on business television, including CNBC, CNN, Bloomberg, PBS and Fox Business. Spencer is the host of CBRE’s podcast “The Weekly Take.” He is considered one of the most insightful commentators on issues of importance to commercial real estate. Spencer has 27 years of experience in commercial real estate, including the past 15 at CBRE. In this time, he has served as a lawyer, investment banker, capital markets and senior research leader. He leverages that varied background to formulate advice and create presentations that go deep and touch on all aspects of commercial real estate. His thoughtful analysis, coupled with a highly engaging presenting style, has made him one of the most sought-after commentators and advisors in the industry. Spencer regularly speaks at major events of the country’s leading commercial real estate organizations, including CORENET, NAIOP, ULI, ICSC, NAREIM and CREW. He also has guest lectured at his alma maters Harvard and Cornell, as well as Columbia, NYU, Johns Hopkins, Indiana, Georgetown, Pitt, UCLA, USC, Ohio State and many others. Spencer is a recipient of multiple industry awards, including a two-time winner of the CORENET Luminary Award for Excellence in Public Speaking, the CBRE Trammell Crow Master Builder Award, the CBRE Gary J. Beban Teamwork Award, the CBRE Capital Markets “MVP”, and was named a State of Maryland Influencer in Real Estate and was recently given the Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in Commercial Real Estate by the Daily Record. While a New Yorker for most of his life, Spencer currently resides in Baltimore with his wife of 23 years and their three children. Spencer serves on the board of the Baltimore Leadership School for Young Women.

President and Chief Executive Officer Leo Gomez is responsible for leading the Brooks Development Authority and Brooks Gives Back by working with the Board of Directors and staff to establish long-range strategic plans and policies to implement the redevelopment of Brooks and regional prosperity. He leads the organization’s efforts to attract marquee employers by working closely with public officials, economic development partners, and the private sector. Leo became Vice President of Public and Government Affairs for Spurs Sports & Entertainment in 1996. He left Spurs Sports & Entertainment for two years to serve as General Manager of Administration with Toyota Manufacturing, Texas before returning to Spurs Sports & Entertainment in 2005. His distinguished career also includes serving as President of the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Vice President of Governmental Affairs for the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce. Leo began his professional career as an intern with the U.S. General Accounting Office in Washington, D.C. He also worked with the Research and Planning Division with the Texas Department of Commerce before being named the Assistant Director for the Tomas Rivera Center at Trinity University. Leo is very active in the San Antonio community serving on the Board of Directors of numerous organizations including greater:SATX and the San Antonio Mobility Coalition. He also graduated from the FBI San Antonio Citizens Academy. Leo has received a number of local and national recognitions, including being featured in the Notable People of San Antonio 2020 Exhibit, named to the San Antonio Business Journal’s list of national commercial real estate influencers in 2019 and earning Power Broker recognition from the San Antonio Express-News. Leo also received the San Antonio Business Journal’s C-Suite Award in September 2018 and was named a “Legend” for his lasting impact on the Southside by the South San Antonio Chamber of Commerce in 2017.

Timothy N. Ramon is a 3rd generation Demolition Contractor. As President of JR RAMON Demolition, LLC., he has nearly 30 years of experience in the demolition industry and previously served as a Director on the Board of the National Demolition Association, an organization in which he remains heavily involved. JR RAMON was the first, licensed demolition contractor in San Antonio and has provided demolition and support services to Austin, San Antonio and South Texas for over 50 years. The company earned its excellent reputation for safety and demolition expertise by providing on-call demolition services to state, federal and municipal entities throughout Central and South Texas. They provide residential, commercial, and industrial demolition – from selective to total demolition services, as well as bridge demolition, concrete removal, roll-off dumpster service, site preparation and restoration, disaster emergency response, and debris removal and final disposition resulting from natural disasters. In addition, JR RAMON owns and operates a concrete crushing facility to produce top grade recycled concrete aggregate material for use in the construction of commercial and residential developments and infrastructure. After 75 years in business, JR RAMON continues to be an integral part of re-shaping the San Antonio and Austin urban skylines by clearing the way for new developments. The company still operates under the founder’s original vision of creating a company that will provide employment opportunities for the families in the community. Joe Ramon, Sr. started J.R. Ramon & Sons as a “mom and pop” business after returning from WWII in 1945.
