Norman Radow

Founder & CEO

The RADCO Companies

Norman Radow established The RADCO Companies in 1994, founded on his lifelong passion to improve the

lives of people and neighborhoods. Norman was born and raised in public housing in Brooklyn, New York. His

harrowing experiences as a young boy showed him firsthand the influence that property management and

public policy can have on the quality of life for residents and the greater community.

Norman founded The RADCO Companies, a real estate investment firm, in 1994 focusing on developing for-

sale urban condominiums until 2006. Then it pivoted to manage workouts and became the leading

restructuring firm in the United States, overseeing much of Lehman Brothers’ real estate assets in bankruptcy.

RADCO identified multifamily as the next investment opportunity coming off the Great Recession in 2010.

Since then, RADCO acquired and invested in approximately 30,000 apartment units in 15 markets and

completed and sold over 100 multifamily transactions totaling $3.2 billion. Norman launched Radco

Residential in 2014, to deliver superior human-centric data-driven property management, construction, and

asset management services for The RADCO Companies’ rapidly evolving portfolio and for third party clients.

The company delivered substantial operational success while embracing a warm and nurturing culture and

cutting-edge business practices while always delivering on life lessons that Norman learned in his youth.

In addition to multifamily, RADCO’s Hospitality Division was created in 2021 in response to the pandemic’s

operational and capital markets disruptions. RADCO has since acquired twelve hotels in three states and

continues to seek out hospitality assets in the southeast US as well as other markets.

Norman was the long-time chairman of Kennesaw State University’s Board of Trustees, serves on The Board

of New York Law School, and along with his family, is an active philanthropist. He has received many awards

for his service to the community. In 2020, the State of Georgia Board of Regents named “The Norman J.

Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences” after him. Norman was awarded an honorary PhD in 2023

from KSU. He also earned a Juris Doctor from New York Law School and a BA in history from SUNY

Plattsburgh.

Why You Should Attend Atlanta State of the Market

Why This Matters:

Atlanta continues to hold a prominent position in the national commercial real estate landscape, named CBRE's 2026 North America Investor Intentions Survey's #2 market. With a metro projected to grow to nearly 7.9 million residents by 2050 and a diversified economic, Atlanta continues to draw significant institutional capital, corporate tenants and relocations, and development activity at a pace that reflects this lofty positioning.

But the Atlanta story in 2026 isn't solely about growth, as much continues to shift. ATL Zoning 2.0 represents the first comprehensive overhaul of the city's land use code since 1982, is moving toward City Council adoption and will reshape the entitlement landscape. Artificial intelligence has reached an inflection point that the industry (or any industry) can no longer sidestep. The firms getting ahead are deploying it in underwriting, portfolio analysis, and operations today. Downtown Atlanta has seen significant private investment around the 2026 World Cup, bringing impactful and needed attention to the city's core.

What's getting built? How is AI actually changing the way work gets done? What did the World Cup deliver for downtown, and where does that story go next? Where is capital moving, and what does it take to get a deal across the finish line? Bisnow's Atlanta State of the Market brings together the city's most active developers, investors, and industry leaders to answer these questions and put you in position to land your next deal.

What You'll Learn:

  • What will ATL Zoning 2.0 change for the development ecosystem and projects in the pipeline today?

  • Which asset types pencil most frequently today, and what does it take to make a development viable from entitlement through delivery?

  • What are Atlanta's most active firms using AI for today and what separates real adoption from hype?

  • What did the World Cup deliver for downtown Atlanta in hotel performance and foot traffic, and which projects did it trigger that might not have happened otherwise?

  • Where does the downtown investment story go next on the back of this momentum?

  • Where is institutional and private capital concentrating in Atlanta, and where can value-add opportunities be found?

  • How are Atlanta's most active investors navigating debt maturities, identifying distress, and structuring capital in a way that works, today?
