Jarod Hall

Owner

Di'velept Design

Jarod Hall is the principal architect at di’velept design and has spent more than twenty years moving between the construction site and the design studio. He came into architecture through the building trades, which shaped his practical, no-nonsense approach to design. Today, he leads di’velept with that same mindset: keep things simple, build what makes sense, and make the process easier for everyone involved.

Much of Jarod’s recent work centers on townhomes, infill housing, and neighborhood-scale projects in Salt Lake City. Over the past five years alone, he has served as project principal on more than forty projects nationwide, overseeing over 2.4 million square feet and $354 million in construction. He’s especially proud of the work di’velept has contributed in the Euclid neighborhood, where a cluster of thoughtful projects has helped strengthen a community he cares about.

Jarod’s role blends design vision with hands-on coordination. He is closely involved in each project—working directly with owners, consultants, and contractors to keep communication clear and development moving forward. Clients rely on him for straightforward problem-solving, buildable drawings, and an approach that puts function and usability ahead of architectural ego.

Outside the office, Jarod stays involved in community work. He serves on the Fairpark Community Council board and on the Real Estate Committee for the Community Development Corporation of Utah, where he supports efforts around infill housing and community land trust development.

At the end of the day, Jarod loves architecture because of what it can do: make neighborhoods better, support the people who live in them, and turn a complex process into something enjoyable and collaborative.

Why You Should Attend the National Self Storage Conference

Why This Matters:

Self-Storage has evolved from a niche asset type into an increasingly institutionalized and actively traded asset types. With the U.S. market surpassing a value of $45 Billion in 2025, and projected to reach nearly $60 Billion over the next decade, the sector continues to attract investment interest from publicly traded REIT's to regional operators and most everything in between as firms seek stable returns and recession resilience. As the overarching real estate markets navigate challenging interest rate and underwriting dynamics, 2025 came with $5.9 Billion in transaction volume as of late November, up from an estimated $3 Billion in 2024

However, as the sector matures, challenges have become more complex. Increased institutional ownership is reshaping pricing and competition, compressing yields and pushing investors towards secondary and tertiary markets more commonly. Developers face heightened zoning scrutiny, elongated entitlement timelines, community opposition, and increasing market saturation. Cost escalation, design complexity, and conversion challenges are forcing operators to rethink how facilities are planned, built, and optimized for long-term performance.

This national event, to be hosted in Atlanta, will explore where capital is flowing, how strategies are evolving, and how development and design practices are adapting to a more disciplined and competitive environment. Join Bisnow, and our assembled panelists, to better position yourself for activity in this dynamic sector.

What You'll Learn:

  • How are institutional investors, shifting interest rates, and refined underwriting discipline reshaping acquisitions, portfolio optimization, and investment strategies across core annd emerging markets?

  • Where are investors finding value today through creative financing, geographic targeting, and selective timing to maximize returns?

  • How are developers overcoming zoning barriers, friction in project approvals, and community opposition to unlock high value sites in competitive markets?

  • How are market saturation and municipal scrutiny shifting site selection for the next wave of projects?

  • How is creative design is driving stronger performance through practices like multi-story facilities, infill execution and conversions?

  • Where are owners and developers finding cost efficiencies, operational savings and long-term value?
