Steve Berman developed his first office building in 1988 and founded OA Development in 1993. Steve has since led OA to develop and acquire more than three million square feet of industrial and office space, becoming a market leader in the commercial real estate industry; working with tenants such as: Coca Cola, General Dynamics, ADP, Bank of America, Porsche, Lonza, Sumitomo and Toys R Us. OA Development has been active in Georgia, Ohio, Florida and North Carolina.

Steve engages a wide range of issues in publications including The Atlanta Business Chronicle, The Atlanta Journal Constitution, The Forward and The Atlanta Jewish Times. He is a graduate of the Wexner Heritage Program and is an active community leader. Steve has served as President of the Greenfield Hebrew Academy, The Jewish Vocational Service (now Jewish Family and Career Service), and he is a co-founder and Past President of The Weber School. He serves on the Founding National Board of Young Judaea.

Steve earned his BA in Political Science from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. He resides in Atlanta with his wife. Steve enjoys biking and running.

Natalie Plowden Martin is a Senior Property Manager with Duke Realty Corporation where she manages a portfolio of more than 5 million square feet of commercial real estate in the Atlanta area. She is an active member of BOMA Georgia where she serves on the Board of Directors, many special task forces, committees and volunteers at Hillside.

She serves as the Chair of the Airport West CID Community Improvement District (CID) in South Fulton and on the Board of Directors for the Atlanta Aerotropolis Alliance.

Natalie is a native of Atlanta, Georgia and graduate of Woodward Academy. She attended Florida A & M University (FAMU) with a Bachelors of Science in Accounting and a minor in Economics.

She has been featured in Florida Real Estate Magazine (2008) “30 Under 30,” Real Estate Forum Magazine (2008) “Real Estate’s Rising Stars,” Ebony Magazine (2009) “Emerging Leaders” and Real Estate Florida Magazine (2009) “ Women of Influence.”

Natalie is a member of the Atlanta Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Dogwood City Chapter Links, Inc., 1 Step Above, INROADS Alumni Association and Metro Atlanta FAMU Alumni Association.

She is married to Clinton Tyler-Martin.

Alvin Nash has more than 40 years experience in development with extensive ties to various groups involved in economic development public policy, business growth and job creation. Prior to joining Progress Partners in 2009, Nash was executive vice president for The Coleman Group, a top residential developer in the metro area. He’s also held numerous positions within the real estate and economic development market around metro Atlanta for the past four decades. A certified process manager, Nash is certified by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs to mediate land use conflicts between local governments. He is a current member of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and past co-chair of its Environmental and Transportation Committee. Nash is a past chairman of the Regional Business Coalition, an association of more than a dozen Chambers of Commerce across metro Atlanta. Additionally, he is the current chairman of the Council for Quality Growth, a 30-year-old non-profit organization working on growth and development issues within the Atlanta region.

Vance Burgess is a Senior Director in the Legal Department at Chick-fil-A, Inc. where he provides legal oversight in connection with Chick-fil-A’s new restaurant development. Prior to joining Chick-fil-A as an in-house attorney, Vance was in the real estate practice group of Troutman Sanders LLP, an international law firm, specializing in retail development transactions and representing regional and national real estate developers, including Chick-fil-A. In between undergraduate school and law school, Vance honed his real estate focus as a CPA in the Real Estate and Construction Practice Group of KPMG, an international accounting firm. Vance graduated from The George Washington University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and from The University of Georgia School of Law with a J.D.

Vance is an active volunteer for Meals on Wheels Atlanta and currently serves on its Board of Trustees, having previously served as Chairman and as Treasurer. He is also a former member of the Board of Trustees, and a graduate, of The Paideia School in Atlanta.

Vance and his wife of over 17 years, who is also an attorney, have two children, ages 10 and 14. They live in the City of Atlanta not far from where he grew up and attended Paideia. When he is not working or spending time with his family, Mr. Burgess enjoys golf, fishing and running.

Neal Golden joined Newmark Grubb Knight Frank in 2002. As a vice chairman, he leads a full-time real estate advisory practice focusing on these core capabilities. Best known for his aggressive strategic approach with a proven track record of success, Mr. Golden leads a team of experts in the practice areas of space utilization, strategic planning and financial services. Lewis (“Lew”) C. Horne Jr. is a partner in the Corporate and Securities Practice and the Government and Regulatory Practice.

Mr. Horne has over 35 years of experience in the corporate and securities and public finance arenas and has served in virtually every legal role in an assortment of public finance transactions across the nation. He maintains a traditional governmental finance practice and also assists with financings for entities such as 501(c)(3) organizations, private universities and schools, and public and private hospitals. In addition to traditional bond and issuer’s counsel work, he has served as underwriter’s counsel and disclosure counsel for banks and investment banking firms in connection with bond issues, and is particularly attuned to federal securities considerations relating to public finance and other matters. Currently, Mr. Horne serves as a gubernatorial appointee on the board of directors for Georgia Regents Health System, Inc., an academic medical center and comprehensive health system affiliated with the state medical school based in Augusta, Georgia.

Mr. Horne represents the Development Authority of Fulton County, one of the most prolific issuers of local debt in the southeastern United States, in connection with the issuance of $15 billion in private activity, 501(c)(3) and taxable bonds for a variety of projects including hospitals, museums, schools, multifamily housing, retirement care, and commercial and industrial uses. Mr. Horne also represented the Fulton-

DeKalb Hospital Authority in connection with the review and implementation of a proposed restructuring plan, which led to the leasing of the facilities of Grady Health System, the largest hospital in Georgia, to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation created for the purpose of operating the hospital as a private nonprofit facility.

Mr. Horne was the first minority lawyer to serve on the board of directors of the National Association of Bond Lawyers ("NABL"), and was one of the first black lawyers in the country to be listed in the Bond Buyer’s Municipal Marketplace (the “Red Book”), a national directory of bond lawyers and law firms. He has held numerous leadership positions in public finance activities for the NABL and the American Bar Association. He spent 19 years as an Associate County Attorney in Fulton County, Georgia, and served as acting chief legal officer of the Fulton-DeKalb Hospital Authority/Grady Health System on a 16-month loaned executive assignment. A former president of the National Minority Golf Foundation, Mr. Horne was inducted into the National Black Golf Hall of Fame in 2008.
