As Chief Development Officer for Selig Development Company, Baile oversees Selig’s commercial, residential, and mixed-use development platform. Co-founding Selig Development alongside Scott Selig in 2014, Baile is recognized as one of Atlanta’s leading developers whose dossier accounts for over 5,500,000 square feet of commercial, hospitality, residential and mixed-use developments and acquisitions.

Current projects include three new towers started in 2018, The Epicurean Atlanta Hotel, 40 West 12th Street (Condominiums) and 1105 West Peachtree (Office) plus street-level retail. The Works, a mixed-use 80+/- acre development on Atlanta's Upper Westside represent 1.5 million square feet of office, residential, retail and entertainment, 550 North Highland (residential) and two additional towers in Midtown round out Selig Development's current initiatives. Baile's ventures represent in excess of $2.5 Billion in the Atlanta Region since 2004.

A graduate of Auburn University, professional and civic associations include: National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), Urban Land Institute (ULI), Atlanta Apartment Association and Board of Directors for the Midtown Alliance.

Mr. Heagy is a senior managing director and is responsible for the leasing and marketing of the office projects and for securing corporate services and mixed-use development assignments in the Southeast Region of the United States. Mr. Heagy joined the firm in 1996 and has been active in Atlanta's commercial real estate market since 1977.

Heagy received his BA in Political Science from the University of Georgia. Mr. Heagy serves on the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors, Central Atlanta Progress (CAP); Metro Atlanta Chamber; and the Perimeter Community Improvement District (PCID).

As Chief Development Officer, Travis Garland oversees the day-to-day business across all asset classes at Portman, playing a key role in shaping strategy, executing transactions, and driving the development of new and existing product types.

Previously, Travis served as Managing Director of Office at Portman, where he led transactions totaling over $4 billion in gross value, including leasing, operations, and dispositions. He is an active member of NAIOP and ULI. His achievements have earned him recognition as a NAIOP “Top Producer” in 2014 and 2018, as well as the #2 Producer in 2016, 2020, and 2021. He was also named one of Real Estate Forum’s 40 Under 40 in 2014 and has been recognized as a CoStar Power Broker from 2013 to 2021.

Travis holds a B.B.A. in real estate from the University of Georgia and is a licensed Broker in Georgia and North Carolina. He has been active in commercial real estate since 2005.

Gene Rice is a native Atlantan who graduated from The University of Georgia with a degree in Consumer Economics. As a co-founder of Vantage Realty Partners, in 2007, Gene has built the business from the ground up, developing strong relationships with neighbors, business owners, investors and developers alike. His primary focus is to create value on projects that have a positive impact on the entire community.

Gene has forged a niche in tenant representation and site selection in the office, retail and restaurant markets. He also works with principals on investment properties ranging from retail centers to land and mixed-use developments.

Gene and his wife Isabel live in Virginia Highland with their two children. The couple is very active in their community, having founded the highly successful Zoo Atlanta fundraiser, Jazzoo (www.JazzooAtlanta.org) in 2008. In addition, in 2008 Gene and Isabel partnered with Catholic Charities to bring Adopt-A-Family to their parish, the Cathedral of Christ the King. Through this program, they have helped over 300 families in need each year during the Christmas season.

Gene is a member of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors, International Council of Shopping Centers, YCR, Old 4th Ward Business Association, Christian Business Leaders, the Capital Group, JAZZOO Atlanta Board, and Adopt-A-Family.

CURT RIGNEY HELD EVERY POSITION IN PROJECT MANAGEMENT AT BATSON-COOK AS HE ADVANCED TO BECOME THE FIRST SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT AND GENERAL MANAGER OF BATSON-COOK’S CHARLOTTE DIVISION, WHICH WAS FORMALLY ESTABLISHED IN 2016. HE CARRIES OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE DIVISION’S STRATEGIC PLANNING AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ALONG WITH THE SUCCESSFUL DELIVERY OF ALL PROJECTS MANAGED BY THE CHARLOTTE OFFICE.

With more than two decades of construction experience, Curt has managed projects ranging from $3.5 million to $400 million, and his personal portfolio tops $1.2 billion. He has spent more than half of his career with Batson-Cook – which he likes to call “the small feel big work company” – and considers his role as senior project manager for Duke Energy Center in Charlotte to be his greatest career accomplishment to date.

As an advocate and advisor for companies who lease or own real estate, Ken Ashley has worked for

nearly 30 years to help business leadership translate business strategy into real estate solutions. He

represents companies all over the United States that lease or purchase space for their business needs.

He has transacted over $2.3 billion in leases during his career.

Ken and his team are perennial top producers in Atlanta and at Cushman & Wakefield nationally. Ken is

a writer for and a member of the Forbes Real Estate Council. He is also the immediate past chairman of

Cushman & Wakefield’s Tenant Advisory Group, comprised of the company’s highest-performing brokers

and is an award-winning instructor in his trade organization CoreNet Global. He also founded and leads

www.creisummit.com which is focused on excellence in commercial real estate marketing and social

media.

Ken has a strong desire to pay his “civic rent” and serves with several not-for-profit organizations. He was

the chair for the 2018 class of Leadership Atlanta and currently serves on the Board. Ken is active in

Scouts USA where he advises nationally on property-related issues and serves on the local Council

Board. Ken has chaired “visitations” evaluations of all 4 national high adventure bases. Ken is an Eagle

Scout and served as a Philmont Ranger for 2 years…just a few years ago.

In the Atlanta community, Ken Chairs the Fulton County Sheriff’s Foundation, and the Board of Invest

Atlanta Foundation. He also serves on the Board of the Atlanta Police Foundation’s Crime Stoppers Task

Force and the youth-serving organization Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps.

Ken resides in a suburb of Atlanta and has been married to his awesome wife Karen for 31 years and is

the proud father of 4 great kids and 1 very lazy pug.

Stephanie Friese is a strategic advocate and negotiator who represents commercial real estate clients across the United States in both transactional and litigation matters. She is a founding and managing partner of Pursley Friese Torgrimson. Previously, she founded and managed Friese Legal for 13 years as one of the first woman-owned, woman-managed law firms certified by Women’s Business Enterprise National Council.

Stephanie is involved in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, from acquisition of land, to leasing, foreclosure, construction, and disposition. While she makes every effort to minimize a client’s inherent risks, she also litigates her client’s real estate issues related to the development, leasing and management of real estate.

Her clients include businesses that own and develop properties, as well as lenders, owners and investors involved in financing, acquisitions and dispositions of commercial office and industrial properties across the country. She brings extensive experience in all matters related to commercial real estate law and litigation for retail, industrial, office and mixed use property.
