Brand is the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board for Brand Properties which he founded in 1998. As the CEO of Brand Properties, Brand has been responsible for overseeing the development of industrial, office, retail, multi-family, and mixed-use projects throughout Atlanta and the Southeast Region. He currently manages the development, acquisition, and disposition strategy for Brand Properties' real estate holdings and manages over 4 million square feet of third-party assets. Brand was the recipient of the Atlanta Business Chronicle's and Georgia Trend's 40 under 40 and honored by the Association of Fundraising Professionals as the Philanthropic Leader of Tomorrow Brand is the Chairman of the Home of Hope at the Gwinnett Children's Shelter, as well as a member of the Board of Directors for The Westminster Schools, Board of Directors of Trinity School, a member of the University of Georgia Board of Visitors and Regional Board of Directors for the University of Virginia where he received a bachelor's degree in economics. Brand also serves on the Board of the Buckhead Coalition and Chairs the Sugarloaf Community Improvement District. With years of experience in real estate development, deal structuring and financing. along with great leadership, Brand continues to pave a path of success for the Brand Properties team.

As President of Ackerman Retail, the retail division of Ackerman & Co., Leo Wiener directs the growth of the group’s

national services platform, spearheading developments, acquisitions, leasing and property management. With

industry leadership experience spanning more than 25 years, Leo has made numerous strategic staff additions to

strengthen Ackerman Retail’s comprehensive services and deliver solid results to its growing roster of local and multi-

market clients. To date, the Ackerman’s Retail division has completed nearly 10 million square feet of transactions valued at more than $1 billion.

Prior to joining Ackerman, Leo was a Principal and Partner of Glenwood Development Company, concentrating on

retail development and redevelopment in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic; and Managing Director at an Atlanta-based

boutique real estate firm.

Deeply involved in the community, Leo is Chairman of the Board of the Gwinnett Place Community Improvement

District, a board member of the High Point Civic Association and the lead Advisor to Sweetwater Growers.

Michael Hartman is responsible for CSH’s Active Living platform, which focuses on investing in assets catering to residents who are Over 55. This opportunity includes acquiring and renovating existing assets, as well as developing new assets that are uniquely tailored to this community. Michael brings more than two decades of commercial real estate principal and advisory expertise to his role with CSH.

Prior to joining CSH, Michael was director of Investments, Senior Housing for Cortland Partners focusing exclusively on Active Living assets. Over a two-year period, he executed six transactions totaling over 1,200 units and deployed $140 Million of capital. Prior to that, he ran the Real Estate Division of Cohn Reznick Capital Markets, providing services that included debt and equity financing, M&A advisory, due diligence, and strategic investment advisement.

Michael’s extensive experience also includes a previous stint with CSH where he was part of the team that launched the original effort in 2003. In the past, Michael served as Vice President for Sunrise Senior Living, Inc. and Deutsche Banc Alex Brown, respectively. Michael has also worked as an associate and analyst for Prudential Securities Incorporated and The Yarmouth Group, respectively. Michael began his finance career as a loan officer with Shawmut Bank in Boston, Massachusetts.

Michael received his MBA in Finance and Real Estate from The Wharton School and holds his bachelor’s degree in Economics from Connecticut College.

Kirkland Carden, a former Duluth City Council member, was first elected to the District 1 seat of the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners in 2020. District 1 includes the cities of Berkeley Lake, Duluth, Norcross, Peachtree Corners, and portions of Suwanee and Lawrenceville. At age 29, he was elected to the Duluth City Council, becoming the first millennial and the first African-American council member in the city.

An Ohio native, Kirkland's family relocated to Duluth in 2004. In 2007, Kirkland graduated from Duluth High School. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Georgia State University. Carden was elected to the Duluth City Council in 2017. He also served on the Duluth Urban Redevelopment Authority.

In his professional capacity, he has assisted state and local governments in developing, maintaining, and implementing transportation plans. Additional responsibilities have included budget oversight and facilitating compliance with local land use and zoning ordinances.

For the past decade, he has volunteered as a member of the Duluth Zoning Board of Appeals, Duluth Citizens Budget Advisory Committee, Rainbow Village Millennials Advisory Panel, Gwinnett 101, and the Duluth Fall Festival. The Georgia Municipal Association named him to the 2019 inaugural cohort of the 20 Under 40 Focus Group.

Andrew Carnes serves as the Vice President of Economic Development for Partnership Gwinnett. He joined Partnership Gwinnett in

2015 as the Director of Economic Development and was promoted to Senior Director of Economic Development in 2017.

As the VP of Economic Development, Carnes oversees the countywide economic development strategy which includes business

recruitment and retention efforts, redevelopment, entrepreneurship, workforce development, as well as industry programs and events.

In this role Carnes also oversees the international marketing efforts for Gwinnett County and has been invited to participate in

international delegations to the headquarters of many Gwinnett companies, including those in Belgium, the Czech Republic, China,

France, Germany, South Korea, and Switzerland.

Prior to Partnership Gwinnett, Carnes served as the Executive Director for the Dalton-Whitfield County Joint Development Authority

where he managed and directed the countywide economic development strategy, including existing industry expansion services and

recruitment of new business. During his time in Dalton-Whitfield Carnes helped to land the Engineered Floors project which created

2,400 jobs and $450 million in investment. This project was selected as GEDA’s Deal of the Year Award, Area Development’s Golden

Shovel Award, Trade & Industry Development’s CiCi Award for Community Impact, and a Top Project of the Year by Site Selection

Magazine.

Over the course of his career, Carnes has assisted in creating over $2.1 billion in capital investment and over 12,000 jobs.

He is currently a member of the Georgia Economic Developer’s Association (GEDA), the International Economic Development Council

and the Southern Economic Development Council (SEDC). He serves on the GEDA Young Professionals committee and is the past

Co-Chairman of SEDC’s Young Professionals committee for 2015 and 2016.

Carnes earned a bachelor’s degree in business economics from Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, GA and graduated

from the University of Oklahoma’s Economic Development Institute in 2015.

Kevin Dodson joined Jackson EMC in 2020 and serves as a Business Development Manager in the Gwinnett District. As a Business Development Manager, Kevin provides customized, personal service for the energy needs of businesses and industries. In addition, he plays a key role in recruiting businesses and industries to support economic development in Jackson EMC’s service area. Prior to Jackson EMC, Kevin served as a Senior Project Manager at the Georgia Department of Economic Development where he worked statewide to bring jobs and investment to the State of Georgia. He is currently a member of the Duluth Rotary Club, Georgia Economic Developers Association, and Southern Economic Developers Council. Kevin earned his bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Augusta University in Augusta, GA where he was

also a student athlete as a member of the baseball team. Kevin currently resides in Peachtree Corners with his wife Emily.

Jeffrey S. Fuqua is the founder of Fuqua Development, LP. He was previously Board Member, Partner & President of The Sembler Company. In his nearly 25-year tenure there, Fuqua developed in excess of 14 million square feet in over 80 projects valued at $4 billion. During Jeff's tenure with Sembler, The Atlanta Business Chronicle named The Sembler Company Top Developer for eleven consecutive years since 2000. Major real estate projects include The Prado, Town Brookhaven, Edgewood Retail District, Lindbergh Plaza, Perimeter Place, Lenox Marketplace in Atlanta. In Florida, Fuqua developed Legacy in Palm Beach Gardens, and Boynton Beach Town Center.
