Union Dallas Breaks Ground And New Tenant Announced

Dirt flew at the intersection of Field Street and Cedar Springs today when developers of The Union Dallas broke ground on the 800k SF office, residential and retail project.

RED Development VP of development Jeff Moloznik told us the celebration could not have gone any better, with a great round of speakers, including Tom Thumb president Dennis Bassler, whose company leased 60k SF for a new store at the project–the first grocery store in the area. Reps from Weaver, an accounting firm that has taken 58k SF in the office tower, and Vinson & Elkins, which has taken 82k SF, also spoke.

Jeff reveals that a surprise tenant was announced: Fox Restaurant Concepts. The company is opening a 10k SF restaurant called The Henry. The Henry is the company’s most exclusive restaurant brand. And the new building is already attracting relos: Streetlights Residential, which is the partner for the residential element of the project, is moving to the tower.

Jeff will be speaking at Bisnow's DFW mixed-use forum May 19—join us to hear all about The Union Dallas and more!
