SelectLeaders’ Client Seeks Director of Property Management at Hospitality-Driven Multifamily Management Company

The company specializes in multifamily operations, residential experiences and asset performance, bringing a white-glove, data-driven approach to leasing, pricing and property operations. Its focus is delivering exceptional resident experiences while maximizing net operating income. The firm is now expanding into traditional property management through a strategic partnership with an established multifamily developer, building a new platform that brings a hospitality-driven approach to Class A multifamily properties, supported by sophisticated accounting, technology and operational infrastructure.
This is a full-time, in-office role and a foundational leadership hire with significant influence over the company’s long-term operational strategy and growth. The Director will design and implement the property management operating model from the ground up while overseeing day-to-day operations across the initial multifamily portfolio, serving as the critical link between ownership, finance and on-site operations. The position carries a salary range of $120,000 to $140,000 annually, plus a discretionary annual bonus.
Key Responsibilities of this role include:
Designing and implementing the property management operating model, including the systems, policies and processes that support company growth
Developing standardized operating procedures across leasing, maintenance, resident experience, compliance, vendor management, collections, reporting and turnover
Evaluating, selecting and implementing core technology systems, including property management software, work order systems and reporting infrastructure
Establishing KPIs, operating cadences and budgeting, forecasting and variance review processes
Leading day-to-day operations to drive occupancy, collections, resident retention, revenue growth and NOI performance
Overseeing maintenance operations, capital project coordination, vendor performance and regulatory compliance, including fair housing and local landlord-tenant laws
Recruiting, hiring, training and leading property management and operational teams while defining organizational structure as the platform scales
Serving as a trusted operational partner to ownership, delivering executive-level reporting and participating in acquisition underwriting and portfolio growth planning
This role will be a fit for you if you hold a bachelor’s degree and bring eight to 15 or more years of progressive multifamily property management leadership experience, including demonstrated success overseeing sizable residential portfolios. You should have experience launching, building or significantly improving a property management platform, division or region, along with strong financial acumen in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and NOI optimization. Candidates who are energized by building something new, comfortable navigating ambiguity and willing to stay hands-on in daily operations will be well suited to the position.
